Frustrated Democratic lawmakers are offering Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez some advice: Cool it.
Ocasio-Cortez stunned the political world with her upset primary victory last month over Rep. Joseph Crowley (D-N.Y.), the head of the House Democratic Caucus and a rising star within the party.
But while the improbable win made Ocasio-Cortez an overnight progressive superstar, a number of House Democrats are up in arms over her no-holds-barred approach, particularly her recent accusation that Crowley, who has endorsed her candidacy, is seeking to topple her bid with a third-party run.
Some legislators are voicing concerns that Ocasio-Cortez appears set on using her newfound star power to attack Democrats from the left flank, threatening to divide the party — and undermine its chances at retaking the House — in a midterm election year when leaders are scrambling to form a united front against President Trump and Republicans.
The members are not mincing words, warning that Ocasio-Cortez is making enemies of soon-to-be colleagues even before she arrives on Capitol Hill, as she’s expected to do after November’s midterms.
“She’s carrying on and she ain’t gonna make friends that way,” said Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-N.J.). “Joe conceded, wished her well, said he would support her … so she doesn’t know what the hell she’s talking about.”

My point is, it seems the unemployment rate in the area I live has increased dramatically.
I have friends in this apartment complex who obviously are LEGAL aliens who are out of work.
A year ago if I slept late and left for work at 9am the parking lot at the apartment was almost empty.
Now at 9am it is still half full.
Talked to some of my neighbors yesterday in the parking lot where they congregate in the evenings.
They tell me there is no work.
So, my totally unfounded suspicion that I cannot prove is….
In this area LEGAL aliens are becoming unemployed because ILLEGAL aliens are taking their jobs from them.
And the AMERICAN employers of ILLEGAL aliens should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Legal permanent residents are too. Also in addition to the above we are fingerprinted, background checked and have to undergo a full medical before our green card is even considered. And we have to PAY to be fingerprinted and FBI background checked. I have no problem with that.
Now, some assholes are wanting “open borders” where we just let anyone in regardless, and without documentation?
No. That is wrong. These “illegals” should be removed as soon as they are apprehended. No sneaking through the back door, or up a fire escape, or an open window, or crawling through an air condition duct.
You politely knock on the front door. And there are many front doors you can knock on. The United States of America has an embassy in most countries and in the larger countries several consulates.
Those are the front doors that immigrants should knock on and ask for entry to the USA.

Democrats are making it sound like Trump is sending McFaul over to Russia on a one-way ticket. Russian officials wish to interview him. They will come here to do it. They will not throw a coat over his head and abduct him a-la Mengele out of Argentina and bring him to Russia to stand trial.
If we wanted to interview the that former Russian ambassador, for instance, on this issue of meddling in the campaigns, what would the reaction be if Putin refused to make him available to, say, Mueller?

