This is a must read!

They hate you because you refuse to honor and respect them, to validate their cheesy status within the Beltway hierarchy, and to acknowledge them as your betters. Your pig-headed uppityness has disrupted their scam. The old paradigm, the model of go-along/get-along and feed the crackers out there in America articles about lib outrages to keep them writing checks, no longer cuts it. You’ve stripped them of their status by holding them accountable for their failure to fight for conservatism, and for us.

From January 1 to July 14, 2018, 107 people from 21 states (Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington) and the District of Colombia were reported to have measles.

    From https://www.cdc.gov/measles/cases-outbreaks.html

There is NO reason for this, none.

They don’t get it, they never will. Schlicter tried to warn them and all they hear is static. He was talking to them when he wrote:

“You need to understand something. Trump is not our last chance. Trump is your last chance.”

    This is a must read!

Bah, if I didn’t know better, I might be prone to suspect that Schlicter’s article were nothing more than a rewrite of conversations he overheard you and I having coldwarrior. He hit pretty much every point you and I have discussed nearly verbatim, and that’s right down to his “Conservative Inc” which is a phrase I could have sworn you coined.

My only real problem with what Schlicter wrote, is that he writes for Townhall, which is a notoriously “Conservative Inc.” publishing house. Salem Communications, (the parent company of Townhall) has been guilty of virtually everything in Schlicter’s article.

Their efforts against Trump ala “Townhall” and “HotAir” and their attacks against conservatives who are not members in good standing of “Conservative Inc.” have left a bad taste in my mouth regarding anything associated with Salem Communications.

Salem Communications, for those unaware, is a supposedly “Christian Media and Broadcasting Company”. Their version of Christianity bears a disturbing resemblance to middle America’s Marxist watered down feel good no judgement anything goes Christianity.

In other words, it is my personal opinion that Salem Communications is Christianities version of Ann Coulter. Which is to say, an organization run by very intelligent and shrewd individuals whose brand and message is a carefully crafted niche market product but not necessarily anything that the individuals producing the product actually believe.

They have identified a profitable niche market and are carefully tailoring their product for that market. And if from time to time they accidentally slip up and revel what they really think and feel, well, no big deal, because… Where else are their clientele going to go for the product they desire?

Oh, and I will add, sometimes I think Conservatives in America suffer from Stockholm Syndrome. I will use Little Green Footballs and HotAir as evidence. Both sites grew increasingly hostile to their conservative clientele and their clientele literally had to be kicked out before they would go somewhere more hospitable to their views and opinions.

Yes, I understand how difficult it is to abandon “Community” once you have made friends. But to be perfectly crystal clear here. I don’t give a damned how many friends I make or have in prison, I am not remaining in prison 1 day longer then I have to just because I have friends there.

    @ doriangrey:

It was the Townhall folks that purchased Twitchy.com from Michelle Malkin and then proceeded to pretty much destroy it by hiring Never Trumpers as the editors. They’ve wised up for the most part. The only two left are “Sarah D.” and “Greg P.” – and frankly I think they keep them around as click-bait, since we can’t resist the urge to comment on Sarah’s asshattery. I imagine she never reads the comments. God knows I wouldn’t.

UPI Headline regarding the Manafort trial says that prosecutors told the jury that Manafort lied on the witness stand:

    https://www.upi.com/Manafort-lied-on-witness-stand-prosecutors-argue/7201534349758/?rc_fifo=2

Now either this is extreme laziness on the part of the writers at UPI or they’re just lying for the hell of it for a headline. Manafort didn’t take the stand. If the prosecutors did indeed say this to the jury, I can’t wait for the defense rebuttal.

The article does go on to say that prosecutors focused on Manafort’s lies and apparently what was in his mind when he was committing the fraud. HUH? Only Manafort can say what was on Manafort’s mind.

The defense should have a field day, asking the jury to remember just how many people cut deals with Mueller’s office to testify, and that one of them – Gates – actually embezzled from the defendant. I’d also ask the jury why these charges weren’t brought at the time they were first investigated and ask themselves if they really want a government that punishes you later if you won’t LIE for them to implicate someone else (strenuous objection at that point, of course; but it’ll still be floating out there).

Jack Phillips, the Christian baker who prevailed at the U.S. Supreme Court after declining to create a custom wedding cake for a gay couple, filed a lawsuit in federal court late Tuesday suing the Colorado Civil Rights Commission.

Phillips and his attorneys at the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) say the Commission has revived its campaign against him following June’s high court decision, singling Masterpiece Cakeshop out for disparate treatment on the basis of their religious beliefs.

