I don’t want to hear any more crap about how Trump’s tariff game with China can’t work either

    ———————–

After a meeting on July 31, the Politburo, a top decision-making body comprising China’s 25 most senior leaders, issued a statement saying China’s economy maintained steady growth with good momentum in the first half of 2018. However, it now β€œfaces some new problems and challenges,” the body acknowledged.

More precisely, according to Xinhua, which carried the statement, the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth stayed within the range of 6.7 to 6.9% for 12 straight quarters. β€œBut a slight weakening was spotted in June in industrial output and investment, and worries have been on the rise that escalating trade tensions could bite into the economy in the future.”

    re: the shootings in Chicago

“It is the same people who are pulling the triggers in some of these communities. This isn’t a widespread issue among citizens of the city. This is a small subset of individuals who think they can play by their own rules because they continue to get a slap on the wrist when we arrest them,” Johnson said.

And some of those ‘individuals’ are cops and politicians.

Remember that the actual GDP figures from China need ‘adjusting’ to take way the skewing and ’empty infrastructure components by 6%. The CCP know that they are currently only just breaking even at just over 6% ‘growth’. Anything Trump initiates will push their economy below 6% which means in fact that they would be in negative growth territory.

That coupled to the push back against the Xi clique of 5 mandarins controlling the Xi sock puppet is an added worry. All is not stable in China and Trump knows it. Perhaps it’s Trump’s turn to deploy one of those
‘nudges’, so celebrated by Obama and Valerie Jarret!

Took the bus to collect my car when Toyota phoned me. The Inner-Loop bus went via the University of Auckland and Auckland Hospital and Medical School. Goy got on and sat behind me opening crying in bursts with bought of apologising between them. His mum had just passed away in hospital. I turned around to him and told him that he had nothing to apologise for as it was just fine to cry when you lose your mum. He then fell to bits totally. Poor guy. Got off a few stops later still sobbing.

That’s rough. I had an trans-Atlantic flight from FRA to Detroit back in 2005 and sat next to a soldier who was on leave from Iraq. He was tired but struck up a conversation with me. I eventually found out he was going home because his mother had suddenly died and spent the next few hours speaking with with him (he wept at times) and I spent most of the time listening and asking a pointed question once in awhile. I let him steer the conversation. He showed me the scar where an AK47 round grazed his neck that happened a few months prior, so I understood he was in an emotional abyss. Ater we landed, he told me he appreciated my time.

Always wondered what happened to him.

oh, expect it before that. They’ve levied a new property tax effective for the next 30 years (IOW, forever) in order to fund the bankrupt public pension funds. A 44% increase. Good luck trying to sell and get out, because nobody is going to buy into THAT.

So, if it were me – just sayin’ – and I wanted out of the place, what are my options? Burn the thing down and collect the insurance.

The. City can not sustain things the way they are. The City is trying to solve everything through new taxes that the
residents can’t afford. People are leaving in droves, and more and more they are left with public assistance people.
