When George Bush nominated Samuel Alito to replace Sandra Day O’Connor the Supreme Court in 2005, there was a real excitment at my law office. Not so much because Alito was an originalist; that certainly wouldn’t have made my liberal co-workers excited, but because one of our partners, “John” (not his real name) had clerked for Alito at the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. He had nothing but wonderful, wonderful things to say about him. He was a man he really admired, for his opinions, his meticulous judicial reasoning, and decency in dealing with everyone. Sure politically they were on opposite sides, but he said President Bush could have selected no one better.  A fair, studied jurist to whom the facts and law were sacred.

I got into the office early one morning – early even for me. Summary Judgment motions will do that – paper and labor intensive. Best to get the tough stuff done early. I was rather surprised when John walked through the lobby doors with me. When I asked the reason for his early arrival, he explained that he would be getting a call from the FBI as part of Judge Alito’s background investigation and he thought best to take it at the office, away from anticipated interruption from home – wife, kids, dog – and before the day’s work needed to be started. We chatted, he listened for his phone and sprinted away when it rang. An hour and a half later, he emerged from his office. It was a LONG interview.

When the televised hearings began on C-Span, we drifted in and out of the conference room where John has set up the TV and a satellite office.  As they proceeded he became indignant, and completely disgusted by the questioning by the Democrat Senators, especially Ted Kennedy, the Snake of Chappaquiddick, who attempted to paint Alito as a racist and bigot because of his association with the Concerned Alumni of Princeton.  Was Alito aware that a member of that group had authored a rather dreadful screed on women, blacks and latino?  Kennedy was especially obnoxious, going back over and over again how he wasn’t satisfied that Alito wasn’t some sort of racist, thinking blacks, women and latinos needed to “know their place” as stated by the author of the article. He was assisted in these smarmy endeavors by Chuck Schumer, who was a walking turd even then.

You might remember Mrs. Alito being in tears during these hearings. Well, so was John. A lifelong Democrat and liberal, he could not believe the brush they were painting Alito with. “There isn’t a bigoted bone in his body!” he told me “he’s the most decent man I’ve ever met! This is despicable!” I just looked at him and said “it’s what they do, John, it’s what they do. Alito’s a bigot. Thomas harassed women. Rehnquist wants to bring back Plessy.” John has since left the firm, but the last time I saw him he was still bitter over Alito’s treatment at the hands of the Democrats.

And now the same Democrats are turning on another good man – Brett Kavanaugh.  John Scalia once described to me the process of becoming a Supreme Court judge as an investigative endoscopy.  Sure, they vet and investigate when you get elevated to the Court of Appeals, but that is junior varsity compared to the character autopsy performed on your life when you are nominated to the pinnacle of the legal profession.  If the FBI isn’t interrogating everyone that has knowledge about you since you emerged from the birth canal, the vetting team from the White House is subjecting you to intense examination – is there anything we need to know about your background.  Don’t hold back, we need to know everything. They even go back to your elementary school days and find out if you were a bully.

So here it is.  If you believe that Brett Kavanaugh is really the sexual predator and monster the Democrats and their willing media cohorts want you to accept that he is, you have to somehow manage to convince yourselves that Kavanaugh agreed to a Supreme Court nomination knowing that in his randy high school past there is a girl named Christine that he and Mark Judge assaulted at a party; that there were chronic incidents of being blind drunk at Yale parties and groping every woman in sight and exposing himself like a common street flasher, and worst of all, multiple parties where he engineered the disabling of women in order to facilitate their gang rape.  Not once, mind you, but almost a dozen times.  And you have to believe that Kavanaugh was secure in the belief NONE of this is going to be revealed in the most intense background check and vetting process there is.  That in interviews with his secondary and higher education contemporaries, no one was going to tell the truth.

