And to start the thread unraveling

Approximately 5,000 concertgoers were evacuated from the Homegrown Music Festival in New Zealand because someone thought they saw a “right-wing tattoo” on an attendee.

Mueller has cleared Trump, his campaign, anyone associated with it. “Found no evidence” DESPITE MULTIPLE OFFERS BY RUSSIA of collusion.

draws no conclusion on obstruction. does not conclude president committed a crime, it does not exonerate him, leaves it to attorney general.

Barr and Rosenstein have determined there is no obstruction.

Because Trump did not collude, he had no motive to obstruct, no corrupt intent.

Very bizarre show. Premise is male and female are dropped in a deserted area, as stated naked. I think they get like a knife and a rope or something like that. They then need to survive off the land for a certain number of days. Mrs. Federalist watched a few episodes. My personal opinion is that someone on a production crew just wanted to have the chance to be around nude people for a couple weeks at a time. Whole premise seems somewhat silly.

But I’ve done a survival expedition – and it was no joke – Outward Bound – and these people at not kidding around. Blair is a tough woman and she’s taking a beating. The ‘naked’ part is not a sexual thing, it’s a survival thing. On TV you don’t actually see anything and I can tell you in real life, it becomes a non-issue faster than you can imagine.

Oh, they won’t. Some of the episodes Mrs. Federalist watched had at least one of the people airlifted out because of some reaction. … and I get the survival expedition not being frivolous. The naked part is that to which I was referring. Not a real issue to the participants, to the film crews, probably more so.

Blair is saying it was a brown recluse in her tweets but I don’t know if that’s just a guess. I don’t know that they exist in Africa. I still have a mark from a brown recluse bite but all I had was a slight fever and a sore leg. Apparently not much venom.

Adam Schiftless has got some real problems. My guess is he was either the recipient of some very BAD information from someone in the Mueller investigation regarding collusion and/or he just assumed it had to be there and made it up as he went along.

Mark Levin pointed out on Friday that although Democrats want the documents, they are not entitled to them, the primary reason being that I’m sure many of the investigative pages dealt with Grand Jury testimony, which is done in secret and the witness is not permitted advice of counsel. When you testify before a Grand Jury you do so with the understanding that your testimony will not be made public. And be careful what you wish for, Dumbocrats. Apparently it was ALL a set up with regard to Papadapolous and the Dossier, and I have a big feeling that’s what the documents are going to say.

And why would an interview have been more compelling than written questions? Have they even seen the written questions? Interrogatories are written in a follow up manner. “If you answer to question 6 was anything other than “no”, please state….. or “if you answered question 6 in the affirmative, please state…..

  45. 45 | March 25, 2019 11:01 am

Rocket strikes house in central Israel

A rocket, reportedly fired from the Gaza Strip, has hit a house in central Israel. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is cutting short his trip to the US to deliver what he says will be a “strong Israeli response.”

Six people were injured in Israel after suspected rockets struck deep inside the country on Monday.

The Israeli military said one rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip, striking a house in Mishmeret, an agricultural town north of Tel Aviv.

Magen David Adom rescue service said it was treating seven people, including a 50-year-old woman who was moderately wounded.

“It’s a miracle that nobody got killed,” said Assi Dvilanski, a Magen David Adom paramedic.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he would fly back to Israel immediately after meeting US President Donald Trump on Monday.

“In light of the security events I decided to cut short my visit to the US,” Netanyahu said, adding that Israel would respond “forcefully” to the “heinous attack.”

  49. 50 | March 25, 2019 12:27 pm

And yet the left will still claim Trump is guilty simply because they want to believe it. And we will endure another two or three or seven years of endless investigations.

Michael Avenatti Appears to Have Used PAC as Personal Slush Fund

Embattled Democratic lawyer Michael Avenatti, who on Monday was arrested for an extortion plot involving Nike and was separately alleged to embezzle client money while falsifying tax returns, appears to have used a political action committee that he established to help liberal candidates as a personal slush fund, Federal Election Commission filings show.

Avenatti launched his PAC, the Fight PAC, last summer as he was contemplating a presidential run to help Democratic candidates with “the size and presence to really fight back and advocate for a position of strength as opposed to weakness.”

From the committee’s launch in late August 2018 to Dec. 31, 2018, Avenatti’s PAC hauled in $113,000 in total contributions. During this time, the Fight PAC reported $101,000 worth of operating expenditures—much of which were reimbursements for Avenatti’s jet-setting ways and stays at lavish hotels.

