Trump is going to start the 2020 campaign in FL in a few days, people are camping out to get in 48 hours early. So, it’s time for the Word-Whores, the GOPinc ™ (r) to start trotting out anti-Trump articles. Lead spineless word-whore George Will has some words, paid for by MSNBC no less:

Monday on MSNBC, Washington Post columnist George Will predicted the eventual presidential nominee of the Democratic Party would beat President Donald Trump in 2020.

When asked what the Democrats need to do to beat Trump, Will said, “It seems to me they will win the White House given the fact that the president has a very narrow band. He can’t fall below 42% but can’t get above 46%. The White House is theirs to win if they don’t kick it away. It’s theirs to lose.”

He continued, “They were indispensable to electing Trump in the first place in 2016 and sometimes they do seem to me to be out to prove that that wasn’t a fluke, that they could do it again. But what they want to do is make it easy for people to vote for Democrats. Which means don’t start your campaign as Kamala Harris did in a cable appearance by saying let’s get rid of private health insurance, thereby frightening 180 million Americans who have employer-provided health insurance and, by the way, frightening organized labor which today exists primarily to negotiate health care as untaxed competition for its members.”

He added, “So if they would simply understand the American people aren’t up in arms, the American people would really like a return to something like normality, it’s theirs to win.”

NORMALITY???? For WHOM George???

No, George, you gutless stooge. What you and your pathetic ilk don’t understand, or refuse to understand, is that THIS IS NORMAL. AMERICA FIRST FOREIGN AND ECONOMIC POLICY IS NORMAL!!!!

Did they get to the part where he said if his son behaved like Trump, he’d threaten to send him to bed w/o dinner?

    No, he really said that.

Isn’t that just the CUTEST thing EVER? [ sqeeeeee ]

Paul Manafort Was Headed to Notorious and Dangerous Rikers Island Jail – Then AG Bill Barr’s Deputy Intervened

A couple weeks ago it was reported that former Trump 2016 campaign chairman Paul Manafort, 70, was to be transferred to Rikers Island jail complex where he would have likely lived in solitary confinement — until the Justice Department intervened.

Rikers Island, which is located between the Bronx and Queens in New York City, is known to be a very violent and dangerous facility with a chronic problem with gangs.

The notorious Rikers Island is full of hardened, violent inmates and the management is so poor that even inmates in protective custody aren’t safe.

Attorney General Bill Barr’s new Deputy Jeffrey Rosen, sent a letter to Manhattan prosecutors warning them he is monitoring where Paul Manafort would be held in New York, reported the New York Times.

Manhattan prosecutors were surprised to receive a letter from the second-highest law enforcement official in the country inquiring about Mr. Manafort’s case. The letter, from Jeffrey A. Rosen, Attorney General William P. Barr’s new top deputy, indicated that he was monitoring where Mr. Manafort would be held in New York.

And then, on Monday, federal prison officials weighed in, telling the Manhattan district attorney’s office that Mr. Manafort, 70, would not be going to Rikers.

Instead, he will await his trial at a federal lockup in Manhattan or at the Pennsylvania federal prison where he is serving a seven-and-a-half-year sentence for wide-ranging financial schemes, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

Let’s talk about Bernie Sanders’ stated platform. Mark Levin pointed this out last Thursday, brought it up again today.

    http://www.marklevinshow.com/2019/06/13/june-13-2019/

    Levin linked to this:

    https://www.departments.bucknell.edu/russian/const/36cons04.html

I took that, replaced USSR with America, fixed some typos and miscellaneous syntax errata, and created a .pdf file for forwarding. Meanwhile, Bernie Sanders’ website posts this:

    https://berniesanders.com/issues/

    Yeah, Bernie’s got issues.

    @ Bunk X:
Just found out that I can’t post .pdf files here.

  26. 26 | June 18, 2019 1:08 am

    @ Bunk X:

Here’s what I intended to post as a link:

    Bernie Sanders’ Platform

1 All Americans have the right to work, that is, are guaranteed the right to employment and payment for their work in accordance with its quantity and quality.

The right to work is ensured by the socialist organization of the national economy, the steady growth of the productive forces of American society, the elimination of the possibility of economic crises, and the abolition of unemployment.

    2. All Americans have the right to rest and leisure. The right to rest and leisure is ensured by the reduction of the working day to seven hours for the overwhelming majority of workers, the institution of annual vacations with full pay for workers and employees and the provision of a wide network of sanatoria, rest homes and clubs for the accommodation of working families.