Even if you accept that okay, maybe he really didn’t do the more salacious acts attributed to him by Debbie Ramirez and Julie Swetnick, and there’s nothing to corroborate their tall tales that he did, there’s still that incident with Christine at the party.  After all, he COULD have done it.  Except he knows precisely what happened to Clarence Thomas in 1991.  He knows what happened to Sam Alito in 2005.  He knows that Democrats are going to be actively looking for someone, something – anything –  to blacken his good name and record – heck, they’ve already telegraphed their hostility to his nomination in every way possible.  So tell me – how could he possibly assume, with any assurance, that Christine would not step forward and tell the Committee about the incident, and provide names, a date and a place where it happened.  He could not have anticipated or relied on the possibility that she would not remember the specifics or counted on no one at the gathering supporting her story when asked.  After all, she had run out on her best friend.  If Christine didn’t remember, certainly Leland would.  If he had really done this horrible thing, he would have been sweating bullets that at the very least, one of them would turn this information over to the Committee and they in turn would have been able to provide verification for every aspect of it.

And you would also need to accept the premise that Kavanaugh is such a narcissic, ambitious “privileged” man that was so obsessed with being on the Supreme Court and overturning Roe that he wasn’t even remotely concerned for the pain his wife and daughters, who he no doubt loves more than life,  would experience upon learning that he spent his youth being the worst type of predatory lecher.  Or given a whit that his colleagues on the Circuit Court, his neighbors and friends, would discover that he was not indeed the man they thought they knew.

As that distinguished jurist Judge Judy (and she really was when she was on the New York bench) often says – “if it doesn’t make sense, it isn’t true.”

No, there is only one genuine monster, one true evil-doer in this affair.  I can even picture her chatting with those two little girls as they seated themselves behind their father; she may even inquired about school, asking if they were excited to be there.  And they probably were; oh certainly the content of the proceedings were lost on them, and no doubt boring, but it was probably very thrilling for them to go home and see that they were on TV, and look – there’s their mom and their dad is famous.

And this sinister Senator, a grandmother herself,  looked at those little girls, smiling like a spider, knowing all along that sitting in her office was the instrument with which she was going to destroy their lives and unleash the Seventh Circle of Hell on the man they loved so dearly.

listening to Miss Lindsay saying he’s going to find out who on Feinstein’s staff recommended recommended Katz because recommending counsel to a constituent is a no-no.

he’s going to find out who doxxed everbody

he’s going to find out who leaked Ford’s letter

Whether or not Kavanaugh gets in, Graham is pointing out where we must go from here: This absolutely must be stopped. I’ve seen people say this is being exacerbated by social media but Bork, Thomas and Alito were long before that was part of our social fabric. There must be consequences, they must be swift, severe and SEEN. For justice to be done, it must be SEEN to be done.

As for Feinstein, this is just one more web that’s been spun in her lair. I’ve posted about it before, but in case you missed it, one of the men who conducted ‘extreme interrogation’ against jihadi prisoners wrote a book of the same name*. His team operated under classified Congressional committee oversight and Feinstein sat on the committee. EVERY TIME, stuff from those meetings was leaked to the press and Mitchell lays it on Feinstein’s staff. Personally, I suspect a guy named Dan Jones, but that’s a post for another day. Just remember the name, he’s out on his own now, and still an ‘active agent’

    *Enhanced Interrogation by James Mitchell

Good perspective and informative on stuff we may have forgotten.

If we were to follow this to the end we would go and purge anyone from public office and private management that had an association with a fraternity or a sorority. That would be the safest bet. The one best for the kids.

And anyone listed in the metoo movement would need to sign up for re education and start from the bottom again. Booker. Ellison.

Actually lets do all the Dems first so we can see how it is done.

Good points Eagle. Dr Ford is either traumatized from a brutal experience in high school, or she is an accomplished liar. the other possibility is that both are true. She claims that she did not know that the committee offered to fly to Cslifornis to interview her. , What her lawyers didn’t tell her? It was all over TV.
She needed another front door for escape due to her trauma? It was put in years before she claimed to accommodate a tenant. She is afraid to fly? She was already in Delaware and she flys regularly including Hawaii and Tahiti.

