      Happy Easter and Passover everyone.

Here is an interesting experiment. How would you write up the story of Jesus’s crucifixion/resurrection if you were a contemporary ‘journalist’?

Mark Tapscott tries out an experiment over the 3 days.

A review about Netflix nature series.

“If you liked Triumph of the Will, you’ll love this latest masterpiece of the genre: Our Planet. The Netflix nature series exploits the prestige, popularity and swansinging poignancy of Sir David Attenborough to promote an environmental message so relentlessly dishonest and alarmist it might have been scripted by the WWF.

‘Walruses committing suicide because of global warming.’ That was the nonsense from episode two repeated uncritically by all the newspapers, none of which seems to have been much interested in questioning the veracity of the claim. You’ll never guess what it was that really drove those walruses over the edge of the cliff… Ironically, the likely culprits were polar bears — that supposedly threatened species whose population has grown exponentially in the past 50 years to the point where they are now beginning to become something of a pest.

But obviously you were never going to hear any of that from TV’s favorite whispery-voiced gorilla-hugging Malthusian. Why let the facts get in the way of his narrative, which is that in the past 50 years the human species has catastrophically altered the balance of nature (hitherto ‘stable’, apparently) which has been plunged into chaos by man-made climate change?

I shan’t detail all the arrantly false claims, which I’m sure you’ll find patiently rebutted on the internet soon enough. Instead, I want to focus on the shamelessly manipulative nature of the production, which in future years I’m sure will be offered in MI6 seminars on how to brainwash millions without their having a clue they are being brainwashed.

Music, as Riefenstahl knew, is key. The score of Our Planet hammers home the message with all the subtlety of an amplified kettle drum: exaggeratedly comical, wacky circus music for when the manakin birds are performing their funny carousel dance routines; thrilling, stirring adventure music for when the wolves chase the caribou or the hunting dogs go after the wildebeest; achingly sad violin music for when the fledgling flamingo staggers to a slow, agonized death as its little legs are shackled with encrusted salt.”

      YOU’RE ALL GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY.

      @ yenta-fada:

Attenborough has managed to destroy his own legacy when there’s no time to recover. I refused to watch it because I saw the trailer w/the walruses and I don’t EVER deliberately expose myself to scenes of animal suffering.

Even the Daily Mail has knee-capped him. That writer used a scene of an orangutan desperately trying to stop a bulldozer taking out palm trees. Attenborough never tells you that the demand for palm oil is driven by the push to replace fossil fuels.

I expect that someday people will start re-examining Attenborough’s work to see what else he’s lied about.

Sir David sold his soul to the WWF and assorted fascistic socialist interests years ago.
Now he’s being exposed as just another lying scumbag full of self satisfied socialist, who is fast running out of life and time.

Alas for him he’ll soon be manufacturing loads of methane as he rots in the ground or alternatively burns 3 hours of gas producing tons of CO2 reducing his body to ash!

I wish we could ask that walrus what he thought about this bloke!

I’d read that Kristen Gillibrand’s father had provided some political services to the NXIVM sex cult back in the day with no clarity at all if he had any understanding of what it was. However, now there’s an issue. Her father’s wife (Gillibrand’s stepmother), who is also her father’s 2nd cousin, actually got involved in the cult.

      So there’s that.

I can seriously recommend beach houses! It’s just gone 0830 and the sun has hit the beach not 30 metres from where I’m typing this. Tide os on the flow so I’d better get my skates on and take a morning constitutional before I can’t get right around the reef at the end of my beachh to get access to Thornton Bay beach.

Bliss and so good for the soul.

      🙂

Some people truly do not have a life. One of our company propagandists proudly wrote in our daily scandal sheet how his person in charge of recycling “bleeds green” and when she finds out that one of the recycle loads has been contaminated such that it needs to be taken to the landfill, “the look on her face is like someone stole her lunch”. My goal is to make her cry.

I know for the longest time, most recycling was just dumped in the same landfill as all the other trash. It was hilarious watching them dump all the containers in the same truck while the holier than thou greenies walked around preening.

I’ve been thinking – I wonder if there’s a way to get vegans to eat paper. It’s made from trees. Aren’t they kind of like vegetables or something? We could tell them the cellulose is fiber.

I was watching the BBC yesterday while I was doing chores. They’re about 50% Gaia bull. They had over an hour on how to eat insects.

I have no idea how civilization took hold. The only thing I can think of is that it was so difficult in the beginning the idiots didn’t get a chance to propagate. Now it’s so soft, the bastards are all over the place.