Actually, there is precedence for removing “risky” Senators from their Committee posts and revoking their clearance. Patrick “Leaky” Leahy was removed from the Senate Intelligence Committee after leaking the staff report for the press.

I could be wrong, but aren’t there are only certain Senate Committees that bestow security clearances on their members? I want to say Intelligence, Armed Services and Foreign Affairs? And Feinstein is on Intelligence (I’ll just leave that right there since some jokes write themselves).

Memorable moments in the life of a Possum. This is regarding security clearance.

Was asked to go fix an LSI-11 (PDP-11/03) at a very security conscious place. Fort Halstead. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Halstead#History_of_RARDE

A nice old gentleman in his quaint world war two building was having computer problems. This was in 1998. He analysed explosive residue,

Got it running for him and thought nothing more about it until later.

Following the December 1988 Lockerbie bombing, forensic experts from RARDE’s explosives laboratory examined material recovered from the crash scene, and subsequently testified as expert witnesses at the Pan Am Flight 103 bombing trial.

So, in my own humble way I helped in the investigation of the bombing of PANAM 101

When they did so, the Fakebook censors were quite active trying to make people stop using pseudonyms and use their real names. I had left there for the most part long before that due to their ridiculous sensitivity in banning people who might stray off the PC language reservation. What tore it for me was when they banned one of their most prolific posters for using the word “wetback”. That demonstrated to me that they were more worried about what the cocktail crowd might say about them than in actually engaging in debate.

Iraqi Refugee, Accused Leader In Al Qaeda/ISIS, Arrested In California For Murder For ISIS

A 45-year-old Iraqi refugee was arrested Wednesday in Northern California on a warrant alleging that he killed an Iraqi policeman while serving with the Islamic State organization.

Omar Abdulsattar Ameen and other members of ISIS killed the officer after the town of Rawah, Iraq, fell to the Islamic State in June 2014, according to court documents.

He was arrested by the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force at a Sacramento apartment building based on a warrant issued in May by an Iraqi federal court in Baghdad. U.S. officials plan to extradite him back to Iraq under a treaty with that nation, and he made his first appearance in federal court in Sacramento on Wednesday.

But remember…anyone who says that we need to vet “refugees” more carefully is Islamophobic

The Weekly Standard’s Ties to Fusion GPS

    https://amgreatness.com/2018/08/15/the-weekly-standards-ties-to-fusion-gps/

On July 24, 2016, just days before Strzok helped launch a counterintelligence probe into the Trump campaign, Kristol gave Strzok and the Obama Justice Department a big assist from the anti-Trump Right by posting a flawed and questionably-sourced article. “Putin’s Party” is compelling evidence that Kristol and the Standard were far from mere sideline observers as the Trump-Russia collusion scam took shape in the summer of 2016.

At the very least, the timing of the article suggests there was careful coordination between the central players—including the Hillary Clinton campaign—and Bill Kristol to derail Trump’s candidacy just weeks before the election. But the article’s content also serves to raise alarming questions about the claims by many Republicans that “conservatives” had no knowledge of or involvement with the Christopher Steele dossier.

Given the incredibly narrow and specific requirements laid down in the US Constitution for Treason, there is ZERO possibility that Bill or Hillary will ever be charged with Treason.

Despite his PhD Jerome Corsi is every bit as nutty as Alex Jones is. He is just another tin-foil hat conspiracy theory peddler. World Net Daily is an American version of the traditional British Red Top Tabloid. Raucous rampant unverified sensationalist speculation that rarely ever proves correct.

    @ Buckeye Abroad:

Corsi was one of the individuals who pushed the birther movement back in the day to make a name for himself, and even filed lawsuits to obtain documents, if memory serves. Here on the West Coast, his counterpart was a woman named Orly Taitz, who ran for California AG and lost in spectacular fashion in the primary.

It’s funny how Donald Trump gets the “birther” mantle hung all over him but in reality he was very very late to the party, you might say. Personally, I think he did it just to get under Obama’s thin skin and maybe for a little attention.

Of course, it was Obama himself that perpetuated all this – sealing every public record that he could get his hands on and proffering a rather suspicious looking short-form certificate. Oh, and the fact that Hawaii lost the original didn’t help either. It was more an exercise for debate than anything else.

Aretha Franklin, known for having one of the greatest voices in music history, and for hits like “Respect,” and “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” … died Thursday after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Aretha passed away in her Detroit home where she was under hospice care. She’d been in failing health for many months and she was down to 86 pounds. One source told us he was informed more than a week ago that Aretha could go at any time.

Rasmussen reporting today that Trump approval rating among Blacks is now at 36% – almost double what it was last year.

Amazing what a man working overtime to give Blacks a hand UP and not a hand OUT can accomplish in a year.

