Ever get up, drive to work, walk in and everyone looks at you funny?

Why are you here? Is then the next question. Then you hope and pray that they don’t need you so that you can go the hell home.

Yeah…BONUS DAY OFF! and I don’t have to be at work until Saturday Night.

WOOOT!

And altho his GPA was high, the schools are famous for grade inflation and crap cirriculum, so the unis give more weight to the SATs. You either know it or you don’t. He don’t.

Stormy Daniels filed a motion for expedited trial in her ridiculous lawsuit against Donald Trump. And Judge Otero denied it summarily as premature. But it’s the footnote in the order he issued that is classic Otero:

“The parties are advised that the instant litigation is not the most important matter on theCourt’s docket. Requests for expedited proceedings, hearings, and discovery not clearly supported by the record and law are discouraged.”

You know what Yeb! ? You can spend the rest of your petty life howling into the abyss

Speaking at Yale University, the former Florida Governor first claimed he would not get into a re-hash of the 2016 election (what would he have to say about it, anyway? He got 3 delegates after spending $150 million of other people’s money) But, according to Yale News, he eventually exorcised some demons by looking at the sunny side of his crushing defeat.

At one point, Bush described the current president as “Republican in basically name only.” And earlier in his speech, Bush said that after the 2016 Republican primary in South Carolina, he returned home to children who “actually love me.”

A Bay Area obstetrician-gynecologist and former member of a legendary punk band proved he retains his DIY sensibility at a recent medical malpractice trial, where he saved a prospective juror’s life. The judge declared a mistrial, fearing the doc’s heroics would sway the jury.

“No good deed goes unpunished,” Dr. James Lilja, a San Jose and Fremont-based physician and founding drummer of The Offspring, told Law360. Lilja left The Offspring in the late 1980s to deliver offspring.

Lilja faces medical malpractice charges, filed by Stephenie Sargiotto and her husband, John, in Alameda County Superior Court, for the alleged negligent treatment of Ms. Sargiotto.

Trial proceedings didn’t get very far this week after one of more than 35 prospective jurors collapsed, hit his head and lost consciousness, Law360 reports. Lilja and his nurse assistant rushed from the courtroom to the juror’s side and found him without a pulse and not breathing.

Lilja and his assistant administered CPR and shocked the man with an automated external defibrillator. When paramedics arrived, the man remained unconscious but had a pulse, Law360 said. The condition of the patient is unknown.

The brief act of gallantry led the plaintiffs’ attorney, Robert G. Schock, to ask Judge Ronni MacLaren for a mistrial. How could the potential jurors not be biased after witnessing the defendant’s bold action, Schock argued.

    heh. University of Pittsburgh grad.

As a fully paid up Aussie of the first water, all I can say is these two bastards should have had their ‘baggy greens’ burned and Warner should have got a life ban.

Particularly Warner who was the moron who thought up this scam. Warner is an entitled bully and a poseur who parades around with his Ferrari getting drunk and picking fights. His skank of a wife slept with most of the Randwick rugby team at the Coogee Bay hotel in olden times and Warner is triggered whenever folks bring that up, in response to his foul mouthed ‘sledging’ . That was the cause of the recent punch up in the entrance to the changing rooms after a typical Warner sledging marathon on the field with an opposition batsman.

The guy can dish it out but he can’t take it. He’s a talented cricketer but he’s also a bully and an entitled prick who is full of himself and prone to cheating whenever he thinks he can get away with it.

Smith, the Captain, probably deserves a 1 year ban as does the coach but Warner needs to be sent down with a life ban for bringing the game into disrepute.

Milo Jay Aukerman, Ph.D (born January 1, 1963)[1] is an American vocalist, songwriter, and former research biochemist. Aukerman is most widely known for being the lead singer of the punk rock band the Descendents, a group widely considered to be pioneers of “pop punk”.[2] A caricature of Aukerman serves as the band’s mascot
    .
Bryan Keith “Dexter” Holland (born December 29, 1965)[1][2][3] is an American musician, best known as the singer, rhythm guitarist, and primary songwriter for the punk rock band The Offspring. Holland was a doctoral student at the Laboratory of Viral Oncology and Proteomics Research, Keck School of Medicine, where he was supervised by Professor Suraiya Rasheed.[6] In March 2013, Holland and co-authors published a paper in PLoS One regarding microRNA in HIV genomes,[7] titled “Identification of Human MicroRNA-Like Sequences Embedded within the Protein-Encoding Genes of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus”.[8] The original academic paper describes the use of computational molecular biological (in silico) approaches to identify microRNA-like sequences in HIV. These sequences are suggested to have evolved to self-regulate survival of the virus in the host by evading its immune responses and thus influence the persistence, replication, and pathogenicity of HIV. Holland was awarded his Ph.D. degree in molecular biology during the USC Commencement on May 12, 2017.[9]

Gregory Walter Graffin, Ph.D. (born November 6, 1964) is an American punk rock singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, college lecturer, and author. He is most recognized as the lead vocalist, songwriter, and only constant member of the noted Los Angeles band Bad Religion, which he co-founded in either 1979 or 1980. He also embarked on a solo career in 1997, when he released the album American Lesion. His follow-up album, Cold as the Clay was released nine years later. Graffin obtained his PhD in zoology at Cornell University and has lectured courses in life sciences and paleontology at the University of California, Los Angeles and evolution at Cornell University.

