Happy July 4th OPEN! 2019

Again, the valley was full of: “pomp and parade, with shews, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other from this time forward forever more.” As President Adams wrote.

Most towns official fireworks are planned for Friday and Saturday Night.

JHey, I wonder…is there a Fireworks index?

I’ve been doing a lot of music stuff lately, but this fits in with the Fourth, as well. It’s an interview with Eddie Van Halen from about two years ago, part of the Smithsonian’s “What it Means to be an American” series. People forget (or never knew) that Eddie and Alex were actually immigrants from the Netherlands:

“Only in America is it still possible. It’s all about freedom, and you put your nose and tail to it, and if you have anything that you want to do, I still think that if you…just don’t stop.”

    Good morning, all.

    Came across this little nugget.

Truckers in Illinois will notice the most sizeable increase in fuel prices, as the tax rate jumped by 24 cents on Monday. The new diesel tax in Illinois is 45.5 cents per gallon, up from 21.5 per gallon.

    https://www.overdriveonline.com/diesel-fuel-taxes-increase-in-a-dozen-states/?utm_medium=overdrive&utm_campaign=site_click&utm_source=popular

Isn’t Illinois the state where they rob you when you try and leave as well?

They tried but I think it failed to pass. And for a few brief, shining moments, they had the highest gas tax in the country

Then California’s kicked in a couple days ago. It’s over 55 now and over 65 on diesel

    So this happened

Just got thrown out of Hill Country DC for standing up to a Nazi. Don’t go there ever again. They support Trump and Nazis

Guy wears MAGA hat at my favorite restaurant. I say “hey are you from dc?” He says “no.” I say “we don’t tolerate racism in this city.” His girlfriend then physically jabs fingers into my chest and starts threatening me. Management tells me to leave, not woman who assaulted me

Just called the manager there and his answer was “we are an equal opportunity restaurant who welcomes all political viewpoints” before hanging up on me. cool, except MAGA hats actually make clear that POC and LGBT are not welcome at all.

And for the record, the Nazi’s girlfriend assualted me by jabbing her fingers into my chest repeatedly, and I simply backed up. Yet I was told to leave, not the Nazi or his Nazi girlfriend

    The burn delivered by Schlicter

I’ve never been beaten up by a girl. What’s it like?

I think you have that as closer to the truth than we will know. She is not all that bright; she is being run just like a run-of-the mill traitor who has a handler who tells them what information to get. In her case, she has a handler(s) telling her what to say, when to say it, and where to say it. She was picked because she is reasonably attractive and checks enough diversity boxes to have what passes for credibility these days. Of course, the handler(s) have also told the traitorous media that she is the person they need to follow so she has the publicity required as well.

    HEH!

At first the guys and gals throwing live grenades were a little twitchy. They had to watch where the grenade landed so that if it was a blind then they could point out tp the demolitions engineer where it was laying. At first they would often throw and then duck and I’d have to grab ’em by the shoulders and lift ’em up and say watch where it lands and then we’d duck down before the explosion.

The look on some of their faces ad I’d lift them up was priceless! HEH! 🙂

One guy was peddling in the air trying to get down again.

All Good in the end as they all got used to the use of grenades and more importantly nobody got killed on my watch!

Democratic congresswoman secretly sending staff into Mexico to coach asylum-seekers

The National Border Patrol Council’s El Paso chapter and several Customs and Border Protection personnel told the Washington Examiner aides to Rep. Veronica Escobar, who took over 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke’s district, and the local Catholic diocese have interviewed thousands of migrants in Juarez over the past few weeks to find cases where Department of Homeland Security officials may have wrongly returned people.

“What we believe is happening is Veronica Escobar’s office is going … to basically second-guess and obstruct work already done by the Border Patrol,” said one senior union official, who shared evidence with the Washington Examiner from concerned CBP managers and rank-and-file members. Those documents have been held to protect identities.

Biden Vows To Bring Back Obamacare’s Individual Mandate Penalty For Not Having Insurance
Joe Biden, former vice president and 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful, said Friday he would bring back the individual mandate, the penalty for not having health insurance, which was a pillar of the Affordable Care Act.

“Yes, I’d bring back the individual mandate,” Biden said in an interview on CNN. The individual mandate would be popular now, “compared to what’s being offered,” he added.

Biden played an integral part in crafting the ACA, commonly known as Obamacare. However, President Donald Trump eliminated the individual mandate in 2017 by signing the Republican tax bill, effective the 2019 tax year.

    Hey thanks so much Eagles.

Extremely interesting and quite chilling !