Of course, libs are now decrying Rasmussen as a right-wing organ of course. Because CNN has the more accurate polls, you see…

  66. 69 | August 16, 2018 10:16 am

I sincerely doubt that the media decrying the yanking of Brennan’s security clearance as a violation of his 1st Amendment rights (no…) and political retriburion (no…) will be moving THIS story to the top of the stack:

    https://www.weaselzippers.us/394086-pentagon-analyst-had-security-clearance-stripped-by-obama-admin-after-he-questioned-contracts-with-man-fbi-had-spying-on-trump-campaign/

    From the article:

A Trump-supporting Pentagon analyst was stripped of his security clearance by Obama-appointed officials after he complained of questionable government contracts to Stefan Halper, the FBI informant who spied on the Trump presidential campaign.

Adam Lovinger, a 12-year strategist in the Pentagon’s Office of Net Assessment, complained to his bosses about Halper contracts in the fall of 2016, his attorney, Sean M. Bigley, told The Washington Times.

On May 1, 2017, his superiors yanked his security clearance and relegated him to clerical chores.

Mr. Bigley filed a complaint July 18 with the Pentagon’s senior ethics official, charging that Mr. Lovinger’s superiors misused the security clearance process to punish him. He said his client complained about excessive “sweetheart” deals for Mr. Halper and for a “best friend” of Chelsea Clinton.

Chelsea Clinton, huh? Hmmm….the thot plickens….

But it’s just possible that the FBI initiated the Russian election-interference investigation in good faith, and that the investigation went nowhere because the evidence never appeared — and because most investigations pursue empty leads on a routine basis.

‘in good faith’ means there was a predicate for a crime. There was none. There were no leads, empty or otherwise. THERE WAS NO PREDICATE, BEN.

Our family farms are disappearing. There really isn’t much to offer them here. I don’t know about the Aussies, but Russia has land. I saw a piece the other day that they’ve offered about 3 million hectares to China (for soybeans). China may or may not accept, the land isn’t all THAT productive. But given that only 10% of China’s landmass is arable, it may be a helluva lot better than nothing.

Somebody on Instapundit’s open thread last nite posted a photo of blacks holding up signs for expropriation of white-owned land w/no compensation and a quote that amounted to “Africa for Africans, even if it means we go back to the stone age”.

That’s exactly what they’re going to get and we have to keep that in mind when they all start trying to get the hell out to anyplace that has indoor plumbing and antibiotics. I’m with you. Fuck ’em. A couple days ago I posted a piece by Joe Sobran saying that Western civilization, thru exploration, science and conquest has provoked a profound envy that cripples. It doesn’t change the fact that is has been WESTERN civilization – not African bushmen – that has advanced the lot of mankind and NOTHING ELSE. If the rest of the world wants to live as ‘virtuous primitives’ to prove a point, prove away. I just ordered an upgraded Kindle and am finishing my Java development platform. When I’m finished doing the financials, I’m driving to the grocery store to get laundry detergent that doesn’t require I clean clothes by beating them on a rock next to a stream polluted with human waste. Of course, that analogy assumes we all wear clothes like the ones in the picture I referenced, which were mostly COTTON t-shirts, printed with ENGLISH-LANGUAGE slogans, and manufactured on industrial machines invented by western technology.

I’d remind them to turn out the lights, but I don’t think it will be an issue.

St. Louis University, a private four-year university in Missouri, unveiled a plan to install 2,300 intelligent assistant-enabled Echo Dots in residence halls and student apartments before classes begin later this month. The Alexa-enabled Echo Dots will be programmed to answer over 100 specific questions about the campus and student activities, such as the hours for the library or a list of upcoming public lectures.

The program, the first of its kind in the nation because it will include every residence on the school’s campus, is managed by Amazon’s Alexa for Business and supported by Amazon Web Services (AWS), which means students don’t have to know how to set up Alexa or the Echo Dot. Instead the devices will be operated by a central system not tied to any student’s individual account and won’t retain personal information
. Additionally, the university says the Echo Dots are operated at no cost to students.

She also challenged the significance and framing of the audio:

“Another one of Omarosa’s ‘bombshell’ tapes is a fraud. The discussions about a position with the campaign took place in numerous phone calls over the course of several weeks.

Clinton’s staff shipped her off to Commerce. They hated her over there, too.

BTW, she has always exaggerated her job in the Clinton White House, saying at various times she was Al Gore’s “media and event planner” or his “communications liaison” – in actuality, she was in charge of answering the invitations that came in. Period. Nothing else. And she couldn’t even do that without pissing people off.