    3. All Americans have the right to maintenance in old age and also in case of sickness or loss of capacity to work. This right is ensured by the extensive development of social insurance of workers and employees at State expense, free medical service for working families and the provision of a wide network of health resorts for the use of working families.

    4. All Americans have the right to education. This right is ensured by universal, compulsory elementary education, including higher education, being free of charge, by the system of State stipends for the overwhelming majority of students in the universities and colleges; by instruction in schools being conducted in the native Ianguage, and by the organization in the factories, State farms, machine and tractor stations and collective farms of free vocational, technical and agronomic training for working families.

    5. All American women are accorded equal rights with men in all spheres of economic, State, cultural, social and political life. The possibility of exercising these rights is ensured to women by granting them an equal right with men to work, payment for work, rest and leisure, social insurance and education, and by State protection of the interests of mother and child, pre-maternity and maternity leave with full pay, and the provision of a wide network of maternity homes, nurseries and kindergartens.

    6. Equality of rights of All Americans, irrespective of their nationality or race, in all spheres of economic, State, cultural, social and political life, is an indefeasible law. Any direct or indirect restriction of the rights of, or, conversely, any establishment of direct or indirect privileges for, citizens on account of their race or nationality, as well as any advocacy of racial or national exclusiveness or hatred and contempt, is punishable by law.

    7. In order to ensure American citizens freedom of conscience, the Church is separated from the State, and the school from the Church. Freedom of religious worship and freedom of anti-religious propaganda is recognized for all citizens.

    8. In conformity with the interests of working families, and in order to strengthen the socialist system, All Americans are guaranteed by law:

    Freedom of speech;
    Fredom of the press;
    Freedom of assembly, including the holding of mass meetings;
Freedom of street processions and demonstrations.

    9. These civil rights are ensured by placing at the disposal of working families and their organizations printing presses, stocks of paper, public buildings, the streets, communications facilities and other material requisites for the exercise of these rights.

    10. In conformity with the interests of working families, and in order to develop the organizational initiative and political activity of the masses of the people, All Americans are ensured the right to unite in public organizations – trade unions, cooperative associations, youth organizations,’ sport and defense organizations, cultural, technical and scientific societies; and the most active and politically most conscious citizens in the ranks of the working class and other sections of working families unite in the Socialist Party of the America which is the vanguard of working families in their struggle to strengthen and develop the socialist system and is the leading core of all organizations of working families, both public and State.

    11. All Americans are guaranteed inviolability of the person. No person may be placed under arrest except by decision of a court or with the sanction of a procurator.

    12. The inviolability of the homes of citizens and privacy of correspondence are protected by law.

    13. America affords the right of asylum to foreign citizens persecuted for defending the interests of working families, or for their scientific activities, or for their struggle for national liberation.

    14. It is the duty of every citizen of America to abide by the Constitution of the United States of America, to observe the laws, to maintain labor discipline, honestly to perform public duties, and to respect the rules of socialist intercourse.

    15. It is the duty of every citizen of America to safeguard and strengthen public, socialist property as the sacred and inviolable foundation of the American system, as the source of the wealth and might of the country, as the source of the prosperous and cultured life of all working families.

Persons committing offenses against public, socialist property are enemies of the people.

    16. Universal military service is law. Military service in the Armed Forces is an honorable duty of All Americans.

    17. To defend the homeland is the sacred duty of every citizen of America. Treason to the country, violation of the oath of allegiance, desertion to the enemy, impairing the military power of the State, espionage – is punishable with all the severity of the law as the most heinous of crimes.

There’s just one little problem. That’s Chapter 10 of the 1936 USSR Constitution, and we all know what Josef Stalin and the Bolsheviks did.
    THEY LIED.

Minor edits above – replaced U.S.S.R. with America for illustration purposes only. Here’s the original:

Ocasio-Cortez Attacks ‘Shrieking Republicans’ For Criticizing Her Comparison Of Border Facilities To Concentration Camps…

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., has taken aim at “shrieking Republicans” who criticized her for comparing border facilities at the U.S.-Mexico border to concentration camps.

The freshman New Yorker made the shocking claim during an Instagram broadcast on Monday night and then doubled down Tuesday morning on Twitter.

“This administration has established concentration camps on the southern border of the United States for immigrants, where they are being brutalized with dehumanizing conditions and dying,” she tweeted.

“This is not hyperbole. It is the conclusion of expert analysis.”