Oh, and you got that who “pre-party” bit by Ford? That was to explain why all the guys named on July 1 weren’t there AND why the house might not match up to the named host. Ford is making it impossible for Kavanaugh to disprove her story.

The gist of her argument is that most of the changes in Ford’s stories, up to and including her testimony, were made to change manifestly disprovable things to impossible to prove/disprove

I’m not sure if this is really going to happen of if Cotton is just running his mouth

Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s office will be investigated to determine if it leaked a confidential letter from one of Brett Kavanaugh’s accusers, Sen. Tom Cotton said Sunday.

Cotton, an Arkansas Republican, also said lawyers recommended to Christine Blasley Ford by Democrats will face a Washington, D.C., Bar investigation for telling her that committee staffers would not travel to California to interview her about her alleged assault.

    @ eaglesoars:

This woman is a lawyer’s lawyer. That is a BRILLIANT analysis.

Does Ford even realize that this is NOT an FBI background check? This is an FBI INVESTIGATION. It means they are also going to investigate HER facts (such as they are). And Heaven help her when the FBI shows up at the doorsteps of those four witnesses of hers, especially the friend with the emails that doesn’t follow the timeline (an email account, I hear, that has been conveniently hacked).

I also would love to see the FBI show up at DiFi’s office asking to see her telephone records from July 1 through Labor Day. I agree with Rush. I don’t think this was an “over the transom” anonymous report letter. I think this was orchestrated from the beginning. I’ll also watch with interest as Ford dodges the FBI all week.

Although watching Avenutti being hysterical over the FBI not caring about his looney-tune client’s accusations is a little guilty pleasure as fun to watch. I mean, has ANY news outlet contacted him over this after he was dodging questions by Jake Tapper on Wednesday? He’s really pissed that his anticipated nightly segment on CNN smearing Kavanaugh won’t be a “thing.” Maybe because info showing his client is a certifiable psycho is coming out day after day, but corroborating witnesses are not. No network is going to treat this story as legitimate in the end.

The Intercept, the first outlet to publish, said they did not get it from Feinstein’s staff. Their reporting simply stated that Feinstein’s staff was frustrated that nothing was being done about it.

That may be true. It does not preclude that someone on Feinstein’s staff used a cut-out to get it to the Intercept. I’m not sure if Amy Eschoo had that letter or if the letter was written after Ford contacted Eschoo. That’s another possible source.

nobody in their right mind would have used phones or emails for this. You don’t even need 3 degrees of separation to muddy the waters for this.

I’m a Feinstein staffer, ‘Heather’. I know where the Intercept crew hangs out Friday nites or know someone who does. Say that someone is Doug. Damn it…. I keep telling you that Blasey-Ford is a CIA operative.

    https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2018/09/this-doesnt-look-good-business-was-listed-operating-out-of-christine-fords-home-would-explain-second-door/

Now it turns out that the second door may not have been put in
because of Dr. Ford’s alleged groping by Supreme Court nominee Judge
    Kavanaugh.

It may be more likely that the second door on the Ford house
was installed to house renters or as a means for customers to visit a
business set up in the house.

There may have been a business running out of the household with the second front door.

According to information found on the Internet, a business was
located at the exact same address as the Ford house (please note that
the address of this house was released on the Internet weeks ago). The
Couples Research Center was located at the exact same location as the
    Ford’s home.

Did you get that? A business was operating out of Blasey-Ford’s home prior to 2007. What kind of business you ask? (go on, ask).

    How coincidental.

    Because…

Dr. Sylvia Adkins Randall is a Psychologist – Group Psychotherapy based out of Palo Alto, California and her medical specialization is Psychologist – Group Psychotherapy. She practices in Palo Alto, California and has the professional credentials of PHD. The NPI Number for Dr. Sylvia Adkins Randall is 1447452370 and she holds a License No. PSY 3126 (California).

