    Happy St Patricks Day.

    At Boolavogue, as the sun was setting
    O’er the bright May meadows of Shelmalier,
    A rebel hand set the heather blazing
    And brought the neighbours from far and near.
    Then Father Murphy, from old Kilcormack,
    Spurred up the rocks with a warning cry;
    “Arm! Arm!” he cried, “For I’ve come to lead you,
    For Ireland’s freedom we fight or die.”

    He led us on against the coming soldiers,
    And the cowardly Yeomen we put to flight;
    ‘Twas at the Harrow the boys of Wexford
    Showed Booky’s Regiment how men could fight.
    Look out for hirelings, King George of England,
    Search ev’ry kingdom where breathes a slave,
    For Father Murphy of the County Wexford
    Sweeps o’er the land like a mighty wave.

    We took Camolin and Enniscorthy,
    And Wexford storming drove out our foes;
    ‘Twas at Sliabh Coillte our pikes were reeking
    With the crimson stream of the beaten Yeos.
    At Tubberneering and Ballyellis
    Full many a Hessian lay in his gore;
    Ah, Father Murphy, had aid come over
    The green flag floated from shore to shore!

    At Vinegar Hill, o’er the pleasant Slaney,
    Our heroes vainly stood back to back,
    And the Yeos at Tullow took Father Murphy
    And burned his body upon the rack.
    God grant you glory, brave Father Murphy
    And open heaven to all your men;
    The cause that called you may call tomorrow
    In another fight for the Green again.

      wait, what?

      Full many a Hessian lay in his gore

      are these the same hessians that were used against the americans in the revolutionary war?

      Okay, if Trump’s really proposed cutting money to Meals on Wheels, that’s one I’ll disagree on. PBS? Sure. But let’s slash corporate welfare, the UN, Departments of Energy and Education sell off 20 or 30% of the cars and non combat the government owns & operates instead.

      An Old Irish Blessing

      May the road rise up to meet you.
      May the wind always be at your back.
      May the sun shine warm upon your face,
      and rains fall soft upon your fields.
      And until we meet again,
      May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

      Happy St Paddys

      Sure is! I have to say that today is the first real Spring-like day we’ve had so far. It is gorgeous outside! And the tulips have peaked their green leaves out of the soil! It’s one of those days where you’re glad to be alive!

      Beautiful day here too. I did some work inside this morning, then cleaned up part of the yard & changed the oil in my car.

      Off to the pub this evening just for a bit to have a drop o’ the Irish with a friend.

      Well, my next battle with the VA has begun. My audiologist said that it would be a mistake if I didn’t file for a disability adjustment based on my hearing loss and my constant tinnitus. (Have had it on and off for years, but the last year or so it’s constant. Sometimes it’s so loud I can’t hear what’s going on around me. I have a setting on my hearing aids that’s supposed to help but so far no good.)

      If you go to an Irish pub to night do not order Bushmill’s, they will not have it. Jameson is Irish Whiskey
      distilled in the Republic.

      Speaking of the Tournament, I read some genius from ESPN.
      The guy is complaining that the First Round had no upsets.
      He must have missed Xavier and Middle Tennessee (pretty smug
      I have them in my brackets). Oh and no last minute wins.
      He apparently missed St Mary’s, Northwestern,Notre Dame
      and Michigan. ESPN sucks, this is a great tournament so far.

      I have been drug clean for 15 fucking years. You guys have no idea how devastating this is for me. Well, actually more than 15 years. But that is besides the point.

      The sins of my youth apparently are demanding to be paid today.

      Yes. I really was a Rock Star back in my mid 20’s. For the love of God, I drink beer, coffee and smoke cigarettes, aside from that I take aspirin and that is it.

      I turned 56 on 02/15/2017. I do not have a 401K, a retirement plan or anything set aside for my old age.

      Yes, I am genuinely fucked beyond anything you can imagine.

      Yes… This is 100 percent my own doing.

      The Devil has come to collect his due.

      I thought I could entertain people, that I could give them a place where all of the demands of the world could be in ignored for awhile, that maybe what I did would be good enough.

      I was wrong.

      Now I pay for that arrogance.

      Do an independat hair follicle drug test done and submit the results.

      It checks 1.5 inches of hair closest to scalp and it shows drug useage over 3 months. That should be enough to clear you.

      Straight away get a independent test and have it submitted from the testing agency. Then immediately re-apply for a second test as the firs test has given a false positive. Often that is due to operator error of sloppy handling procedures.

      Take the initiative mate and fight for your right to get a second test.

      Good luck.

      🙂