Western Australia has about the size of Texas almost totally under developed in the fertile bottom left hand side of Australia. There are a lot of coastal vineyards being planted but the whole SW is virtually a blank sheet with land going for $100 an acre. Water is always a problem in Oz but there is apparently the SW edge of the Great Artesian Basin that touches the Eastern edge of the region. The Basin is one of the world’s great fresh water catchments of historical water. Properly managed and not over exploited as the Saudis have with the historical cisterns in Arabia, the Great Artesian Basin can provide a reliable water supply to the SW of Western Australia.

  90. 94 | August 16, 2018 5:59 pm

    @ Aussie Infidel:

In the case of Omarosa, she was a candidate on The Apprentice – where she was untrustworthy and a liar. But she was good for ratings as we all tuned in waiting for the day the Donald said “Omarosa, you’re FIRED.” He brought her back for the Celebrity version, where Piers Morgan pretty much called her out every chance he got (Morgan won that season).

Believe me, many people wondered why the hell he gave her a job, but I chalk it up to loyalty – she appeared to be an ardent supporter during the campaign, so Trump gave her something innocuous to do in the White House. I’m sure she expected a position of “high importance” but didn’t get one. There are stories of her barging into the Oval Office like she was inner circle or cabinet, and being a bully to other staff. I believe it was Kelly who finally told Trump she had to go. It was only AFTER she was fired and she saw the opportunity to get herself some more attention that we started hearing about how evil he was.

If anyone in my office ever used the N word and meant it, I’d be in H.R. the next day saying “either they go or I go.” Now, of course, she’s claiming she was “compiling the evidence” for her book. I call BS.

This woman gives new meaning to the term ‘mentally deficient’

Warren’s “Accountable Capitalism Act” would require that corporations that earn more than $1 billion in revenue a year (note “revenue,” not “profits”) would need a federal “charter” in order to operate. This charter would obligate these companies to consider all “stakeholders,” not just shareholders, when making decisions. The bill would also require these corporations to permit employees to elect 40 percent of the company’s board of directors; a super majority of 75 percent of directors and shareholders would have to approve political donations. (Gee, I wonder if somebody will propose something similar for unions?) Shareholders would be permitted to sue the company if they felt its actions were driven purely by profit and did not reflect the desires of its many “stakeholders.”

–By removing the zeros, Maduro is looking to solve what economists call hyperinflation’s “wheelbarrow problem” — the point when the currency has become so worthless that a wheelbarrow of cash is necessary to make purchases.–

how does one buy a wheelbarrow to carry the currency?

–Troubled currencies are usually stabilized with a pledge from the government that they may be exchanged for a stronger one, like dollars or euros. Maduro, by contrast, has said the new bolivar will be backed by the petro, a cryptocurrency his government rolled out in February.

And the petro itself, he said, is backed by oil reserves — a claim economists find troubling, given that much of the country’s oil production is earmarked to pay off debt to China and Russia.

“You’re pegging a currency to a toxic asset which no one wants,” said Daniel Lansberg-Rodríguez, a political columnist for the Venezuelan newspaper El Nacional who teaches at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.–

–Hanke, the Johns Hopkins economist, recalls a similar situation in Yugoslavia, which he advised until 1991. Though Hanke objected to its currency changes, the country pushed ahead in 1990, removing four zeros from its bills. Its succeeding government removed another zero in 1992. In October 1993 it removed six zeros, in December nine more, and then at the start of 1994 another seven.

With hyperinflation running at 313 million percent per month, the mint couldn’t keep up.

And that country, Hanke noted, had a world-class mint. Maduro has no working mint, and must import bank notes.

“It’s an impossible situation,” said Hanke.–

Oh, and the fact that Hawaii lost the original didn’t help either. It was more an exercise for debate than anything else.”

And even today no one knows his grades or what subjects he took. Heh.

I think the lock on his records were more to do with the named father on the birth cert and the fact that he most likely received funds as a “foreign student.” I really don’t blame him, or even Poka-hauntis, for lying on their applications– stupid institutional rules that reward fraudulent behavior tend to get such results.

I’m going to go with Occams Razor here, and say it was far more innocuous, it was to hide the fact that he was a C- student, who failed his law license exam like 5 times, and finally had his law license revoked because he cheated on the exam to pass it.

(oh, and yes, until he had it sealed in 2007, there used to be a link to the Illinois Bar that said he was forced to surrender his license and it implied that it was because they discovered he cheated on his exam. The same link had Micheal losing her license as well and the suggested reason was for insurance fraud).

Mooch holding a 300k year job as diversity director– yeah, that was graft all the way and her I read some of her thesis– high school sophmores have better writing skills.