Her current practice location address is 3872 Duncan Pl, , Palo Alto, California and she can be reached out via phone at 650-494-6402

Dr Blasey-Ford, is not a a Licensed Physiologist.

(Also, I think Gateway mis-typed ‘Physiologist’ when they meant ‘psychologist’ maybe?) Somebody was living and operating a business from Ford’s address. Shouldn’t there be a business license for that somewhere? We work out of our house and Alexandria requires we have a business license.

And what is a grant deed transfer all about?

This is probably going to be the most boring post I ever authored. It is about memory, distant memories and what is vivid and 100% accurate and what is not remembered.

Some time in late 1982 or early 1983 I was working for a company called Tycom. They manufactured computer systems and installed them in Trust House Forte hotels in the UK.

    (FBI can check that )

I lived in a suburb of London with my soon to be wife. FBI can check that.

Company car I had was a Ford Escort, fire engine red and it was fitted with a radio telephone ( no cell phones then ) and my call sign was RUST 089

In those days you used the radio to connect to a service and you told them the land line number you needed to speak to, or the call sign of another mobile on the network.

My partner and I took an occasional break from city life to spend time in the country at weekends. We booked a Saturday night stay in a bed and breakfast place. I can not remember where or when. It was some where along the M3 ( M3 is a motorway in England, kind of like a state highway or interstate )

    So, the point….

I cannot remember where we stayed but have some very true memories.

About two miles from our destination the water pump quit. It did not stop pumping it shattered. Small company, no AAA or rescue stuff but in rural England so some nice local towed us to the B and B

Luckily where we stayed was in a small village and there was a pub that served food.

Sunday morning the owners of the bed and breakfast knocked on our door and said “breakfast is ready”

I replied “Thank you but we do not want breakfast”

She said “Well we are now going to church! ” and also commented how my partner and I had different last names…. and I think fire and brimstone and hell was mentioned, but I cannot be sure.

And so, the rest of the story. Sunday, stuck in the middle of nowhere and car broke. Company response ( it was their car ) send a colleague of mine to tow us back.

Side note, at that time in the UK your job came with a car, free gas and could be used for personal millage.

To cut this long story short colleague arrived Sunday afternoon. We hooked up crippled car and I insisted my future wife rode with him. I felt it was safer….

So we got rolling, fastest way back was via the motorway/interstate but it is illegal to tow ONTO one. You can tow someone OFF one to the next exit.

Well off we went. Onto the motorway and in the left/slow lane. As I had no engine I had no brake assist, do not think car had power steering but you know what I am talking about, no engine and car is hard to handle.

In England we drive on wrong side of the road. Left is slow lane and we were doing about 50mph. Comfortable..

Then the crazy fucker started indicating right and accelerated!

Yep we are now in the middle lane and passing other cars!

And, not content with that he then indicated right and we entered the fast lane. Yep, 80MPH, 10MPH over the speed limit.

I truly think he forgot he was towing me behind him!

So, what was the point of this post? I can remember the traumatic and significant parts of this event but not other details.

It happened, It was traumatic, but I can testify under oath that it really happened and pass a polygraph.

But the when, where and who I cannot remember.

( OK a spoiler, I know my future wife was there )

Yep, I posted that as an exercise in memory. I know know the name of the driver that towed us back, Mark. I do not know how we paid for the bed and breakfast.

Do not know where it was but it was by a river.

As we had no car we spent all Sunday sitting on a riverbank watching bitds and animals.

I thing my point is that with the things I remember law enforcement could fill in the missing pieces

However she can just recall a few moments of it. No time, date, location or those present.

I can recall a traumatic weekend, car breakdown, hostile B and B woman, scary drive back being towed.

But I cant tell you when or where.

