Good morning. This is an opinion piece by some “political writer” Gene Sullivan.
He tortures logic and be advised that he wants so badly for Trump to be guilty that he makes wild assumptions
in typical lib fashion. This is the same guy who wrote a book about a right wing witch hunt against Bill Clinton.
Real double standard. Be advised that if you read the whole article you might get brain freeze.
Both major papers in Chicago are now just liberal rags.

Physician, heal thyself. It’s accepted in the psychiatric field that sociopaths gravitate toward professions that confer authority, a perfect camouflage for totalitarian thuggery to get its freak show on. That bitch shrink, Bandy Lee, wants to physically constrain Trumpin order to remove him from office
      —————-
Those who most require an evaluation are the least likely to submit to one. That is the reason why in all 50 states we have not only the legal authority, but often the legal obligation, to contain someone even against their will when it’s an emergency.

So in an emergency, neither consent nor confidentiality requirements hold. Safety comes first. What we do in the case of danger is we contain the person, we remove them from access to weapons, and we do an urgent evaluation.

This is what we have been calling for with the president based on basic medical standards of care.

Surprisingly, many lawyer groups have actually volunteered, on their own, to file for a court paper to ensure that the security staff will cooperate with us. But we have declined, since this will really look like a coup, and while we are trying to prevent violence, we don’t wish to incite it through, say, an insurrection.

Beware of ANYTHING that comes from the NZ Herald.

For a start the Herald has NIP … NADA, ZERO capability to carry out independent reporting. They just buy in WaPo, Guardian and NYT plus AP and Reuters news feeds and reprint them. The rest of what laughingly are called reporters by the NZ Herald, are just ‘man bites dog’ leftist, lowest common denominator types who can’t spell.

The NZ Herald is NOT a publication of record. It’s a socialist rag pumping out warmed over lightly can’t from other left wing papers.

The NZ Herald couldn’t string two words together to save itself. They don’t call the rag Pravda on the Waitamata Harbour for nothing.

If the story has some ‘legs’ and the FBI have had agents on the case for over a year already then good for them. Hillary needs her day in court and then she can go get measured for her orange jump suit.

Hmmmm You learn something new everyday.

Almost High Explosives and especially Plastic explosives are not reactive to heat or shock and need initiation to explode.

Hell we used to use a nub of PE4 as fuel on which to boil water for a cup of tea !

So I guess burning out explosives in a vest is a good idea.

My only worry would be that the heat might set off the detonator and that would not be good whilst there was PE4 still present.

      deflagration vs detonation

Deflagration is a term describing subsonic combustion propagating through heat transfer; hot burning material heats the next layer of cold material and ignites it.Most “fire” found in daily life, from flames to explosions, is deflagration.Deflagration is different from detonation, which propagates supersonically through shock waves. This means that when a substance deflagrates, it burns extremely quickly instead of detonating.

Mueller Looking At Ivanka Trump Over Greeting Russian Lawyer As She Left Trump Tower Meeting

Special counsel Robert Mueller is reportedly looking into the involvement of Ivanka Trump, an adviser to President Trump, after she briefly spoke with individuals who were present for the meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and a Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer at Trump Tower in June 2016.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the president’s eldest daughter spoke to Natalia Veselnitskaya and Russian-American lobbyist Rinat Akhmetshin as they exited Trump Tower following the meeting. A source told the paper that the two exchanged pleasantries by the Trump Tower elevator.

Mueller reportedly wants to know about every interaction between Trump’s family and inner circle and those at the meeting.

Mueller has also recalled one participant in the meeting for questioning as part of the federal probe into ties between the Russians and the Trump campaign.

Smacks of desperation. Personal anecdote: 20+ years ago, there was a guy where I worked who was let go for substandard performance (90’s defense layoffs, so the bar for layoff was set pretty low). I had known him, in passing for years and we would greet each other in the hallway. During the depositions, my name was included and I got called in to talk to the company lawyers. When they learned that my depth of interaction was basically seeing him and saying, “Hey Joe, how are things going?”, they just rolled their eyes, wrote it up and I never heard from them again.

I’m thinking the same is going to come from this.

      LYING FOR MONEY AND POWER

The Democrats are doing the same thing to Donald Trump that they did to Ronald Reagan–questioning his sanity, claiming he is senile and unstable, denying his fitness for office. There are two differences: the Democratic Party controls the press more monolithically today than it did durning the 1980s, and the Democrats hate Trump even more than they hated Reagan–something I never expected to see.

In this crazed historical moment, Ambassador Nikki Haley is, as usual, a voice of sanity. She responds to George Stephanopoulos’s faux concerns about the president. Notable quote: “Having been governor, now an ambassador, I’m always amazed at the lengths people will go to to lie for money and for power.”

I wonder how these people manage their checking accounts. Watching MSNBC for grins. They’ve been on Wolff’s book for over an hour. One guy, don’t know his name, says “We know from our own reporting that entire scenes in this book never happened, but there are deeper truths here”.

      ?????

I can’t be out of money, I still have checks.

it is. There are a couple people on twitter besides CTH who don’t have blogs but are doing yeoman’s work in investigating this stuff. ‘Katica’ is one, etc. The stuff you don’t hear ANYWHERE could fill a football stadium, but they’ve got it all archived. There is now an actual profession – something like ‘digital researcher’ – you can train for – and these people are relentless. I have no idea what they do for ‘real jobs’.

Especially in the case of Madoff – Harry Markopolous told the SEC over and over again that there was NO WAY Madoff could have pulled those numbers off and they refused to listen. His book is excellent, by the way.

      @ Deplorable Barbarian:

I am so pissed its not even funny. I bought stock in a company called EMXC for $0.01 per share. 10,000 shares. The company floundered around for years. Then was sold off as a shell to a Chinese marketing firm, its now trading at…. $55.10 per share.

When I demanded to know where my shares went from Scottrade, I was told, basically, you didn’t pay enough for those shares, so we confiscated them.

The SEC told me they would ask Scottrade if they did anything illegal, but that if Scottrade denied, oh well, there is nothing the SEC can do about it.

All because I didn’t pay enough for those shares. Some asshole criminal broker at Scottrade saw a chance to make half a million dollars at my expense and took it.

    84. 84 | January 8, 2018 12:57 pm

      @ doriangrey:

I have NEVER heard that a brokerage could confiscate your stock because “you didn’t pay enough” for it. There have been plenty of tales of penny stocks actually taking off.

Have you gotten in touch with Scottrade’s Legal Department? By law, Scottrade must provide verification of ANY movement, sale, purchase, etc. of your stock and therefore you are most certainly entitled to view this. If you have not already done so, I would send them a detailed letter, advising them of the circumstances of this particular transaction.

I am very much inclined to agree with your assessment of what happened. Frankly, I doubt that many people keep up with their “penny stocks” – in many cases I imagine that they forget all about them, especially if there is no movement in it at any time and selling would not result in a profit – and especially when a minimal investment amount is involved. Therefore, when the acquisition took place, a deceitful broker figured no one would notice and manuvered the record to put to the stock in his name. I also imagine that said unscrupulous broker found out that you indeed HAD been paying attention, he is probably not in a position to cover the $551,000 in monies you are owed.

I think this would be worth fighting in court. The scandal that ensnared Wells Fargo 18 months ago started, I believe, when ONE bank customer noticed that there were accounts in their name they had never opened.
