Still not sure what’s causing the threads to cut off, but here’s a new one.

Comments and respectful debate are both welcome and encouraged.

Comments are the sole opinion of the comment writer, just as each thread posted is the sole opinion or post idea of the administrator that posted it or of the readers that have written guest posts for the Blogmocracy.

Obscene, abusive, or annoying remarks may be deleted or moved to spam for admin review, but the fact that particular comments remain on the site in no way constitutes an endorsement of their content by any other commenter or the admins of this Blogmocracy.

We're not easily offended and don't want people to think they have to walk on eggshells around here (like at another place that shall remain nameless) but of course, there is a limit to everything.

Play nice!

  4. 4 | April 11, 2018 10:36 am

    @ darkwords:

Speaking of Suckerberg, he has REALLY stepped in it, saying that FB is “responsible for its content” —

    https://twitchy.com/sarahd-313035/2018/04/10/big-mistake-did-mark-zuckerberg-just-sign-facebooks-death-warrant-video/

Essentially he has claimed that FB is a publisher and not a platform. Now it can be asserted – for libel and slander purposes – that he has ALL the liability that attaches to a publisher.

I agree with the individual who says the Legal Department at FB is probably scrambling for damage control.

Per WordPress.org threads there is a discussion setting switch to set a timer on closing comments. A number of similar complaints are from bluehost.com blogs. That might suggest some system activity on their part.

Not just that. I think Zuckerberg just got caught in a big fat lie.

Cruz: “Let me try, because the time is constrained. … The predicate for Section 230 under the CDA is that you are a neutral public forum. Do you consider yourself a neutral public forum, or are you engaged in political speech, which is your right under the First Amendment?” (Editor’s note: Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act does not require tech platforms to act as neutral public forums, according to the Electronic Frontier Foundation.)

Zuckerberg: “Well, senator, our goal is certainly not to engage in political speech. I’m not familiar with the specific legal language of the law that you speak to, so I would need to follow up with you on that. I’m just trying to lay out how I broadly think about this.

He’s not familiar w/230? If he wasn’t before the hearing he certainly should have been briefed. He HAD to have been briefed. I think he’s lying.

    @ eaglesoars:

The FB legal department would have done MULTIPLE prep sessions with him. And if they didn’t, or he refused to conduct them, he’s an idiot. And Zuck? There’s an old saying, trite but true:

“Ignorance of the law is no excuse.”

Oh, and then there’s THIS snazzy little admission:

    https://twitchy.com/gregp-3534/2018/04/11/does-this-admission-about-diamondandsilk-spell-big-trouble-for-facebook/

He apologized and said that the suspending of their page was an “enforcement error”. No one followed up with “how was it an enforcement error?” “How many conservative ‘enforcement errors’ are there vis-a-vis content as opposed to liberal errors”?

I can’t vouch for this site one way or the other, so FWIW

Clintos and McCabes were neighbors in Chappaqua NY for 30 YEARS

    ————-

Inspector General investigators and real estate records confirm Andrew McCabe and his wife were long-time neighbors and likely family friends with Bill and Hillary Clinton in Chappaqua, NY where the former President and Secretary of State still reside.

Decades before McCabe cleared Hillary in the FBI’s controversial email investigation. From recent revelations, it appears the two families — the McCabe’s and the Clinton’s — have a personal and professional alliance spanning three decades.

In fact, the McCabe’s lived a half- mile away from the Bill and Hillary for years while Andrew worked as a supervisor with the New York FBI field office in Manhattan. McCabe likely withheld or “masked” this key information from FBI brass who examined his family’s relationship with Hillary Clinton during a conflict-of-interest probe of McCabe, officials said.

Federal law enforcement officials said the revelation that the Clinton’s and McCabe’s were neighbors and likely family friends long before 2016 was uncovered by a mortgage loan McCabe secured from the Justice Department’s federal credit union. It was the loan that revealed the McCabe’s previous residence in Chappaqua to Inspector General officials, sources said.

Ted Cruz may suck as a conservative, politicians and all around descent human being, but he is a damned good lawyer. If he has Suckerberg in his legal sights, Suckerberg is very likely in the deep do-doo already and he just don’t know it.

Mueller is beyond dangerously desperate, he has moved into suidically desperate territory. If he fails, then the senior administrative level of the Obamanation Administration is all headed for prison, Mueller included.

The FBI and DOJ have serious egg on their face when it comes out that the entire justification for the Russia-Collusion circus was a lie.
The ‘Australian diplomat talking to Mr. (George) Papadopoulos’ scenario sounds more and more like an invented intel operation, and after all, why would a third party foreign diplomat suddenly become a US spy and inform on a US businessman? The whole thing stinks of falsified statements made by the FBI under Obama orders to spy on a political opponent.
The great problem will be that the Australian diplomat must be named and as a diplomat does not need some sweetheart DOJ deal to testify, they already have diplomatic immunity. If the fabricated version of the investigated document does not match reality the people will know the entire operation including the Mueller witch hunt is what it is, a coup attempt against a sitting government.
I predict that the Cohen raid is Mueller’s attempt to keep the ball rolling. If the Special Investigator is shut down because the source of the entire hunt was in fact an invested Fusion GPS style propaganda then the NY office of the US attorney can keep it going. Eventually it too will run out of excuses to burn taxpayer money and then farm the circus off to a States Attorney in Long Island or New Jersey or Wichita or….
Grab the letter and jail Wray and Rosenstein. Having a Republican Attorney General is meaningless if they don’t control their department.