Leia had this plastic ball that you could fill with treats. The idea was to push it around and periodically, a treat would fall out one of the holes.

She learned to push it off the top step. As it bounced down the stairs, the treats would fly out. Then she’d pick it up, carry it back upstairs, and do it again.

I know. That’s why I post some of them.

I think the interviews with Megan and Rebecca Lovell are interesting, and informative. Even the old ones, where Rebecca was about 14, it’s amazing how articulate the three of them were, and how knowledgeable about music they are. Of course, they were home schooled, and both of their parents are medical professionals (their father is a doctor and their mom is an occupational therapist).

  66. lobo91
    67 | June 18, 2019 7:50 pm

    @ coldwarrior:

One of the reasons Megan and Rebecca are so good is that they’re actually trained musicians, rather than having just learned to play an instrument. They started learning classical piano and violin when they were about 4. That gave them the foundation to branch off into what they do now.

One reason their music is so good is that they break a lot of the conventional rules. They can do that successfully, though, because they know what those rules are.

I’m always amazed by the number of popular performers who can’t even read music. I don’t know how they write songs. I guess someone else listens to what they play and copies it down or something.

  73. eaglesoars
    74 | June 18, 2019 9:29 pm

    @ Deplorable Martian Overlord:

She is considered one of the founders of feminist thought but THAT is not considered philosophy. The only reason she’s given any credibility is because of her relationshipw/Sartre.

w/o going into the whole existentialism thing, I’ll just say this. I had a mentor in high school, Dorothy, who was married to a man from the Netherlands who was a devotee of Husserl(phenomenology), and a philosopher in his own right. They knew Jean-Paul and Simone, along with all the rest of the people you’ve ever heard of because they grew up together in the universities of Europe. And they HATED Jean-Paul and Simone. It was Dorothy who told me that the so-called ‘intellectual bond’ was a beard for the life they lived. Simone was his procurer. And let’s just say they missed out on a chance or two to save the occasional Jew.

A biography of Simone came out a few years ago that admits this to a point, but either the author never really understood or chose not to belabor it, but she didn’t even get the half of it.

So anything de Beauvoir has to say about ‘feminism’ is lie. She was a slave to a sexual predator.

On the flip side of music education, I watched one of Leonard Bernstein’s “Young People’s Concerts” series. It held up VERY well in every respect. Full symphonic Orchestras have always relied on rich sponsors. But I think the audiences for them have disappeared. Symphonic music doesn’t fit on a playlist. Nor are people inclined to sit and concentrate on music without words and action. Just a guess since I’m a shut in for years now. But Bernstein explains things so beautifully and timed for a young attention span. Classical music will always be magnificent in its many forms through the centuries.

One, it is NOT a crypto. No blockchain which is the point about math money as a globalized and de-centralized ‘currency’. Two, always keep in mind that it is a move towards a cashless society. They want tax on everything and cheer your penury. Like the Chinese, they will be able to take all your money if your social credit score is not high enough. Now, smarty marty:

On corporate side, Facebook officially unveiled plans to partner with 28 other companies (such as MasterCard, PayPal and others) to form the Libra Association, which will govern a new cryptocurrency they plan to launch in 2020, dubbed the Libra. “Libra’s mission is to enable a simple global currency and financial infrastructure that empowers billions of people,” according to the company’s website. Facebook also announced they’ve created a new subsidiary called Calibra, which will offer digital wallets to use Libras in connection with Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp platforms. This is an ambitious plan that might be better received had Facebook not been involved in privacy concerns over recent months.

Trump needs a strategy for California. I know, I know, it’s a lost cause electorally. But it was the seat of a huge wave of popular vote for Hillary in 2016. Mostly because a lot of people I know said this “I really don’t like Trump but if the state was in contention I’d pull the lever for him” – they didn’t think it would matter if they voted for him or not. So they futzed with the ballot.

THIS time, it needs to be impressed upon Red California that while Trump may not win the state, the Democrats made much of the popular vote loss – so this time, PULL THE DAMN LEVER.

But if Trump comes to Riverside for a huge rally, in L.A.’s backyard, he can talk about homelessness, illegal immigration, drug cartels, education failure, and higher taxes. And I’d do it right before the jungle primary – designed to put two Democrats on the ballot. If they have to run against GOP, they WILL have to spend money.

More really cool stuff. How do you build something to last 10,000 years?

They’re going to build a clock.