James Frederick Lilja[1] (born May 1966), is an American gynecologic oncologist[2] and a musician from the Los Angeles area, perhaps best known as the second drummer of the punk rock band The Offspring, replacing Jim Benton and performing with the band between 1984 and 1987.[3]. Lilja amicably departed from The Offspring; The Offspring frontman Dexter Holland has said that Lilja was so focused on getting into medical school that the band let him go on friendly terms.[8] Lilja gained admission to University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he graduated with an M.D. in 1993.[11] Lilja’s position in the band was filled by Ron Welty in 1987,[3] who was only 16 years old at the time.[12]

After completing medical school, Lilja undertook an internship and residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (1994–1997) and a fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical School (1998–2000).[11] In 2001, he was board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology as an obstetrician and gynecologist. He finished fellowship at the University of Michigan in gynecologic oncology. In 2003, he was double board-certified as an obstetrician gynecologist and gynecologic oncologist.[2][11]

Currently, Lilja is a full-time surgeon working in Los Gatos, California. He has particular interest in clinical trial medicine. He is primary investigator and author of a clinical trial utilizing regional hyperthermia (“HIPEC” or Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy). He formed a start-up company with several other scientists called ThermalCore (DBA Verthermia) that is developing a whole body hyperthermia treatment currently undergoing a human phase I trial.

    @ eaglesoars:

    Daniel Greenfield sums it up:

DON’T TALK ABOUT THE PARKLAND STUDENTS, TALK ABOUT WHO’S BEHIND THEM

Back in February, I wrote a blog post, “Don’t Attack Lefty Human Shields.”

    Remember Sandra Fluke?

The Democrats brought her in to undermine religious freedom with a ridiculous story about being unable to afford birth control. They brought her in because she was an earnest, young woman. And a human shield. Republicans should have ignored her. Instead they attacked her. And that made her a celebrity and a victim.

Most importantly, the left got to shift the conversation from the religious freedom of nuns to whether the right hates female sexuality. That’s exactly the conversation it wanted to have.

President Trump brought a lot of guests to the State of the Union. Democrats didn’t attack them. They ignored them.

And when it came to Parkland, I wrote, “the smart way is to go after the men behind the curtain, not the teens in front of it.”

We know that March for Our Lives is run by adults. The average age of adult March attendees is 49. The Parkland teens are there as political human shields. They want you to attack them.

What they don’t want to do is…

    1. Have a conversation about the adults behind the curtain

    2. Talk about the armed guards that the adult celebrities funding this media circus have

    3. Discuss where all the money is coming from and where it’s going to

    4. Polls showing that young people are actually less on board with gun bans than older voters

The left thinks tactically. It picks the fight it wants to have by choosing its troops. It wants to keep the Parkland teens in the spotlight for as long as possible. And it wants them to be attacked. Because being attacked makes them victims all over again.

Don’t fight the battles that the left wants you to. Don’t fight them on their terrain using the tactics that they want you to use.

When you attack the human shields, you validate the left’s larger narrative that

    1. There is an independent student movement

    2. That this movement of survivors and victims is under fire for standing up to the “gun lobby”.

When you attack human shields. The people behind them win.

Talk about Bloomberg, Soros and the wizards behind the curtain. Don’t take the bait of attacking their human shields. There’s nothing to win by doing so. They’re not the issue. The professional activists and their billionaire overlords are.

Don’t have the conversation that the left wants to have. Have the one they don’t want to have.

    Ingraham fell for the trap.

Larry King: Second Amendment Was Created to ‘Ward Off Slave Uprisings,’ Repeal It

Larry King claimed Wednesday that the Second Amendment was instituted to “ward off slave uprisings” and no longer has a function in the 21st century.

King, standing outside of a restaurant in Beverly Hills, California, told TMZ that he agrees with former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, who wrote in a New York Times op-ed published Tuesday that the Second Amendment should be repealed.

“I favor changing the Second Amendment,” King said. “Yeah, repeal it.”

The former talk-show host added that he believes the Second Amendment was “poorly written.”

