Good morning. Just an observation, we are seeing the tyranny of the courts, Tyrannus Judicies.
The president has plenary power in matters if immigration relating to national safety.
No court should actually hear these objections. An obscure judge in Hawaii, over 3,000 miles
off shore issues a nationally binding ruling? His decision would have earned an F in law school.

On a lighter note, only about 2 hours to go before my NCAA brackets get blown up….

The 43 pages is HIS legal opinion on WHY he blocked the president’s ban. Meaning he should have been the one to write it. This, of course, really means someone else pre-prepared the opinion and then gave him his opinion just for this contingency.

      Begorra.

It’s St. Patrick’s day and all.

I had it all planned out for a Guinness tasting extravaganza at the Claddah Irish Pub this afternoon. By 5PM the lads who were finishing off their St Pat’s day looong lunch would be getting ready to leave. Then a bloody visiting Chinese, long winded, bastard insisted I brief him on a business deal that he wants to do before he flies home to China.

No Guinness and 2 hours of nudging the Chinese bastard in a direction where his cockamamie plans just might work.

      SPIT

Begorra there should be a law against this travesty. Keeping an Irish (with a touch of Scot and Welsh) man from his Guinness, on St Patrick’s Day and all.

      🙂

The first round in the Tournament features the LSAT Final Four. Notre Dame vs Princeton , and Northwestern vs
Vanderbilt. ND defeated Princeton, and Northwestern is up on Vandy 34 to 27 just starting the 2nd half.
All of us in the Chicago Area are pumped about Northwestern, they have NEVER been in the tournament
before, ever. Verily it is written that if NU goes to the 2nd Round that these are the End of Days.
No wait, that was the Cubs winning the World Series. Never mind.

      BUT NOT FOR LONG!!!

There´s an uniform that´s hanging in what´s known as
      father´s room
An uniform so simple in his style
It has no braid of gold or silk no hat with feathered
      plume
Yet the mother has preserved it all the while
One day she made me try it on, a wish of mine for years
“In memory of your father, son” she said
And when I put the Sam Browne on she was smiling with
      the tears
As she placed the broad black brimmer on my head

It´s just a broad black brimmer with ribbons frayed and
      torn
By the careless whisk of many a mountain breeze
An old trench coat that´s battle stained and worn
And breeches almost threadbare at the knees
A Sam Brown belt with buckle big and strong
      A holster that´s been empty many´s a day
When men claim Ireland´s freedom the one who’ll choose
      to lead them
Will wear the broad black brimmer of the IRA

It was the uniform been worn by me father long ago
When he reached me mothers homestead on the run
It was the uniform me father wore in that little church
      below
When oul Father Mac he blessed the pair as one
And after truce and treaty and the parting of the ways
He wore it when he marched out with the rest
And when they bore his body down that rugged heather
      braes
They placed the broad black brimmer on his breast

      1. The Gaelic race, alas, no leader owns,
The seed of Niall and Eibhear helpless moans,
      The face of Eire now is dark with woe;
And fallen her pride, when died great Owen Roe!
      2. All Erin lies in grief, from Boyne to Moy,
From Lene-Loch’s shore to Nore, they know no joy,
From Moy to Leim and Erne, the dread word goes,
“No blade nor shield succeeds to Owen Roe’s.”

      3. ‘Tis cold each day the piercing north-wind blows,
The sun no ray of cheering brightness shows,
The storm doth rage, and still doth fiercer grow,
All earth grows pale, since death claimed Owen Roe.

      4. In church-yard clay lies Erin’s generous Chief,
The Gael’s bright flower, this hour of bitter grief,
The trusty hand who ne’er forsook the right,
Leaves Eire’s land in danger, dark as night

      Lament for Owen Roe O’Neill

Yes, and it means judges aren’t autonomous anymore. Depending on the bench, a lot of these people get their appointment for life. It was supposed to allow them to be independent and not beholden to anybody. That doesn’t seem to be the case in a lot of their decisions these days.

I’m sure it’s not ethical. The legality’s more my concern. Would a legal challenge based on a 43 page opinion written in a matter of hours stand a chance?

Okay, if Trump’s really proposed cutting money to Meals on Wheels, that’s one I’ll disagree on. PBS? Sure. But let’s slash corporate welfare, the UN & sell off 20 or 30% of the cars and business jets the government owns & operates instead.
