Okay I’m at a loss to understand this. But until we get an actual reason for it, I look to the mainstream media to somehow relate this to Kavanaugh.

no, he’s perfect where he is.

I’m glad there’s no problem, Trump has had 6 mos to line up her replacement.

So it appears Nikki wanted to take a break is all, and will leave at the end of the year. Can’t say I blame her with the U.N. having more than its pro rata share of d**kheads.

However, since nothing says that the Attorney General must be a licensed attorney or even hold a J.D., may I recommend we replace the tree-baking elf with HER?

Hillary: Accusations Against Bill Were Nothing Like Those Against Kavanaugh

Hillary Clinton is firmly rejecting the idea that accusations against her husband are anything like the sexual misconduct allegations against new Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh or President Donald Trump.

The former secretary of state, who is joining with her husband for a joint speaking tour where tickets are going for up to $700 each, referenced independent counsel Kenneth Starr’s investigation during the 1990s that led to impeachment.

She called it an ‘intense’ and ‘partisan probe’ that distinguished it from allegations against Trump and Kavanaugh, who sat as the newest Supreme Court justice Tuesday after weathering sexual assault allegations from high school and college.

Bill Clinton ‘really believes that Democrats have to be tougher and have to stand up to the bullying and the intimidation, so I think he’ll have things to say about his own experience and how it applies here,’ Clinton told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour.

my sister has evac’d to Alabama, my niece, who is an EMT, has evac’d 20 miles inland w/6 people and 8 dogs and is afraid they didn’t go far enough, her husband is on site at the EOC Panama City/Panama City Beach. My sister just bought her condo and was dumb enough to buy it on the beach. She knows better. One of my best friends (Thor’s mom) moved to Charlotte right before Florence and has moved in with one of her kids until the real estate dries out enough for her to buy a house. sheesh.

    https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2018/10/10/hurricane-michael-becomes-an-extremely-dangerous-category-4-storm/#more-155192

Unfortunately the predictions of continued strengthening have proved accurate. Hurricane Michael now holds sustained winds over 130 MPH with additional strengthening likely prior to landfall later today. This makes Michael a Category-4 hurricane; the strongest to hit the Florida panhandle in history. It looks like Panama City Beach is in the bulls-eye.

“Mine is a most peaceable disposition. My wishes are: a humble dwelling with a thatched roof, but a good bed, good food, milk and butter of the freshest, flowers at my window, and a few fine tall trees before my door; and if God wants to make my happiness complete, he will grant me the joy of seeing some six or seven of my enemies hanging from those trees. Before death I shall, moved in my heart, forgive them all the wrong they did to me in their lifetimes. One must, it is true, forgive one’s enemies—but not before they have been hanged.” Heinrich Heine

I’ve often pondered if the real reason Billy Boy ran for President was not just to get him into the White House, but to set Hildebeest up as a national figure so that SHE could eventually become President – that was the ultimate goal. Which was why she ran for the Senate immediately upon leaving the White House – she HAD to keep herself in the public eye. It was all about her from the beginning. I can’t see her gloming onto a guy from Arkansas and spending her life in what she no doubt deemed was a backwater state.

What she never ever came to grips with was that, essentially, the country as a whole really, REALLY didn’t like her.

Christopher Steele has opened his trap. He makes it sound like all this was simply personal dissatisfaction w/U.S. politics. Not. Buying. It.

‘In these strange and troubling times, it is hard to speak unpalatable truths to power, but I believe we all still have a duty to do so.

‘I salute those on your list, and otherwise, who have had the courage to speak out over the last year, often at great personal cost.

‘At a time when governance is so distorted and one-sided, as I believe it currently is in the United States, the media has a key role to play in holding it accountable.’

There should be a cushy spot in Florence for him, I would think

Up on the SCOTUS docket today is the latest installment in the “let these people IN” saga of immigration. Nielsen v. Preap is up for oral argument. The legal question is the wording of 8 USC 1226(c), which allows for ICE to arrest an inadmissable alien upon his release from incarceration for one or more serious criminal offenses. Bail hearings in such cases are not permitted.

This one stems from two aliens (the respondents) who were picked up several years after their release and were denied a bail hearing, which they contend they were entitled to, under 8 USC 1226(a), which entitles aliens to a bail hearing upon arrest and facing deportation. The Government’s position is that you were criminals, therefore no longer admissiable and not entitled to the bail hearing under 1226(a), but no bail under 1226(c).

This one involves a split in the circuits. The 9th sided with the respondents; in similar appeals, the 2nd (NY) 3rd (PA), 4th (VA) and 10th (CO) all sided with the Government and said the gap between release and pick up were irrelevant.

Significant in this is that at least two circuits considered liberal – the 2nd and 3rd – found for the DHS. Methinks the 9th is about to get another kick in their ass. Because, hee – 5 to 4.

I think they’ve accepted the property is probably gone if it gets hit dead-on with a cat 4. Which looks probable. The only one who hasn’t evac’d is my niece’s husband, but he’s a first responder holed up in the emergency ops center which is cat 5 proof.

so, thanks, but not to worry.

that seems so clear cut to me, I don’t know how it even got to the first court.

You’ve got criminal offenses going, you ain’t gettin’ bail so you can skip out. Again.

There are 2 countries in Europe that are sane, Poland and Hungary. And Hungary has NO time for Hillary

.@HillaryClinton is a failed politician whose losing campaign was also financed by @georgesoros . She represents Soros’s pro-immigration politics, and these are politics that were rejected at both the last Hungarian and American elections.

Hey a question for medical people here.

What could cause a rapid growth in head hair?

Also growth of hair in previously hairless regions.

    Knees, who has hairy knees!

Slight pain occasionally in right testicle?

    asking for a friend……

    Kippers at Breakfast

Scones (British scones not American so called scones) with lashings of strawberry jam and whipped cream and of course Tea for morning teatime.

Curry and a pint of bitter for lunch or perhaps fish and chips from a wrap of yesterday’s newspaper. for Lunch.

Pikelets and buttered tea for ‘tiffen’

Pot roast and veg all over cooked and ice-cream and jelly for Dinner.

Down at the beach so I’m smiling from ear to ear here!

The whole house is full with the aroma of freshly cooked bread. 8 grains and seeds and no proving and knocking bak. Bowls of bread doings set in the sun on the bricks out the back away from the breeze and in the sun with a tea towel over them. They rise and do all of the other stuff all by themselves. Makes four breadths. Spray water onto the top to make for a crunchy crust. Bake at varying secret temperatures and EATTTTTTTTT

This bread is sooo crunchy and yummy that you can just eat it alone as it’s delicious all on its own.

    Stopping is the hardest part.

    VERYYY Moreish!