Mattis Jokes to Bolton, ‘I Heard You’re Actually the Devil Incarnate’

Secretary of Defense James Mattis met President Trump’s new national security adviser, John Bolton, at the Pentagon Thursday afternoon, and he broke the ice with a joke.

“It’s good to finally meet you,” Mattis said as the two walked up the steps of the Pentagon. “I heard you’re actually the devil incarnate, and I wanted to meet you.”

Bolton responded by laughing as they entered the building.

He’s right there. They should have been less flowery and stated what they really meant as revealed in their other writings:

No, there is absolutely nothing wrong with how the 2nd Amendment is written. There is a problem with people today and their comprehension of the English language.

The language is not “FLOWERY” more importantly, if you speak English, and actually comprehend it, the 2nd is one of the most forceful, straight forward and inclusive statements in the entire US Constitution.

All of those comma’s used in it, they are there for a reason.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

They are there, because there are 4 very specific parameters being established. Each of those parameters are already well defined within the Colonial legal statutes at the time.

“A well regulated Militia” In all 13 colonies a well regulated militia was defined as “every able bodied male citizen having reached the age of 18 who possessed a firearm and attended basic militia training once a year as mandated by law”.

“being necessary to the security of a free State” Each of the colonies defined both “free state” and “security” as the ability of said state to defend its borders and make its own laws in accordance with the will of its citizens.

“the right of the people to keep and bear Arms” “of the people” is a especially significant phrase, as it not only had a prior existence in colonial law, but is one of the few preexisting legal phrases from colonial law to be directly employed in the US Constitution. Its literal legal translation is “every individual CITIZEN residing in the aforementioned state”.

“to keep and bear arms” literally means to have at the ready at all times either in ones home or on their person.

“Shall not be infringed” Shall not is an interesting phrase, in that it is actually a damned near ANCIENT English legal term which translates very specifically to “Under no circumstances will” it does not as most people today assume mean, “Should not”. it means CANNOT.

“infringed” is another ancient legal term. Its definition is ” To break to plane of a property boundary”. It is almost always confused these days with the word “Trespass” which means “to enter upon another’s property” Before you can trespass, you must infringe.

Trespassing is walking up someones front sidewalk to their door and entering their house. Infringing is opening their front gate and stepping onto their front sidewalk.

The way the 4 parameters of the 2nd amendment were intentionally constructed makes the 2nd amendment the single most forceful legal clause in the entire US Constitution.

The 1st amendment say “Congress shall make no law”. and most people think that that is about as forceful of a statement as the Constitution makes. But they think that because they do not understand the conjunction of “Shall Not” and “Be Infringed”.

The 1st amendment in legal terms bars congress from taking sides in religion or public discourse, i.e. free speech. Whereas from a purely technical and legal standpoint, the 2nd bars congress and the various states from passing any laws or regulations on the firearms ownership of any free citizen of any state or territory of the United States.

If you abide by what the 2nd amendment says, every single firearms law and regulation in the United States is unconstitutional. This is why the SCOTUS is very careful to not agree to hear appeals that touch directly on gun laws. Heller v DC was a done deal as was McDonald v. Chicago the second SCOTUS decided to hear them.

    Killing dogs is terrible.

    However

Chinese manufacturers also deliberately killed babies with milk formula contaminated with Melanin that bulked it out. It destroyed babies’ livers. They took pure NZ branded bulk milk powder and ‘blended’ it with garbage to make it more bulky and to increase their profits. The CEO and COO were both shot at a sports stadium by a firing squad, but the babies were still dead and over 100,000 babies were very sick and many were permanently invalided.

    @ doriangrey:
Alas the only brief attempt at rebellion in Australia was the Eureka Stockade, which from the off was a total screw up.The so called Stockade was more just a line of overturned carts and a few sand bags. Up to 11,000 miners mostly of Irish extraction revolted over monthly mining licences levied by the Victorian government. By 1854 it was coming to a head. There were even 200 Californian Rangers present !The police lost control and the state government brought in two regiments of red coats. After the usual miners Saturday night drinking most went back to their tents on the gold fields to sleep off the grog leaving under 200 holding the stockade under the flag of the Southern Cross. The attack lasted less than an hour with fewer than 10 actually killed and about 20 or more wounded. Many wounded were then bayonetted on the ground until a Police officer stopped the red coats killing the lot. They took about 130 prisoners who were tried for treason but the Victorian government lost their b bottle because there were 10-12000 people attending the trial. All were found not guilty and the miners won all of their demands and the insurrection died one its feet. Peter Laylor the leader of the revolt eventually ended up in the Senate.

