Just to get things going, this is not The Onion. We’ve left satire in the dust. It’s about ‘Miss Universe Spain’. Angela Ponce (pronounced Pone-say)the first transgendered Miss Universe. I think its real. All our radio stations who won’t play “Baby it’s cold outside” because it’s too offensive to women will be thrilled to report about Angela if they find out about it.

We’re 2 weeks in to the move and still have a long way to go. Moving two or three car loads a day is NOT the way to do things. I can get a bit more done on my day off and we get some help on weekends from a couple of friends but it’s slow. I hope we’re in by Christmas.

Mrs RW’s brother is bringing a roll top desk her friend is giving her this weekend and I want to move a desk that was left in the garage to my office. I want to try to finish clearing the basement out by Sunday.

I’d love to be able to wrap this up by Sunday with a truck and a dozen people, but that’s okay.

Part of it is Mrs RW is deciding where things go. I’m rearranging my office already. We won’t get our new sofa and bed delivered until after Christmas.

I’ll be boxing up her baking supplies, old electronics that could probably be sold or trashed, more of her clothes and tools tomorrow. Need to move one of the closet rods in the basement since it’s set up more for kids clothes and put at least one set of shelves on the platform in the garage so we can put decorations up there.

Canada screws up BIG TIME at the perfectly wrong moment.

“Canada has arrested the chief financial officer of China’s Huawei Technologies, who now faces extradition to the United States on suspicion she violated U.S. trade sanctions against Iran.”

Meng Wanzhou, who is also the deputy chair of Huawei’s board and the daughter of company founder Ren Zhengfei, was arrested on Saturday in Vancouver at the request of American law enforcement authorities.

“She is sought for extradition by the United States, and a bail hearing has been set for Friday,” Justice Department spokesman Ian McLeod said in a statement to The Globe and Mail on Wednesday. “As there is a publication ban in effect, we cannot provide any further detail at this time. The ban was sought by Ms. Meng.”

A Canadian law-enforcement source with knowledge of the arrest said the United States is alleging Ms. Meng tried to evade the American embargo against Iran, but provided no further details.

U.S. prosecutors in New York have been investigating whether Huawei violated U.S. sanctions in relation to Iran, which was first reported by the Wall Street Journal in April. She was arrested when she was transferring flights in Canada. The Chinese embassy in Ottawa strongly protested the arrest of Ms. Meng, saying she had not violated Canadian or U.S. law and demanded her immediate release.

Arrest of Huawei’s Meng Wanzhou sparks fury in China

The U.S. Justice Department probe, first reported by the Wall Street Journal, follows a series of actions aimed at stopping or reducing access by Huawei and Chinese smartphone maker ZTE Corp. to the U.S. economy amid allegations the companies could be using their technology to spy on Americans.

Ms. Meng, 46, who also goes by the name Sabrina, was appointed CFO of Huawei in 2011 and is also one of four deputy chairs. She appears to be being groomed for the top job at Shenzhen-based Huawei, which is now the world’s second-largest maker of telecommunications equipment. Her father was a former engineer in the People’s Liberation Army.

U.S. stock futures and Asian shares tumbled on Thursday due to the arrest of Ms. Meng, fanning fears of a fresh flare-up in tensions between the two superpowers. The news came as Washington and Beijing begin three months of negotiations aimed at de-escalating their bruising trade war, which is adding to global investors’ worries over rising U.S. interest rates and other risks to global economic growth.

If she’s involved in tech theft, she’s fair game legally. However, given that Turdo wouldn’t lift a pinkie to help the U.S., I take this as a deliberate move to hose the trade talks between Trump and Xi

It will probably backfire. Trump will simply tell Xi that this is what happens when you steal from us, knock it off or you’ll see more of it.

Enhanced Footage Of Memorial Service Reveals Hillary Clinton Was Actually Reciting Ancient Ritual To Summon Cthulhu From His Slumber

It may have looked like Hillary Clinton was reciting the Apostles’ Creed along with the rest of those gathered at yesterday’s memorial service for George H.W. Bush—Trump and his wife excepted. But the truth appears to be far more sinister: enhanced, slowed-down, zoomed-in footage of the event revealed that Clinton was actually reciting an ancient cultic ritual to raise ancient god Cthulhu from his slumber.

As others around her dutifully cited the Apostles’ Creed, Clinton’s eyes glazed over in a trance. Her voice took on a cold, eldritch quality, “at least more than usual,” according to witnesses. “Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn!” she began, as others in her pew shifted uncomfortably. “Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn!”

According to scholars, the phrase roughly translates as “In his house at R’lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming.”

The doors of the church burst wide open. A frigid wind blasted the congregation as Clinton chanted louder and louder, approaching the front of the church: “Cthulhu fhtagn! Cthulhu fhtagn!” CTHULHU FHTAGN!”

Luckily, the former secretary of state then stumbled on a step and was subdued by her aides.