The Pentagon today shifted $1 billion from Army funds to a counternarcotics account to construct 57 miles of fencing along the United States-Mexico border, according to documents obtained by Inside Defense . In a March 25 letter to Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, acting Defense Secretary Pat Shanahan explained his rationale for reprogramming the funds to build fencing along “11 drug-smuggling corridors.” “Accordingly, at this time, I have decided to undertake Yuma Sector Projects 1 and 2 and El Paso…

Actually, even though he was a dud in follow up in Congress, Trey Gowdy would be an excellent choice as well. But I hope DOJ follows up with Graham’s request that a full-out investigation into the genesis for the charge that Trump colluded with Russia be made. At least this time I’m thinking we’ll see prosecutions based on the actual crimes being investigated.

I’ve heard 2 astonishing things already this morning.

    1. In an interview yesterday w/Seb Gorka, John Solomon said that in the very beginning, 2 people in the intel community came to his house unannounced late at night and told him the intel community was being used to get Trump and was totally compromised and would he please get ON it. If I heard correctly, this was before the dossier was widely known.

    2. Maria Bartoromo played a clip of James Clapper in an interview yesterday – I don’t know what network he was on – where he TOTALLY threw Obama, by name, under the bus. He said that it was Obama who insisted the intel community do an ‘assessment’ that led to the investigation, and without that, none of this would have happened.

Records: Former Michelle Obama aide, Smollett relative reached out to Kim Foxx

Just days after Jussie Smollett told Chicago police he had fought off a pair of attackers who targeted him in an apparent hate crime, Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx tried to persuade Police Supt. Eddie Johnson to turn the investigation over to the FBI.

Foxx’s call to Johnson came after an influential supporter of the “Empire” actor reached out to Foxx personally: Tina Tchen, a Chicago attorney and former chief of staff for former First Lady Michelle Obama, according to emails and text messages provided by Foxx to the Chicago Sun-Times in response to a public records request.

Tchen passed Foxx’s number to a relative of the actor, and the ensuing conversations with the family member were cited by Foxx last month as the reason she recused herself from Smollett’s prosecution as the actor faces disorderly conduct charges for allegedly making a false police report.

I just got my copy of the Daily Appellate Report, as I wanted to read the decision in the Steinle case on appeal to the 9th Circuit, who (of course) ruled that San Francisco cannot be sued under it’s sanctuary city policy because it released a CRIMINAL illegal alien that went on to kill Kate Steinle.

God, can this family EVER get justice?? The effing jury in this benighted town refused to find the POS guilty of her murder and now the 9th Circus finds that the Sanctuary City policy is “discretionary” and too bad, so sad.

I want to see if the rationale behind liability is such that it should definitely go to the Supreme Court. My initial reaction is yes. If these cities (and in my case, the STATE) can be held liable for willful violation of federal law, I’m thinking they won’t move fast enough to get ICE to get these illegals back to their hellhole of origin.

they’ll just drag it out. These people no longer fear or respect the law. They will do exactly what they want and law, justice, and the Steinle family can suck it.

As for prosecuting Smollett’s paid assailants – who is going to do that? They don’t actually expect people to believe this crap, they’ve got a big rug, a bigger broom and the media has had their narrative, i.e., marching orders, handed to them. Run along.

Pelosi just said Congress ‘demands’ to see the entire Mueller report. Nevermind that the law leaves it up to the DOJ, WE DEMAND.

read upthread. I also posted a piece about the cops wanting an investigation into Foxx as of A WEEK ago. After it came out that she had ties to Obama, she recused herself from the case. I don’t know how she got back in unless it’s under cover of ‘the office of….’.

If Rahm just wanted a change of venue, he wouldn’t have to go thru all this. He wants Kim Foxx GONE and they are both Obama’s creatures. So it’s getting weird.

See, people who keep saying twitter is a cesspool don’t admit that if they’re the ones standing in shit, maybe they should move. Cuz my neighborhood has stuff like this. For all the musicians here

    Music from ancient Greece recreated.

Much of what we think of as Ancient Greek poetry, including Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey, was composed to be sung, frequently with the accompaniment of musical instruments. And while the Greeks left modern classicists many indications that music was omnipresent in society – from vases decorated with lyres, to melodic notation preserved on stone – the precise character and contours of the music has long been considered irreproducible. However, the UK Classicist and classical musician Armand D’Angour has spent years endeavouring to stitch the mysterious sounds of Ancient Greek music back together from large and small hints left behind. In 2017, his work culminated in a unique performance at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, intended to recreate the sounds of Greek music dating as far back as Homer’s era – roughly 700 BCE. This short documentary details the extraordinary research and musical expertise that made the concert possible, revealing remarkable sounds once thought lost to time.