The Eureka flag remains the flag of choice as the Australia standard when eventually Australia becomes a Republic. Last time it was put to the people the elites attempted to screw the terms by insisting that the House and Senate appoint the President rather than the people. It failed some 20 years ago and the next time the question is put the elites will hopefully have learned their lesson and will make it a straight vote by the electorate. Whether they will use an electoral college is a good question otherwise the populous Eastern States will totally dominate the proceedings.

    Ingraham fell for the trap.

    https://www.frontpagemag.com/point/269753/dont-talk-about-parkland-students-talk-about-whos-daniel-greenfield

It doesn’t matter. They lose by going after them too. The left has convinced the “normies” that Soros is an imaginary boogeyman created by the right. I’ve talked to plenty of people that think the right talking about Soros is crazy talk, like the left and the koch brothers.

The Blackhawks needed an emergency goalie, and an accountant from Oak Park saved the day

CHICAGO — In a season where you expect the unexpected with one of the more consistent franchises in the NHL, this one might top them all.

Unlike many of the surprises from this year’s Blackhawks team, however, this one was incredibly positive. In fact, it’s downright inspirational.

During warmups for Thursday’s game with the Jets, goaltender Anton Forsberg suffered a lower leg injury. That forced backup Collin Delia, who was called up to replace J.F. Berube this week, into the starting role. In his place, the Blackhawks brought in an emergency goalie literally from the Johnny’s Icehouse adult leagues.

That’s 36-year-old accountant Scott Foster, who was signed to a one-day amateur tryout agreement, and since the team was down to a single goalie, he had to suit up. This came just hours after he finished working at Chicago’s Golub Capital as an accountant, when suddenly he found himself a member of the Blackhawks.

“I was probably a block away, so moments before warm up, roughly give or take,” Foster said, explaining when he found out he would be the official backup for the Blackhawks. “The initial shock happened when I had to dress and I think you just kinda blackout after that.”

Little did he know what was coming about two hours later.

With 15 minutes left to go in the game against the Jets, Delia exited the game with an injury, and in came Foster. Leading 6-2, there wasn’t a lot of worry about putting the amateur goalie into the net for the end of the third period. In fact, coach Joel Quenneville was laughing a bit when Foster emerged from the locker room in his pads.

“I don’t think I heard anything other than, ‘Put your helmet on,’” said Foster, who in his No. 90 jersey skated to the crease.

In the process of fulfilling a lifelong dream, he also came up with a once-in-a-lifetime performance.

Facing a playoff-bound Winnipeg squad, Foster stopped all seven shots he faced over the final 14:01 of the game to hold onto the four-goal lead for a victory.

Known as the Viacrucis Migrante 2018, the caravan began on March 25 in the state of Chiapas and is expected to reach Tijuana within a month where the members of the group are expected to request refugee status from the U.S. government. The caravan is organized by the immigrant rights group Pueblo Sin Fronteras who have been posting updates about the caravan’s journey through Mexico.

during the Obama admin – quite early, actually – I found out I know people who know things. The only thing that surprises me is that so much has come out. I know of people who were once involved in this world – on the tech side – who have gone completely off the grid. Their families can’t find them – even with CIA connections. All they have is proof of life. Family members die and they don’t show up for funerals but send signals they know.

You may remember I was warning about how the most anodyne devices could and probably are set up to monitor us right out of the box. Now people are aware of it, but I was yelling about it years ago. One of the reasons I started asking questions is that I realized the TV in my sitting room was taking pics at 4 am every day. That was the last straw that sent me on my hunt.

It’s one of the reasons I don’t take the so-called backstory on Christopher Steele at face value.

The caravan is organized by the immigrant rights group Pueblo Sin Fronteras who have been posting updates about the caravan’s journey through Mexico.

I’m betting 1000 of them are cartel

They’d have to be cartel associated at least to make it across Mexico’s SOUTHERN Border!

    🙂

This is choreographed, and they KNOW how obnoxious he is. I’d bet he was tested as being the “most obnoxious” within the group.

If violence is perpetrated against him, I want it to be by vehicle, crossbow, or atlatl, not a firearm.

This is a statement from the jury foreman in the Noor Salman case. It’s sad. The bottom line: inconsistencies about the FBI evidence. Nobody can trust the FBI anymore.

The Noor Salaman jury foreman explains why they returned a not guilty verdict.
It boils down to the jury did not trust the FBI to provide a faithful account of her statements during interrogation ‘
    which included inconsistencies.
The FBI has really tarnished the brand.
    Oh and good morning.

I’d perceive that as an attack on our country. I’d want to meet it with military force 100 miles before the US border. A polite force. But a stopping force. If they have a real issue let’s address it at their home first.

Despite their being in Mexico without authorization, no one has made any effort to stop them.

so how much pressure is the US putting on mexico to stop this.
at what point do WE have to stop this?
do we stop this? just let them just flow into our country?
if we do stop this, how much do we have to do?