Building a 10,000-year machine required diving into both history and the present to see how artefacts have lasted. While we can slow the workings of the clock itself down so that it only ticks as many times in 10,000 years as a watch does in a person’s lifetime, what about the materials and location? Over the last 20 years I have studied how other structures and systems have lasted over time, and visited as many of them as I can. Some sites have been conserved by simply being lost or buried, some have survived in plain sight by their sheer mass, others have had much more subtle strategies.

Maniac Maxine moron no likee Facebook “Libra” currency. Like she understands a word of it.

“Given the company’s troubled past, I am requesting that Facebook agree to a moratorium on any movement forward on developing a cryptocurrency until Congress and regulators have the opportunity to examine these issues and take action,” Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Chairwoman of the House Financial Services Committee, wrote in a statement published Tuesday. She added:

“Facebook executives should also come before the Committee to provide testimony on these issues.”

this IS a disturbing development, especially when you consider that Google is proposing to take over the housing market in Seattle.

I can see the return of ‘company towns’ that the steel/coal companies had and that’s not good. Back then, it was a god send for a lot of those people, but they were still trapped and in debt for the rest of their lives to the company.

Red winged blackbirds are diving down and pecking people in a Toronto neighborhood. What do the birds know and when did they know it?

It’s supposed to snow in Jasper, Alberta tonight. NASA release allegedly says we have already entered the solar minimum era. Watch this space for confirmation from someone other than a decent blogger.

Give Zuk half a chance and his totalitarian side will pop fully formed into the world.

Comrade Zuk for President for life you lowly surfs.

Try to rebel and Comrade Zuk will refuse to allow you access to his crypto for being naughty surfs.

Don’t forget to ensure that your 10,000 ear machine is nowhere near the head hackers of ISIS / al Qaeda. They tend to blow up anything that is remotely worthy of keeping safe. Such is the evil in their black souls!

The Bank of England and other Masters of the Universe are considering the matter. That is official confirmation. The BANKS are currently the enemies of REAL cryptocurrencies like bitcoin. They want all the marbles. My belief is that the banksters are positioned to control digital money. They are developing their own. I also believe they already own, through big agencies, the lion’s share of bitcoin and other main cryptos. This is about the global monetary system. Cash isn’t going away so soon, but the various globalists are making plans behind the curtain. Trump can only take on some aspects of the deep state at a time to return the rule of law.

The blockchain which has many uses is developing quietly and quickly. You understand the blockchain better than I do. The official name for real cryptos is “digital assets” according to Charlie Lee, the inventor of iltecoin. Right now there are only a small uses of cryptos
to buy real things. People generally trade among different cryptos for profit. I don’t know how you turn them into cash money. There must be some banks who will do this type of transaction. Coinbase is the biggest and oldest exchange. I don’t know how it works but Canadians can’t use it.

The whole area is a work in progress. It is not going away. China has outlawed bitcoin exchanges because so many were using them to take money out of China. They obviously want currency controls for the totalitarian State.

I’m convinced that whole dog and pony show hearing on Reparations today was so that the Democrats can open up the “GOP War on Blacks” for the upcoming campaign season. Much like they had Snuffy ask Romney that birth control question so they could get the “War on Woman” BS going.

    who doesn’t?

When Zuk starts paying FB employees in crypto, all the benes in crypto, etc., gets banks to issue credit cards for crypto, Amazon takes crypto – governments will get involved. That’s a ‘dark’ economy. I THINK the IRS considers cryptos assets like stocks, so you’d declare capital gains, etc. But that will change fast.

Re cryptos. The real crypto people don’t like social media that bans them for all kinds of reasons. However, they would like to get mass adoption of any alternative form of money from an organization large enough to roll it out. Zuck wants to peg Libra to the U.S. dollar.

no it hasn’t. It is banned in the EU because that’s what the EU does. It’s an herbicide that can’t pass thru the skin easily so you have to inhale or eat it . All studies show it passes thru the body unchanged. The problem comes with carrier chemicals that help its absorption into plants.

Toxicity for PURE glyphosate is low. The WHO people evaluated FEWER studies than the reg agencies for various countries.

  153. 157 | June 19, 2019 10:35 pm

    Well crap.

We took the car up to have my brother-in-law change the timing belt, and whoever did the job will last over tightened the tensioner bolt. He’s afraid if he puts any more pressure the whole bolt would break off.

If that happens, we’d have to either try to drill the bolts out and re-tap it, or replace the whole engine. The car is 19 years old, and has 167,000 miles on it.

I really don’t want to have to look for another car. And we really don’t have the money for it either.
