A friend of mine asked me how much I’ve spent on cigars over my lifetime…I told her that that topic shouldn’t be discussed in polite company.

    Greetings and salutations y’all.
My wife is out of town with my daughter until Tuesday .
I told my BFF Bill that I am going to do anything that I want. Yeah baby!
So Last night after I dropped them at the airport I had dinner, the a bourbon and a cigar on the deck with the dogs.
Hmmm, that’s what I do when she is home.
But tonight I am going to a restaurant for the annual cousins dinner.
Hmmm, I would do that anyway with my wife.
Ok, there is tomorrow night. But it’s Sunday, and you know work the next day.
Then Monday night , but who does anything on Monday night?
Then I pick them up Tuesday.
But, I could have done anything!

I took the family on a summer holiday to Cyrpus and smoked my favorite cigars– Habanos Romeo y Julieta (No. 2 or 3) which run about €6 a pop. I enjoyed them way too much me thinks.

I saw a picture. They found one shoe.

I’ve been running around all day, so I haven’t kept up/caught up with whatever is going on. But I did catch this headline, speaking of irony

One of the activists shouted: ‘A man who says he’s a lesbian is a rapist’

    Logic.

One of the things I was running around doing was picking up my new car. The Heathen Beagles no longer have to crawl over each other in back seat, they’ve got their own ‘pad’ back there. Done.

Mulvaney’s challenger for CFPB leadership resigns

Leandra English, the deputy director of the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB), announced on Friday that she was resigning, having failed to sue President Trump for control of the controversial agency.

Trump tapped budget director Mick Mulvaney as acting director of the regulatory agency after Obama appointee Richard Cordray resigned in November.

But English, who was promoted to deputy director shortly before Cordray quit, argued that she should become acting director and cited the 2010 Dodd-Frank Act — which created the bureau and gave the director the authority to appoint an acting director.

Supported by congressional Democrats, English sued the administration. Republicans backed Trump in claiming he was allowed to appoint Mulvaney due to longstanding laws over presidential appointees. Federal judges found in favor of Trump.

“I want to thank all of the CFPB’s dedicated career civil servants for your important work on behalf of consumers,” English said in a statement, adding that she intends to drop her lawsuit after Trump nominated Kathy Kraninger in June to head the bureau.

I just got a call from Macker. He’s asked me to pass this on as he just doesn’t have the energy for it anymore.

The cancer had spread to his liver and now to the kidneys. His doctors gave him the news today and they are moving him to hospice on Tues.

For those who don’t know him personally, his name is Josh Spencer.

He’s not in pain, he’s just tired. And sad. This has happened a lot faster than any of us expected.

Prayers are still needed and welcome, just what is prayed for will be a bit different.

Actually, I think this is more sinister. When the anarchy continues, this is going to make citizens necessarily taking the law into their own hands federal felons. This is very Bolshevik when you look at it from this perspective — note they only use the word lynching, not as a race-based offense. The Bolsheviks did the same thing, inspired anarchy and chaos and made it a crime for the regular person to defend themselves.

Just stopped by to post this. In the event you were wondering whether or not Paul Ryan is a pig, wonder no more.

Paul Ryan will abide by Ohio State findings in Jim Jordan scandal

House Speaker Paul Ryan called the recent allegations raised against Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, “serious” in a statement on Friday.

“These are serious allegations and issues,” a spokesman for Ryan told USA Today in an email. “The university has rightfully initiated a full investigation into the matter. The speaker will await the findings of that inquiry.”

In case you’ve missed some details, some of Jordan’s accusers are convicted felons and ‘information’ is being solicited publicly by Perkins-Coie, the law firm implicated in the Trump-Russia collusion scam, who will be ‘sharing’ anything they’re given with the ‘investigators’ at the university.

On top of that, Jordan’s nephew, also a wrestler, was killed in an auto accident a few days ago.

    ok, off to bed.
