One Memo, To Go, Please!

by coldwarrior ( 150 Comments › )
Filed under Crime, Donald Trump, Open thread at February 1st, 2018 - 7:34 am

Let’s Release That Memo today! I’d like to get on with seeing just how corrupt the so called ‘patriots’ are in the FBI and Intel communities.

Oh, and I don’t buy the polling data or the ‘Blue Wave’ schtick from the Media:

An estimated 45.6 million people tuned in to watch President Donald Trump deliver his State of the Union address in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018.

While coverage varied by network, 12 aired live coverage from approximately 9:00 p.m. ET to 10:30 p.m. ET.

In terms of the social nature of the address, the State of the Union 2018 was the No. 1 most social program on Jan. 30, 2018. There were 21 million total interactions across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter about the State of the Union 2018. Of the 21 million total interactions measured, 41% occurred on Facebook, 7% occurred on Instagram and 52% occurred on Twitter.

here’s some inside baseball…the primary care docs get the call from the flu patient, they dnt feel like dealing with it so they send it to the ER

or the patient lies to us and hasn’t called the pcp and says that their doctor sent them in. regardless, we cant’t fix the flu. i would say that 75% of the people who come in for the flu don’t need to be in the ER. we’ll do a chest xray and we stopped doing flu swabs. we dont bother checking blood work or giving fluid either unless you re running a fever AND have infiltrates on your chest xray.

most of the wimp-assed entitled assholes who show up to my hospital in the wealthy suburbs get very perturbed that we can’t fix them when we tell them to go home, rest, take motrin/tylenol, drink plenty of WATER (not energy drinks) and call your pcp for further management. they wasted 2 hours of bed time.

these wimps, especially the 20-30 yo men are pathetic. i had one come in with his pillow and his mother! he’s 35!!!!!! the wealthy suburbs grow spineless pajama-boys and psychotoc, anti-depressant guzzling women with endless ‘belly problems’…don’t get me started on their kids!!!! Oi-vay!

    i hath vented. verily. 🙂

Democratic lead in generic House ballot collapses from 15 percent to just 2 percent: Poll

“..Democrats who counted on riding public hostility toward the tax bill to retake the House may have to rethink that strategy.”

Hostility to getting a bigger pay check. Pure genius.

    @ eaglesoars:

the entire left is overplaying their hand, as they move more to the left, trump can capture the center completely much to the ‘con’servatives ™ (r) chagrin and faux-rage.

    @ coldwarrior:

to be fair, there are a lot of stories in the media about otherwise healthy, young people just up and dying 2 days after getting sick. This flu is probably the sickest they’ve ever been and they don’t have experience with much more than a hangnail. It’s understandable they run for help because they have no rational way to evaluate this.

People are scared. I’m willing to believe that it was that guy’s mother who dragged him in – and brought the pillow. If it were my kid, I’d be worried too and not give a monkey’s butt what anybody else thought about it.

    just sayin….

Ari Fleischer had a good quote the other day. Something like the Dems keep moving farther and farther to the left and they’re going to fall off the earth, because for these people, the earth is flat.

No really, i have NEVER run into so many pajama boys in my life. Ive NEVER seen anything like this and it isnt just flu.

after one year in that place and seeing these wimps and psycho-women i dont know how they survive in the wild.

at my hood rat hospital, when we tell the flu patient that they will be ok, go home and follow MD orders they are grateful that they arent going ‘to die’ and will get better.

when we tell the same thing to the pastient in my wealthy suburb hospital, they get pissed off.

    its a facinating contrast.

By definition, Liberalism does not recognize the existence of objective reality. Ergo, there is only narrative. When the narrative t-bones the non-existent objective reality and reality wins, the cognitive dissonance is not reconcilable and they thrash around for what amounts to superstitious explanations, e.g., ‘fascism’, ‘racist’, etc.

For them, it’s like living in The Matrix.

Just one week after the Trump administration announced a massive 30% tariff on imported solar panels, one of China’s largest solar panel manufacturers announced plans to open a manufacturing plant in the United States.

The company, JinkoSolar, said on Monday that they have received the green light from their board of directors to “finalize planning for the construction of an advanced solar manufacturing facility in the U.S.”

The U.S. economy is on track to grow at a 5.4 percent annualized rate in the first quarter following the latest data on manufacturing and construction spending, the Atlanta Federal Reserve’s GDPNow forecast model showed on Thursday.

The latest estimate on gross domestic product was faster than the 4.2 percent growth pace calculated on Monday, the Atlanta Fed said.