They reached a last minute deal. The Dairy farmers have made some concessions. This is another example of Quebec holding the rest of Canada hostage. Which is why we are ALL required to be bi-lingual to hold any jobs with money and power across the entire country. The Quebec dairy industry gets premium prices for their cheese and we buy none of it in our house.

The Independent dispute resolution clause remains which DC wanted to scrap. The rest I don’t know & don’t care. It’s a Liberal run country whose main import is unskilled muzzies.

Thank you my instructor that got me through my driving test 10 years earlier. Taught me to scan the mirrors every ten seconds.

He used to cover up mirror and say “what is behind you? ”

Open road, three lane highway and only me on it.

Saw a police car enter the ramp behind me, hell they were good at it, they stuck in my “blind spot”

Looked at the speedometer, I was doing 140 (Rover 2000 Grey and went like shit of a chrome shovel)

Let off the gas and pulled over. No dramatic lights from police car. I knew I was busted…

They wrote me a ticket for 102MPH, 32 MPH over the limit.

Lost my licence for 7 days and 100 pound fine.

Thank you officers! If you had told the truth in court I would have lost my license for three years, had a big fine and done jail time.

Frankly, Possum, I don’t think anything at all happened to her. I think they used that delay time to imprint a story for her and have her rehearse it, and that fell completely apart when Mitchell questioned her, because she asked questions Ford was incapable of answering because they weren’t part of the script.

Mitchell has released a memo to the Senate GOP detailing why she thinks Ford’s tale is full of holes:

Oh, now we have the “Yale Classmates” coming forward with stories of “Brett started a fight with my friend and my friend ended up in jail” and “I saw Brett throw a drink in a guy’s face!”

This is turning into the equivalent of those assholes who yell stupid shit during a televised golf tournament after a tee shot so that they can run home and hear themselves on the recording. “Hey did you see where CNN reported my story, MAN?”

First of all, if Brett started the fight, then why did the “friend” go to jail? Mutual combat means BOTH perps sleep it off in a cell.

Second, maybe things have changed, but in my day you got a drink thrown in your face when you were making some particularly vile and loathesome comments, usually about a woman who was present or even absent, or about women in general; i.e., the one with the bourbon dripping from their eyelids was the a**hole in that situation.

And here’s today’s Barbarian Box Office summary for Michael Moore’s documentary “Fahrenheit 11/9”

Total gross – $5,190,165 for two weeks at the box office.

$10 says it’s out of the theaters (except of course, in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco – and maybe Seattle) by this weekend.

I have a feeling SpongeMike Sweatpants was already spending the millions and millions he thought he was going to make. You would have thought that the failure of his Broadway Show would have taught him something. After the costs of production and theater’s percentage, I’m thinking Mikey is going to be in the hole for this. Of course, he will release it on Pay per View a week before the election. Yeah, good luck with that.

And if Mikey couldn’t make this fly, I’d say his career is over.

The Army adopted its battle rifle in 1963 and has spent 55 years looking for a replacement for the M-16 and its variants.

They might have found it in Martin Grier’s Colorado Springs garage. Grier, a self-described inventor who has worked at a local bed and breakfast, built the new “ribbon gun” with a hobbyist’s tools. It looks like a space-age toy drawn by a fifth-grader.

But goofy origins and cartoon-looks aside, this could be the gun of the future. The Army is studying Grier’s gun and has ordered a military-grade prototype.

I chickened out as the front wheels had no traction anymore and the whole front end was beginning to float.

Another time I was doing 100MPH in Porsche ally again in an Audi passing everyone in sight including Porsches. When I stopped at a coffee place to get caffeine I heard about the BLACK ICE! From then on I drove with everyone else at a survivable speed!

We want to believe abuse victims but memory is also selective and muddled. I have a friend who lives emotionally. All memories are other peoples memories cooked into their own. Just today one of my memories was repeated to me as that persons memory. slightly altered to fit their life. And the person believes it.