AOC is saying she told Dems to vote present. I actually believe her. It was a stupid move, tho.

Because I encouraged them to vote present, along w/ others. McConnell tried to rush the #GreenNewDeal straight to the floor without a hearing. The real question we should be asking: Why does the Senate GOP refuse to hold any major hearings on climate change?

Dershowitz: CNN Banned Me ‘Because They Want a One-Sided Presentation’ On Russia Narrative

Attorney Alan Dershowitz on Monday asserted on Fox News that he thought he had been banned from appearing on CNN “because they want a one-sided presentation” in analyzing special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.

“I have been right from day one, and almost all the other pundits and professors have just been dead wrong,” Dershowitz told “The Story” anchor Martha MacCallum.

“CNN banned me from their air because I was being too fair. I was trying to assess what the essential issue was, and I wasn’t being partisan. They didn’t want that. They didn’t want that.”

“CNN wouldn’t have me on the air because they want a one-sided presentation, and everybody who watches CNN was shocked by the conclusions,” Dershowitz, who is an opinion contributor for The Hill, added. “No one who watches me was shocked.”

The Hill has reached out to CNN for comment.

Dershowitz used to regularly appear on CNN, Fox News and MSNBC to talk about the Mueller investigation, but has only appeared on Fox News for the past several months. On CNN, Dershowitz was often paired with CNN senior legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin to discuss the probe.

Northwestern Hospital employees say they were fired over Smollett’s records

The Northwestern Memorial Hospital employee thought nothing of it when a coworker walked over to her desk and asked if “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett had been admitted under an alias.

Now, the employee — an administrator with an advanced degree — is out of a job, after she was told she’d inappropriately accessed Smollett’s records, violating hospital rules.

The administrator, who didn’t want her name used, told the Chicago Sun-Times she was stunned by her dismissal — and she suspects others may have been fired or disciplined for doing the same thing.

“I didn’t get any information about [Smollett]. I never clicked on his name and entered his record,” said the former administrator.

The prosecutors soon would learn the resistance they faced was blowing directly from the U.S. Embassy in Kiev, where the Obama administration took the rare step of trying to press the Ukrainian government to back off its investigation of both the U.S. aid and the group.

US Embassy pressed Ukraine to drop probe of George Soros group during 2016 election

which side was Manafort working for? Oh

The U.S.-Soros collaboration was visible in Kiev. Several senior Department of Justice (DOJ) officials and FBI agents appeared in pictures as participants or attendees at Soros-sponsored events and conferences.

One attendee was Karen Greenaway, then the FBI supervisor in charge of international fraud cases and one of the lead agents in the Manafort investigation in Ukraine.

    oh, look, another coinky-dink!

Michael Vachon, a spokesman for Soros, deferred any comment about AntAC to the group. But he did he confirm his boss supported the continued investigation of Russia collusion allegations against Trump well past 2016.

Vachon said Soros wrote a sizable check from his personal funds in fall 2017 to a new group, Democracy Integrity Project, started by a former FBI agent and Senate staffer Daniel Jones [and former Feinstein staffer] to continue “investigation and research into foreign interference in American elections and European elections.”

Vachon said the group asked Soros not to divulge the size of his contribution, and Soros later learned the group hired Fusion GPS, the same firm that was paid by Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic Party to create the infamous “Steele dossier” alleging Trump-Russia collusion.

Just came out here that the total NZ Carbon debt has already been satisfied just by counting the number of Hectares of Man Made Forest planted 1.2 billion hectares. If NZ is ALREADY Carbon neutral what the hell is all of the breast beating by the socialists about having to pay billions in Carbon credits to other countries. The bloody country already generates 85% of power with Hydro and the balance with natural gas, with coal fired stations still there just as an emergency back up.

Yet the socialist left are demanding that 80% of all cars will need to be converted to electric and public transport tripled by 2050 to meet these ‘imaginary faux-carbon targets.’ The REAL objective is very obvious. The manipulation of the economy to make it uncompetitive and bring the standard of living down to ensure that the NZ Public will have to depend on the State to live.

For some reason, this hasn’t received a lot of attention. I can’t imagine why. I mean, when you lose a $2.9 BILLION submarine, you would think somebody would notice.

The INS Arahant is now ‘inoperable’.

The absence of Arihant from operations came to the political leadership’s attention during the India-China military standoff at Doklam

    Because…SOMEBODY LEFT A HATCH OPEN.

Arihant , the country’s only operational Ship Submersible Ballistic Nuclear (SSBN) asset, can stay undetected deep underwater for long periods,

    Evidently, it already has.