Obviously Nervous James Comey Flips Out Hours Before Memo To Drop, Compares Situation To McCarthyism

Former FBI Director James Comey lashed out at unnamed “weasels and liars” on social media late Thursday, hours before President Trump was expected to declassify a controversial memo about purported surveillance abuses over the objections of Democrats.

“All should appreciate the FBI speaking up. I wish more of our leaders would,” Comey wrote on Twitter. “But take heart: American history shows that, in the long run, weasels and liars never hold the field, so long as good people stand up.

“Not a lot of schools or streets named for Joe McCarthy,” Comey added, a reference to the Wisconsin senator who claimed high-ranking government officials were Soviet spies in the 1950s.

Never mind the fact that McCarthy was right…

Absolutely to prevent overrunning that sweet spot and unleashing a runaway boom followed by a bust.

Right now in NZ the growth rate is stable right on the money of 3.6% and has been hovering there for quite some time.

I don’t like our chances however in the medium term as the socialists have just gained power, with a power brokering deal with NZ First a populist party, and with the bloody communist Greens. ANYTHING may happen!

The planemaker won a $5.65 billion lifeline for the endangered jumbo as United Parcel Service Inc. exercised options for 14 more of the freighters. The deal came weeks after Delta Air Lines Inc. parked the last of its 747 aircraft, marking the end of U.S. passenger service for the iconic humpbacked plane nicknamed the Queen of the Skies.

The UPS order rewards Boeing’s optimism that the venerable jet, which transformed air travel when it debuted in 1970, would live on as a cargo-hauler. The courier is also taking four Boeing 767 freighters as it rushes to keep up with growing demand and parlays gains from the recent U.S. corporate tax cut into stepped-up investment.

“The biggest reason we decided to expand is, one, we had an option on the 14, and with the tax reform that came in, it made us more optimistic that the economy was going to continue to be clicking,” said UPS Chief Executive Officer David Abney.

FBI Warns Republican Memo Could Undermine Faith In Massive, Unaccountable Government Secret Agencies

Stressing that such an action would be highly reckless, FBI Director Christopher Wray warned Thursday that releasing the “Nunes Memo” could potentially undermine faith in the massive, unaccountable government secret agencies of the United States. “Making this memo public will almost certainly impede our ability to conduct clandestine activities operating outside any legal or judicial system on an international scale,” said Wray, noting that it was essential that mutual trust exist between the American people and the vast, mysterious cabal given free rein to use any tactics necessary to conduct surveillance on U.S. citizens or subvert religious and political groups. “If we take away the people’s faith in this shadowy monolith exempt from any consequences, all that’s left is an extensive network of rogue, unelected intelligence officers carrying out extrajudicial missions for a variety of subjective, and occasionally personal, reasons.” At press time, Wray confirmed the massive, unaccountable government secret agencies were unaware of any wrongdoing for violating constitutional rights.

2 quarters into the 5.6, maybe half a percentage rate, that should be just enough to keep the growth rate from accelerating beyond 5.6 percent, but not enough to stall the growth rate, then 4 quarters in increase again another quarter percent to begin retarding the growth rate back down to a sustainable 3.6 percent. Cap it off with another quarter percent at the 6 quarter mark to hold the growth rate steady.

Just keep this in mind, housing is a lagging indicator. The housing market traditionally lags 2 to 3 quarters behind the rest of the economy.

Federal immigration agents raided 77 businesses in Northern California this week, demanding proof that their employees are legally allowed to work in the United States, officials said Thursday.

The businesses were given three working days to comply with the order, the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency said.

It was believed to be the largest such localized sweep of workplaces since President Trump took office. Thomas Homan, the agency’s interim director, has called for a large increase in such raids in recent months.

ICE did not identify any of the businesses its agents raided in the Bay Area and Sacramento region Monday through Wednesday. Agents made no immediate arrests, ICE said.

Yep. Another example is the loose interpretation of the Constitutional powers granted to the federal government. “Regulate interstate and foreign commerce” has become a blank check to the federal government to do whatever the heck it wants to do because there is nothing that does not fall under that umbrella. Wickard vs. Filburn was even worse than the Dred Scott decision IMHO — it held that because someone raised their own wheat to feed their own chickens on their own farm, they were engaged in interstate commerce because by raising said wheat, they were not buying it from somewhere and the wheat that would have been sold to them might have been raised in another state. ergo — they were affecting interstate commerce.