There is now a spectrum disorder that details this. This type of person has had some trauma in the past but focuses on current people as the cause. These can be highly functional people. Just they are glitching on emotional events.

I think I interpret this as the person asking for help and love and not knowing how.

I looked up – “of course, since it appears Avenutti didn’t vet her, I have a feeling that by this time next year he’ll have kissed his law license goodbye.”

I think they used that delay time to imprint a story for her and have her rehearse it, and that fell completely apart when Mitchell questioned her, because she asked questions Ford was incapable of answering because they weren’t part of the script.

I was clumsily trying to say I have a very vivid recollection of a certain weekend.

After 36 years as I recall the weekend I cannot remember where it was, and what my friend and I had for supper.

If someone told me today “well, you had a pork chop and your friend had the rainbow trout” I would then willingly fill in the hole I didn’t recall about that weekend.

More rambling…. but I like fish, I love fish! Seams plausible. However I hate fish with lots of little bones. ( got a fish bone stuck in my throat when I was a small child )

So if someone was to ” enhance ” my memory of the weekend and tell me “You both had the trout ” I would have to believe them. Trout is fish, I like fish. but my subconscious would be yelling something is not right.

And so looking at what has developed over the last couple of days about “coaching” but inconsistencies by Dr Ford when the questions go out side of the script I am even more convinced this is a set up and Dr Ford is a true victim, a pawn, she is being used in a most disgusting way.

This is why the word ‘surreal’ fits. There have always been terrible people in the world who would – and did – do anything for power. But they never reveled publicly in their violations of every societal norm. (In ancient Rome, yes, but another story.) The more vicious and despicable you are, the more obviously your behavior outrages the opposition, the more you are valued and the only consequence you anticipate is more power.

There is a serious downside that our side is not considering and really needs to think about. They DARE NOT LOSE. Because if they do, it may not JUST be Kavanaugh on the bench and some lost seats on the D side. They dare not trust to our past ‘well, glad we got THAT out of the way, let bygones be bygones’ attitude of the past.

Because those of us who are paying attention are more radicalized than ever. If they lose, we’re waiting. And that is going to make them desperate.

Yep. I see significant evidence of that, here, on other blogs and in real life. If the dems win this and shut down all of Trump’s nominees, it’s not going to be the election of 2020 the spineless saps on our side need to worry about — it will seriously be their very survival. The dems survival will be even less certain. People are seeing the Deep State coup taking place, they are taking notes and taking names. As someone said, “Trump isn’t the voters’ last chance, Trump is DC’s last chance”

Marty Armstrong believes this confirmation process and the degraded behavior of Democrat senators are a TIPPING POINT. His ‘Socrates’ computer program shows a lot of civil unrest coming up. That’s the Malcolm Gladwell use of the term ‘tipping point’ which refers to the ride of Paul Revere as he gathered up the most powerful patriots in each town to alert them about the British.

I noticed Christine Ford described Kavanaugh & Judge “pinballing” down the stairs on THE NIGHT. I had to stop and figure out what that meant. That’s how you describe Kennedy. With that one word I saw the teen aged Prep School party girl.

    Well. Damn.

Christine Blasey lived in Potomac, Maryland in 1985.

Christine was arrested in a traffic stop and ticketd on June 14, 1985 (Friday) in Catawba County North Carlina.

She was charged with a traffic misdemeanor – no big deal. It was disposed on Sept 11, 1985.

    But there’s more.

There were two other cases on June 17, 1985 (Monday). They were also in Catawba County on a different day and are under case type – CRIMINAL. This might be the same case, but two different records were given.

The interesting thing about these two cases against Christine Blasey Ford is that they were last updated on July 7, 2018.

In her testimony Ford said she contacted the Washington Post tip line (and Democrat lawmakers) on July 6th.

That is why July 7th, 2018 is so coincidental.
