Atlanta Fed lowers U.S. second quarter GDP view to 4.5 percent

Do note how those little shits worded that headline.

Anyway, calling all NeverTrumpers!!! How is he going to wreck the economy again? Please, do explain.

    from downstairs

I’m confused. Yesterday the Atlanta Fed came out w/2Q predictions of over 4% GDP, now 1St Q numbers are final and it’s TWO PERCENT. Maria has Greenspan on and altho I can’t understand everything he’s saying (weak voice) he seems to be predicting around 1% in 2019-20 and it has something to do w/demographics.

I just found out about this and wanted to be sure to pass it on. It may not apply to you based on your circumstances, but if it does, it’s free money.

ever heard about ‘restricted application’ social security benefits? Me neither. Here’s a write-up on the rules

    https://www.thebalance.com/social-security-rules-for-restricted-applications-2388915

I didn’t know, but I became eligible in April and for us, it’s over $1k a month. So I thought I’d share

Just purchased another house. for my daughter to come home to from overseas where she’s been working for the past 2 years. Had to empty ALL accounts even down to $32 bucks here and $46 bucks there in sundry accounts to pay off credit card to zero. Have to raise a mortgage and pull out $600k from an investment account tomorrow. It’s all come down to hours to get everything in the right account at the right time. Haven’t sailed this close to the wind for 25 years and it’s a bit of a thrill. Talked to the bank yesterday and raised a part mortgage and part low interest account to act as a buffer for the next 6 months until there daughter can sell her overseas property and repatriate the cash! No problems for the bank as there are two high value zero mortgage properties in the mix as well as 80% equity in this new property.

That’s what you do for family I guess. We’ll rent it out and get some income for the next 6 months whilst servicing the mortgage easily. Still going and borrowing money is a bit of a thrill after all this time!

    HEH!

    🙂

You must still comply with the law even if it is impossible to do so. (If you were wondering how they could try to incarcerate all of us, here’s your first clue)

Gun manufacturers must do their best to comply with a California law requiring new models of semiautomatic handguns to imprint their bullets with identifying micro stamps so police can trace them, the state Supreme Court ruled Thursday, rejecting the companies’ arguments that the law should be overturned because compliance is technologically impossible.

    These people are certifiable:

Journalists Spread Conspiracy Theory That DHS Document Contains Secret Nazi Code

A number of liberal Twitter users and journalists spread a conspiracy theory Thursday insisting a Department of Homeland Security document contained a secret Nazi code.

In February, DHS put out a press release entitled “We Must Secure The Border And Build The Wall To Make America Safe Again,” a fact-sheet making the case for President Donald Trump’s proposed border wall. “When it comes to stopping drugs and illegal aliens across our borders, border walls have proven to be extremely effective,” it argued.

The press release went largely unnoticed until months later, when a tweet accusing the document of being a dog whistle for Nazis garnered nearly 7,000 retweets. The viral claim suggested the headline was a reference to “Fourteen Words,” common white supremacist credos. The most widely known variation states, “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children.”

“This is an actual story on an official government website with a 14-word headline starting with ‘we must secure,'” Twitter user Lauie Voss noted. “This is not an accident. There are actual Nazis-who-call-themselves-Nazis at DHS.”