Post Script: Dug a little deeper and realized that the above Australian Diplomat is Alexander Downer, a career leftist with ties to the corrupt Clinton Foundation. He was instrumental in getting $25 million in funding to the Foundation. The grant is now in question due to financial mismanagment and charges of money laundering. A Clinton crime family operative started the entire witch hunt. Good Grief.

There are very strict rules concerning source validation . No info is accepted from. a drunk source .

Downer as a former foreign minister is aware of this rule.

He interfered in the us election.

This was opined just now to me by a former Spy Catcher in Chief of A.S.I.O who was active at the time when Alex Downer was the Australian Foreign Minister (Sec State equivalent).

From my perspective the whole ball of wax surrounding Russia, collusion and political interference in the election had run its course and casting about for another lever with which to attack Trump they found Cohen. Anything and I do mean ANYTHING can be turned to use by these creeps by subverting the truth and pushing the law to the limits and even breaking the law when needed.

Mueller sees Cohen as a weak link in the Trumpian armour. The fascist left will work away trying to threaten Cohen and either flip him of use privilege information to directly drag Trump into a moral morass thus undermining his Presidency.

Remember Whitewater was the premise that ended up with the stained blue dress. This time the left has gone directly to the ‘blue dress stage’ with Trump and allocations of hanky pranked with Daniels.

not news. There are youtube videos out there with a KGB defector talking all about it. The author of your article wrote an entire book that covered it, among other things (“Disinformation”). Frank Marshall Davis, who was Obama’s mentor if not his actual father, took it and started Black Liberation Theology.

I had the great honor of chatting online with Pacepa some years ago. An incredibly brave man, I think he still lives looking over his shoulder.

    https://www.weaselzippers.us/381395-alabama-football-players-pray-for-donald-trump-and-his-staff-at-the-white-house/

    From the Article (Daily Caller)

“Donald Trump welcomed the Crimson Tide to the White House yesterday to recognize the team for their national championship victory. Of course, it was a special moment for the team, but what happened after the ceremony was truly amazing.

“After Trump finished praising Alabama for their incredible comeback victory over Georgia in the national championship, punter J.K. Scott pulled the president aside and asked if he could pray for Trump and his staff. A handful of Scott’s teammates then circled around Trump and bowed their heads in prayer together.”

But then again, I don’t recall a single Tide player saying beforehand that they wouldn’t visit the White House if invited…..

I would be content if Rosenstien and company were prosecuted, and then, denied the favoritism of “Club Fed” and incarcerated in the average federal prison, where they have the privilege of not having protective custody and have to live in the prisons general population.

One of the theories for having a prison system, is that the possession of clear and concise understanding of what awaits you in the event you are caught having violated some specific legal statute should provide a significant deterrence to committing the crime.

Currently, we see absolutely no deterrent capacity in the justice system especially with regards to senior administrative level civil servants. They have Zero fear of getting caught, and even less fear of the consequences of getting caught.

Comey, McCabe, Rosenstien, Mueller, Clapper, Brennan, Lynch, need to find themselves serving very long sentences in the very same prisons that your average low level drug dealer, pimp, burglar, car thief, rapist or murderer would serve their sentence at. Put them on the fucking 3 yard with all of the hardened career criminals, after all, that is exactly who and what they are. Put them with their true peers.

    @ doriangrey:

And this is what makes Sessions complete detachment from this entire process so infuriating. He should do the decent thing and resign. DeGenova, McCarthy, Giuliani would also be better suited to this task. He crows about MS-13 and Sanctuary Cities but under his nose is a usurpation of his authority in the form of Mueller’s expanding “mandate” and criminal FBI agents that are still on the payroll when they should be arraigned in a federal court.

Sessions should have told Trump that he would be recusing himself from Russia BEFORE accepting the post. He and he alone is responsible for this runaway witch hunt. Someone with a spine would have had told Congress “I have nothing to apologize for, I committed no perjury and you’re all full of crap if you think I’m backing down.”

“I encourage you to consider the possibility that the frustration you are experiencing now, and that which I had a few years back, are both inevitable consequences of the fact that the Dodd-Frank… Act insulates the Bureau from virtually any accountability to the American people through their elected representatives,” Mulvaney wrote.

There is NO WAY that the USS Truman can make it to the Eastern Mediterranean before the 23 April even at maximum speed. The only other flat top is the Amphib Aboard mini flat top and it’s in the Gulf and nominally carries only helicopters that would be out of range of any i=immediate action in the Eastern Med. There could possibly be a few and I mean a few F35s aboard but want;s the point having aboard as they can operate off the land a lot closer to any action.

Frankly I doubt that ANYTHING significant is going to happen in the Eastern Med before 23 Apr at the earliest.