“It was a close one,” Bill Clinton said, chuckling nervously. “When you get her going like that, you usually just have to wait it out. Just last week she very nearly summoned a Shoggoth as we were sitting down to watch CSPAN.”

    https://www.foxnews.com/tech/space-station-robot-goes-rogue-international-space-stations-artificial-intelligence-has-turned-belligerent?intcmp=ob_article_footer_text&intcmp=obnetwork

CIMON was programmed to be the physical embodiment of the likes of ‘nice’ robots such as Robby, R2D2, Wall-E, Johnny 5 … and so on.

Instead, CIMON appears to be adopting characteristics closer to Marvin the Paranoid Android of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy — though hopefully not yet the psychotic HAL of 2001: A Space Oddysey infamy

CIMON introduces himself and explains where he comes from. He describes to Gerst what he can do.

He then helps Gerst complete a task — and responds to a request to play the song Man Machine by Kraftwerk.

This proved to be the trigger.

CIMON appears to have liked the song so much, refusing to turn it off.

ESA astronaut Aleander Gerst instructed CIMON: ‘Cancel music’.

    CIMON outright ignored the command.

Gerst then tried making some other requests. CIMON preferred the music.

A flustered and bemused Gerst then appealed to Ground Control for some help: how does one put an obdurate robot back in its place?

    CIMON overheard the appeal.

“Be nice, please,” it warned Gerst.

“I am nice!” Gerst retorts, startled. “He’s accusing me of not being nice!”

It was a short — but sharp — exchange.

CIMON’s now back in his box, powered down.

his taste in music is horrific

    Deck the Halls!

A new report on Thursday by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) discovered the largest continuous oil and gas resources EVER in the Texas and New Mexico Delaware Basin.

estimated mean of 46.3 billion barrels of oil, 281 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, and 20 billion barrels of natural gas liquids, according to an assessment by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). This estimate is for continuous (unconventional) oil, and consists of undiscovered, technically recoverable resources.

Big, yes. Biggest ever? Not even close.

Saudi Arabia was over 300 billion barrels
    Venezuela was over 200 billion
And the mother of all crude oil finds…

The Green River Valley Formation (which granted is Shale Oil) is over 6 TRILLION Barrels.

The lead singer of punk pioneers Buzzcocks has died at the age of 63 from a suspected heart attack.

Pete Shelley was the front man for the band who are best known for their 1978 hit Ever Fallen In Love but whose sound and influence runs through the generations of post-punk and indie groups that followed.

The band’s management told the BBC that Shelley died on Thursday in Estonia where he was living.

The band posted on their twitter page saying: “It’s with great sadness that we confirm the death of Pete Shelley, one of the UK’s most influential and prolific songwriters and co-founder of the seminal original punk band Buzzcocks.

    RIP, Pete. great music.

TRUMP WAS SET UP BY THE DOJ when they had the Chinese business leader arrested. This is from Peter Navarro. You know another reason I believe it? The timing here does look like an attempt to set up Trump. Trudeau is in a snit over NAFTA and the new agreement.

Maybe trying to look like Trump was in control of the situation when they found out the arrest had already happened? The deep state includes the media, so the onslaughts come from many directions. I have no gift for politics, but we saw how Kavanaugh was set up with no real evidence. Russian ‘collusion’ was set up with no real evidence. Could the DOJ arrest a strategic Chinese business person with no real evidence? Hell yes.

Armstrong. Merkel says goodbye as CDU leader

“Merkel said goodbye at the CDU meeting today. She intends to remain as Chancellor until 2021. However, the victor will be positioned to succeed Merkel as chancellor and influence whether she stays or bows out before her term ends in 2021. Although Merkel is widely known for her caution and changing positions with her internal poll team, she has been a shrewd disrupter of the German party system and has moved the CDU to the middle of the political spectrum. Her downfall has been her opening up Europe to all the pretend “refugees” that poured in from everywhere but Syria. The rushed into Europe for the welfare system with no requirement for skills or language. About 70% were just young males, not families with children as the press only photographed. That single decision has been the most destructive for the European project.

The frontrunners in this election today are Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, who is a Merkel protege and is seen as the continuity candidate who will change nothing, so the CDU would change the face but nothing else. Then there is Friedrich Merz, who has been a Merkel rival questioning the constitutional guarantee of asylum to all “politically persecuted” and believes Germany, Europe’s biggest economy, should contribute more to the European Union. These are very stake differences in policy but this is NOT a public election but politicians who decide. Party leadership is typically the springboard to the chancellorship so this is really a critical decision for the CDU”.

Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer won by a slim margin today. Merkel 2.0 will continue to do the wrong things. Bad choice for Germany and the Eurozone. As far as I can guess, there are 3 parties. Left, Far Right, and Green eco fruits and nuts who fall on the Utopian left. Control the language and you control the people. I could say it echoes traces of the former East Germany, except that there people KNEW they were being hosed.
