Good morning. AOC wakes up to accusations of criminal campaign finance violation!

so…they will go after her as hard as they have gone after Trump, right?

No, there will be a lot of alibing for her, and of course it will be pointed out that she is a Latina.

    http://www.spaceweather.com/images2019/05mar19/magnetogram.jpg?PHPSESSID=diql97913b86labdbsh5rjlm56

This is a magnetogram (magnetic map) of the sun obtained on March 5th by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory. The sunspot is inset. Note how its magnetic field is almost orthogonal to other patches of magnetism elsewhere on the solar disk.

Sunspots are islands of magnetism floating on the surface of the sun. Like all magnets, they have two poles, plus (+) and minus (-). Usually these poles are aligned almost parallel to the sun’s equator. Today’s sunspot is almost perpendicular.

Could this be a sunspot from the next solar cycle? Right now, Solar Cycle 24 is decaying into a deep Solar Minimum. Solar Cycle 25 is still in the offing. According to Hale’s Law, sunspot magnetic fields reverse polarity between solar cycles. If this sunspot continues to grow–and if its magnetic axis tilts a bit to the right–Hale’s Law would tag it as a member of Solar Cycle 25.

Solar cycles always mix together at their boundaries. Indeed, ephemeral sunspots possibly belonging to Solar Cycle 25 have already been reported on Dec. 20, 2016; April 8, 2018; and Nov. 17, 2018. Perhaps, when the day is done, we might add March 5, 2019, to the list. Stay tuned.

    Spotless Days
    Current Stretch: 33 days

    2018 total: 221 days (61%)

Chris Plante has an interesting idea.

They never thought they’d win. They never thought they’d get the scrutiny. Justice Democrats, Chakrabarti’s org, supported over 70 candidates and AOC is the only winner.

This is a pic of Chakrabarti’s ‘Brand New Congress LLC’ headquarters in Knoxville. The address is also registered as the HQ of several Dem campaigns.

Does this look like an empty storefront to you? Maybe a sign in the window, but I don’t know when the pic was taken

I’m going to post this with a caveat that I don’t know who this man is or the veracity of his info. Sketchy evidence for sketchy new Representatives. He says they supported (Justice Democracy) supported 79 candidates and 4 won according to Bernstein. Talib, Ilhan
Omar, AOC, and a black woman whose name I forget. All radical leftists with identity chips on their shoulders. According to the spokesman, the organization received thousands of applications to run for Congress, and they hand picked 79.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsObPEj9ZAY

If this is even partly true there is very big money behind these shrews. They all came from nowhere, and two of them were immediately ushered on to the important Foreign Affairs and Banking Comms. Looks like an INSIDE job to me. They are all making threats to move the Dems even further left. This Operation reeks a hundred times more than the Kavanaugh hitjob.

Watch for ever growing calls for impeachment based on manufactured evidence and Agitprop. imho.

Luke Thompson has been doing a great job of reporting on this. He’s the one who reported on AOC’s boyfriend having an congressional email acct, etc. (altho it looks like it’s gone now). He’s also exposing Chakrabarti and the J.Ds.

This is going to be the fun part: The Justice Democrats want to use the currently existing Dem Party to convert it to a socialist platform.

They have competition. Remember Organizing for America? Obama?

These groups are competing for the same $$ and I don’t think it’s in their DNA to merge and make kissee-face.

This was Obama yesterday: Obama: There’s hope ‘if we can train a million Baracks and Michelles’

I’ve been using one about once a week since Christmas. So far, I like it. The only downside I’ve seen is that it’s hard to figure out how long it actually takes to cook things. A recipe will say to cook it on high pressure for, say, 5 minutes, but it may take 10 minutes for it to come up to pressure first.

    Time to turn in.

    Iditarod update:

Blair is resting for about another 4 hrs probably, she’s about 200 miles in. I think maybe 6-7 other mushers have had to drop a dog for various reasons, but there are no reports of any injured dogs, no major mishaps.

But everybody’s nightmare did happen. A musher lost his dogs. A carabiner connecting some lines snapped and the dogs kept going. For miles.

Linwood Fiedler was one lucky musher. Mats Petersson wasn’t far behind him and rescued them all.

Note to all witnesses that Jerry Nadler has requested to appear before Congress:

Politely decline, advising Congressman Nadler that the Committee has no Constitutional authority over them to appear as witnesses when the Committee has not put forth a specific oversight investigation for which their testimony is required. Nor is the Committee entitled to their personal papers under the same theory.

As far as the attorneys that were subpoenaed, advise Nadler that under the Rules of Professional Responsibility and Canon of Ethics of the American Bar Association, as well as the established Attorney-Client Privilege and Attorney-Work Product doctrines, they can go pound sand.

Mark Levin put it beautifully – this is nothing more than opposition research for the 2020 election and should be treated as such.