The short answer is, yes. To both. Numbers do not have dimensions, dimensions have numbers. Our natural senses allow us to easily grasp a Cartesian system with four place values. X, Y, Z and T. Where X is width, Y is height Z is depth and T represents time, or movement.
Well, as it just so happens, the Universe we live in has more than 4 dimensions. It has depending on which version of the super symmetry theory you ascribe to either 11 or 22 dimensions.
The Standard Model of physics has been utterly amazing at predicting certain aspects of Quantum Physics. Quantum Physics, just in case you do not actually understand what it is, is the layer of reality that exist 1 layer below the subatomic. The particles of Quantum physics are the matter/energy that electrons Neutrons and protons are made out of.
The problem is…. While the Standard Model is amazingly accurate in dealing with the majority of Quantum Physics… Quantum Physics is ragged around the edges. What that means is that the Standard Model does not explain certain aspect of Quantum physics, even though it predicts it extremely well.
Things like Quantum Tunneling and Entanglement are ragged edges in the Standard Model. And trying to explain those ragged edges has lead to a new (and extremely young) branch of Physics. Of which there are several competing varieties.
Basically what you have stumbled on, is something loosely being called “Emergence Theory”. Einstein’s “Special Relativity” hinted at it, but the math is so weird and convoluted that it has mostly been ignored until now.
T^he simplest explanation I can give you for Emergence Theory is, that in Emergence Theory there are more than 4 dimensions to the Universe, so far, everyone dabbling in it are concentrating on 8 dimensions. They are counted from 0 to 10.
Why 8? Because the ) dimensions has… Zero dimensions, as does the 10th dimension, and the 9th dimensions is a pseudo-space connecting the 0 dimension and the 10th dimensions. Which leaves 8 physical dimensions.
Within every dimension, mathematics works slightly different. This is where Dimensional Numbers comes from. In higher dimensions every dimension represents degrees of latitude in movement. (just as they do in our perceivable 4 dimensional space).
In 8 dimensional space, it is not, up, down, right, left, forward backward future, past. Its up, down, right, left, forward, backward, future, past, fill in the blank, fill in the blank, fill in the blank, fill in the blank, fill in the blank, fill in the blank, fill in the blank, fill in the blank, fill in the blank. Where each “Fill in the blank” is a direction that you can move.
Now, remember, I said that Quantum Theory/The Standard Model was ragged around the edges, it can predict quantum tunneling and quantum entanglement, but it cannot explain it. This is where Emergence Theory comes in. Emergence Theory is suppose to define all of those “Fill in the blanks” in order to explain how a Quantum tunneled or teleported or entangled particle actually moves from point a) to point b).
It is also suppose to predict a whole new table of particles which would breach the gap in size between quantum particles and fundamental forces known as “Gauge Fields” 1) the strong nuclear force, 2) the electromagnetic force, 3) the weak nuclear force, and 4) gravity and of course the “Higgs Field”.
All fundamental particles are vibrations in on of those fields. Starting at the very very bottom, with the “String”. One of the very serious ragged edges in QED (Quantum Electro Dynamics) is the fact that there are about 12 orders of magnitude in size difference between a quantum particle such as a Gluon, and a “String”. While there is only 1 order of magnitude difference between a Gluon and Quark and 1 order of magnitude between a electron and a proton.
In other words, particles get smaller, 1 order of magnitude at a time, but only to a certain level as far as we know. Which is basically, because once they get smaller than a certain size, we are completely incapable of detecting them. And yes, that is most likely what “Dark Matter” actually is. Particles that are several orders of magnitude smaller than anything we can detect.
So the article you posted is a foray into the exotic math required to mathematically describe 8 dimensional space, and the physical characteristics as well as how those characteristics effect matter and the gauge fields.
The first prediction made by Emergence Theory has a very tantalizing possibility to have very recently observed.

That is what this is all about.
Emergence Theory might turn out to be another dead end, though I suspect it will not, at least not directly. Which variation of Emergence Theory will turn out to be right, if any of them are right? Its just to early to tell.
But, and this is very important, if any of them turn out to even be stepping stones to a new understanding of physics, the ramifications would be staggering. When I say staggering, I mean on the order of Hubble discovering that Nebula’s were not star clusters in the Universe, but actual Galaxies.

An odd characteristic of higher dimensional space is, that while they occupy the exact same outside dimensions, their internal dimensions increase substantially with each additional dimension up until the 9th dimension, where they get smaller on the inside than on the outside.
So if you have a space that is 4 feet by 4 feet by 4 feet, in 3 dimensional space the internal volume is 32 square feet. In 5 dimensional space, the internal volume becomes 128 feet. Therefore if you put a 1 foot in diameter sphere inside the 3 dimensional space there are only 32 physical places it can occupy, in 5 dimensional space there are now 128 physical spaces it can occupy.
So if you travel in a “fill in the blank” direction while traveling through 5 dimensional space, an object that in 3 dimensional space you had a 1 in 32 odds of hitting now becomes a 1 in 128 odds of hitting. You now suddenly can continue traveling in a perfectly straight line that in 3 dimensional space would have resulted in you hitting an object and not even come close to it.
And just like that, there is you explanation for Quantum Tunneling.