ICE Chief Warns Illegal Immigration ‘Not Going To Be OK Anymore’

In a fiery speech to hundreds of law enforcement officers, the acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement excoriated the political enablers of illegal immigration on Wednesday, saying he’ll “never back down” from safeguarding the border.

Speaking at the Border Security Expo in San Antonio, Thomas Homan singled out sanctuary cities and the ongoing congressional debate over so-called “Dreamers.”

“If we get a clean DACA bill, shame on all of us,” Homan said, referring to the Obama administration’s contentious Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. “You can’t address DACA and reward people that brought children here illegally and not address underlying reasons of DACA.”

Homan, who said that he “100 percent support[s] the wall,” added that he is “sick and tired of the vilification of the men and women of ICE and the Border Patrol,” according to multiple accounts of his speech.

Pelosi Goes Ballistic: Claims Conspiracy Theory, Demands Devin Nunes Be Stopped

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) demanded on Thursday that House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) remove Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) as chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, saying that he “disgraced” the committee with his actions.

Pelosi’s letter came one day after Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) accused Nunes of “secretly altering” the memo after the committee voted to release it and claimed it had “profound distortions and inaccuracies” — despite conflicting reports from senior FBI officials that they “could not point to any factual inaccuracies.” Pelosi wrote:

Chairman Nunes’ deliberately dishonest actions make him unfit to serve as Chairman, and he must be immediately removed from this position. … House Republicans’ pattern of obstruction and cover-up to hide the truth about the Trump-Russia scandal represents a threat to our intelligence and our national security. … It is long overdue that you, as Speaker, put an end to this charade and hold Chairman Nunes and all Congressional Republicans accountable to the oath they have taken to support and defend the Constitution, and protect the American people.

Byron York, chief political correspondent for the Washington Examiner, indicated on Wednesday that the changes made to the memo were requested by the Democrats and the FBI.

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ), Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, released the following statement on partisan attacks on the FBI and Department of Justice:

“In 2016, the Russian government engaged in an elaborate plot to interfere in an American election and undermine our democracy. Russia employed the same tactics it has used to influence elections around the world, from France and Germany to Ukraine, Montenegro, and beyond. Putin’s regime launched cyberattacks and spread disinformation with the goal of sowing chaos and weakening faith in our institutions. And while we have no evidence that these efforts affected the outcome of our election, I fear they succeeded in fueling political discord and dividing us from one another.

“The latest attacks on the FBI and Department of Justice serve no American interests – no party’s, no president’s, only Putin’s. The American people deserve to know all of the facts surrounding Russia’s ongoing efforts to subvert our democracy, which is why Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation must proceed unimpeded. Our nation’s elected officials, including the president, must stop looking at this investigation through the warped lens of politics and manufacturing partisan sideshows. If we continue to undermine our own rule of law, we are doing Putin’s job for him.”

The comments to his posting are positively deranged. It is obvious that these people do not occupy the same planet as those who are sane.

    wait for the OIG report

I do M&Ms and Resse’s cups, so more popcorn for youse!

I have my annual endoscopy Monday. The nurse called today to go over meds, etc. and asked me if I would require any special physical or spiritual assistance. I said ‘chocolate’. she laughed so hard she choked.

    ok, bedtime, nite.

I couldn’t post on the ‘Heroin/Fentanyl’ topic page so I’m going to here.
An old friend of mine buried his youngest daughter today. She was found still sitting on the edge of her bed, her 4 month old baby crying in her crib by her side, dead from a dope OD.
This stuff is so powerful she didn’t even get the chance to move before she was overcome and died. She didn’t inject it either, rather, she snorted it up her nose apparently.
4 young people in total died in her town and surrounding towns this past weekend, apparently all from the same batch. They did arrest the dealer, minimal consolation for the parents. This didn’t happen in a big city, in fact its kind of a rural ‘hometownie’ kind of area. 88 people died last year in the same county. This goes beyond DWI related accidents, suicides, whatever – its epidemic.
I’m not going to put it all at Barrys doorstep but man, what was he concerned with for the 8 years this stuff was infecting small town America across the country?
    Just sayin’.

    @ 4_Sticks:

what a nightmare. I’ve seen stories about cops making busts that get high just from touching the stuff.

I, however, WILL lay at least some of on Obama. See ‘Operation Cassandra’.

    What a tragedy.

“I, however, WILL lay at least some of on Obama”

Oh yeah, he certainly could have used his office to do a hell of a lot more about it than he did.