Or as Joe DiGenova put it – it’s a perjury trap

  35. 38 | March 6, 2019 11:09 am

    @ eaglesoars:

That it is. And they should without exception politely decline. Let Nadler go to court and attempt to enforce and explain to the Courts why they are entitled to question them. This is persecution of a citizen on the basis of nothing. His business practices are the jurisdiction of the State of New York; his taxes are for review by the IRS and I imagine he has been audited a great deal – probably every damn year.

I’m not as versed in what precisely the Oversight Committee’s actual mission is – but they certainly don’t have the right to go on a fishing expedition.

I predict this is going to backfire big time on them. Trump may have an element of showboater to him, heck, to my son and his friends, that’s a huge part of his appeal – but he’s also not stupid. He’s had an army of lawyers and accountants looking after his interests for decades; I imagine he used Michael Cohen only for the NDA’s and other “distasteful” (but not illegal) tasks. They are going to find NOTHING.

    @ The Barbarian:

That’s also a misleading statement. It implies that 70% of the guns used to commit crimes in Mexico came from the US, which is not true.

70% of the guns traced by ATF in Mexico came from the US. But they only trace a small percentage of them.

This is the same misleading crap Hillary was pushing a few years back in order to justify new gun restrictions in the US.

  40. 43 | March 6, 2019 3:46 pm

    @ lobo91:

I remember why Fast and Furious came about. Oblahblah and Meerkat were all about how 90% of the guns in Mexico, etc., came from the US and that’s why we needed stricture gun control laws. Of course when the REAL fact check people went to work they said “no, that isn’t true.”

So Bummer and the ‘Stache came up with this idea to allow hundreds of guns to walk into Mexico with a wink wink and a nudge nudge so that when the ATF went back later, the figures – mirabile dictu! – would back them up and they could get those gun control laws they wanted.

Except before this could come about, these lying dirtbags got over 300 Mexican nationals and a border patrol officer killed from their gun running. Which they then pretended never happened, and the slimeball media covered it up.

Just stopped in to point out that Canada is sort of on fire. A series of events took place which caused the people of Canada to notice their Prime Minister is sleazy and stupid. More Canadians have even seen that he is crazy as well. The obvious fact that a corrupt set of politicians in Quebec get rich off cozy political donations from Quebec Corporations. The rest is too complicated to explain. Just jump to conclusions that have always been there to see. Deep State North. Bananada.

We’re mostly settled in the new house. Just a few little things to move, then we can finish getting the old place ready to sell.

Reading the police reports from a much smaller city can be funny, especially compared to what I’m used to. Wichita might report a domestic disturbance. Here? A woman reported arguing with her husband over their kids. Neither wanted to leave. The husband agreed to sleep in the guest room. Or a man reported receiving a phone call from someone trying to scam him. He didn’t fall for the scam.

It’s not just that the number of crimes are much lower, it’s that the type are completely different. I counted 4 cases over the last month which involved violence against someone else, and 1 person passed away from a self inflicted gunshot wound. Not sure if it was an accident. Such a relief from a neighborhood that wasn’t the best when I moved there 20 years ago and was getting worse.

China’s superrich are losing faith in the country’s economy, with some even worried it will turn into the next Venezuela.

    https://pjmedia.com/instapundit/323655/

The 21st Century Belongs to China? Don’t Buy It

    https://amgreatness.com/2019/03/05/the-21st-century-belongs-to-china-dont-buy-it/

Here is, in essence, what the Chinese Communist Party tells the masses: You may be under constant state surveillance, unable to speak freely, and prevented from forming political associations. But remember that to be Chinese is to be part of the greatest phenomenon in human history, and China’s growing economic and military greatness is your greatness.

I’ve come to the conclusion that just as some people aren’t meant to be sober, some countries don’t ‘do’ freedom/democracy. China is one of those countries. It has never had any form of gov’t that isn’t totalitarian because its culture doesn’t support anything else. That they’ve figured out economic prosperity is a social good is flat out remarkable and we should probably stop counting our hatched chickens right about there.

And focus on the fact that their scope for casting their totalitarian net is a bit too large.

  53. 56 | March 7, 2019 9:55 am

So apparently Michael Cohen, official Congressional perjurer, has given the committee, in closed-door session, copies of papers from his original testimony where he, well, LIED. He shows them the editing marks. See – this is where they changed it and where they told me to lie.

Dude, I could accept this BS if you were a civilian. But you’re an effing LAWYER. You know this is perjury. If you’re testifying to Congress, you offer that document simultaneously, saying – “here is the truth, and here are the notes on how they wanted me to alter it.”

Also, there are rules of evidence. If you offer a document a proof of fact, then it must be AUTHENTICATED. You cannot authenticate your own document if it contains the input of others. If there are edits on this document, you must have sworn testimony or an affidavit under oath from the individual that edited it that they indeed did so. You could just as easily (and this scenario is far more likely) gone back and done this yourself or dictated the edits to another so that it would not be in your handwriting.

One of my very favorite reality show franchises are the “Million Dollar Listing” shows in L.A. and N.Y., just for the real estate porn. (They tried a franchise in S.F. but it lasted ONE season since all the houses were BORRRRRING.)

One thing that struck me as interesting was how many of the high-end ($12 million and up) properties were being purchased by representatives of Chinese buyers. I was like “where are the effing CHINESE getting all this money???”

I love those shows. House porn. Yenta can tell you all about Vancouver. BUT. The housing market in Vancouver is now taking a dive because the gov’t has told them to unload. And boy, are they ever. This is how you know they don’t understand markets/supply/demand. They overloaded the market and depressed the prices and screwed themselves. I mean, I thought these people were supposed to be smart.

China’s GDP is running hot at something like 6.6%. People with any contacts at all were making money hand over fist. And because the gov’t co-owns just about everything, it’s very happy to help people make money. What they didn’t do was pay attention to their debt. They bet they could out-race it and they bet wrong.

gotta get back to the Iditarod, my musher is on a mandatory 24-hr rest layover and we’re hoping to get some info on the dogs. later.

God knows with that one. Trope is essentially a literary device of the use of a word as a metaphor. What racist “metaphor” was she even referring to?

I’m a sponsor. At a certain level, you get to choose your dog. The dog I asked for originally is a total clown but was already taken, so Blair asked me if I would like Talese, as no one had asked for him yet. So Talese it is. I’ve been a sponsor for over a year I think, long before any of this. Blair hadn’t even run the Yukon, which is a qualifying race. I knew of Blair because I’d read some of her work and stumbled across her on twitter. But never in my wildest dreams…………

Maybe a worm has turned, but I doubt it. Diane Feinstein is talking about the OBVIOUS reasons to cut down on the massive numbers of illegal aliens.
I don’t know if this twitter video is current at all. She looks a lot younger in the vid.. ZH says twitter keeps taking it down.

Indeed, I could see you merrily mushing your life away. Sometime you may be able to visit during the race. You’d be pretty happy hanging out with Talese and the owners in Wisconsin too.

That’s A Wrap, Even Omar Votes For Resolution, Has A Good Laugh

Earlier today, tweeter Pradeep Shanker predicted that Rep. Ilhan Omar would vote in favor of House Democrats’ resolution condemning anti-Semitism (after condemning a bunch of other stuff first).

Was at a pawn shop today and saw Lieberman going off about Omar. Not sure how long he went off, bought my ammo and left.

The Justice Democrats are the Frankesteins monster created by the rhetoric that the dems used to rile up their base. They never thought it could be turned against them.

Yep. They love to talk about civil war and violence. They didn’t plan for it to happen from within. This is actually surprising. Leftists usually don’t start killing each other until after they have taken over.

    oh, not true.

The Bolshies were killing everybody and each other with abandon before they won the big one. It’s just that nobody noticed the ‘little’ picture

Read “Caught in the Revolution” by Helen Rappaport. It’s about the diplomatic corps in Russia when the revolution arrived and what it looked like to them.

Chilling. None of them ever saw it in its totality until it was too late.

yeah, the one everybody feels sorry for. If I’d been Lenin, I’d have done the same thing. Because if Trotsky got power, HE would have done the same thing.

The thugs always masquerade as some flavor of SJWs and create a political vehicle that lets them be thugs.

Watch. This whole ‘resolution’ thing in the House is, at bottom, an anti-white bill. It’s a precedent, not an outlier. The thugs are beginning to win.

And if the Dem Jews in the House who voted for this thinks it gives them cover, well, the trains are coming, you’ll be on them.

I know and it’s sad. I just don’t understand how they don’t see it. Lieberman sounded like he got it today, but in the end he still supports the party that wants to invite his eventual murderers into the country.

More bad news! The infamous ‘Tatiana G. McGrath’ has been EXPOSED!!

In reality, she was created by Andrew Doyle, a former private school teacher, 40

Did you know her middle initial, G, stands for Gethsemane? Me neither.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-6784409/SARAH-VINE-spoof-snowflake-fool-Lefties.html

Mr Doyle drew on his academic background when setting up the account, using the name Titania, the queen of the fairies in William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

‘She is named after the queen of the fairies because I think all of this “woke culture” is an utter fantasy world,’ he said. ‘The people who promote this hyper-inclusive culture are fantasists.’

    This is kinda fun.

Venezuela has been in a deep crisis under the authoritarian rule of President Nicolás Maduro of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV). Maduro was narrowly elected in 2013 after the death of populist President Hugo Chávez, who had served since 1999. Maduro’s regime has exhibited high levels of corruption and economic mismanagement, which have exacerbated the impact of a decline in global oilprices on the country’s economy. According to the International Monetary Fund,

Venezuela’s economy contracted by 18% and inflation exceeded 1.37 million percent in 2018.

Nevertheless, Maduro has used the courts, security forces, and electoral council to repress political opposition and quash dissent. According to the Venezuelan human rights organization Foro Penal, the regime held 918 political prisoners as of mid-February 2019. Most Venezuelans and much of the international community considered Maduro’s May 2018 reelection illegitimate.