I particularly enjoyed Comrade software engineer Yang Guozhi who works for BOTH Huawei and the notorious PLA’s Unit 61398 located in Building 101 in Shanghai. One can only hope that he’s getting paid by BOTH outfits, the PLA’s Unit 61398 as well as Huawei. One wonders where Comrade Yang finds the time between his regular meeting at the PLA’s Strategic Force, working on Cyber warfare, EW,Psyops, and tech reccon and holding down his desk at Huawei. He’s one of the lesser flies in the ointment whereas Comrade Wang Qiang’s CV and his work with Huawei makes your hair stand on end.

The discovery of a unique dataset of Chinese CVs that leaked from UNSECURE Chinese recruitment databases and websites and emerged online in 2018. Thank god for that! Needless some PLA goon is now volunteering to supply his organs at an organ harvesting farm, for this ‘little oversight’.

    🙂

ANYONE who favours getting into bed with Huaiwi needs to have his security pulled immediately and be thoroughly investigated.

Oh and ensure that Huawei’s co-founder Men Zhengfei’s daughter stays SECURELY locked up in a Canadian prison.

WHEN does she get deported to the US to stand trial?

    @ Aussie Infidel:

“Huawei’s co-founder Men Zhengfei’s daughter stays SECURELY locked up in a Canadian prison”. Actually she is under house arrest in her mansion in Vancouver. She never should have been arrested in Canada in the first place. The news here reported that the U.S. asked that she be arrested and extradited. Vancouver is far left politically. I’m inclined to think that some radical Sikh functionary messed up. Truedolt has tight ties with that clique of traitors in Vancouver. His Defense Minister is that strain and he has zippo experience that qualifies him for the job. They puffed up (lied on) his resume to make it seem like he’s worth it. He’s about as qualified as the Somali Immigration lawyer that Truedolt chose for his Federal Immigration Minister. Traitors with ties to the radicals in their home countries.

Tommy Robinson was found guilty after yet another trial. He had a million facebook followers and the same number on twitter. Both accounts were suspended because they are Globalist schmucks. Sentencing is supposed to be soon. Tommy and his supporters know that jail is a death sentence. The prisons are full of muslims. All victims of islamophobia I’m sure./// There is a fatwa out for Tommy.

Tommy’s crime was that, as an Independent reporter, he asked one of the convicted muslim rape grooming gang monsters how he felt about the verdict. That’s it. This 2 day trial came down to hurting the feelings of a muslim child rapist with a single question.

England no longer operates under the rule of law.

AOC bitch-slaps Pelosi and you know what? She has a point.

In a New York Times interview published Saturday, Pelosi dismissed the influence of Ocasio’Cortez’s “Squad,” which includes Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts “All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world,” Pelosi said. “But they didn’t have any following. They’re four people and that’s how many votes they got.”

    ======

“That public ‘whatever’ is called public sentiment. And wielding the power to shift it is how we actually achieve meaningful change in this country,” the New York Democrat said Saturday about Pelosi after the New York Democrat said Ocasio-Cortez and her inner circle of liberal freshman Democrats were just “four people.”

“I find it strange when members act as though social media isn’t important. They set millions of dollars on fire to run TV ads so people can see their message. I haven’t dialed for dollars *once* this year, & have more time to do my actual job. Yet we’d rather campaign like it’s 2008,” Ocasio-Cortez added.

this is getting ugly. Turkey is causing serious problems

    —————-

Turkey covertly transported 42 German Leopard-2A4 tanks to Kythrea, a small town in breakaway northern Cyprus just 10 kilometres from the Cypriot capital Nicosia, Greek website To Vima said.

Turkey deployed the tanks and ammunition belonging to its First Army with two cargo ships that set sail from the northwestern province of Edirne, near its border with Greece, To Vima said in a report this week that was cited by other Greek media on Thursday.

The transfer took place despite the U.S. Congress and the German government banning the transfer to Cyprus of weapons systems that they have manufactured, according to the news site.

Tovima said the move meant that a third party, Turkey, would be using European-made armaments in an occupied EU territory.

A tank regiment equipped with Leopard-2A4s can leave a serious mark. Especially given that much concentration of force. Still the Greeks Cypriot army has terrain on their side as well as some limited Ant-Tank firepower available. In the end it will come down to logistics as it always does. If you can’t reuse over a water gap then you might as well have never left home!

    🙂

Still what are the Turks thinking of doing seriously? Roll over a fellow NATO and an EU member state? Really?

NATO will NOT be pleased. The Russians will be laughing all over the place and the Israelis will be busy shipping anti-Tank weapons as fast as they can go to Cypiot armed forces.
The Turks are obviously getting twitchy as Israel and Cypus (the Greek half) are sharing a massive gas and oil field off the coasts of both nations. Cyprus will soon have the $$$$ it needs to challenge the Turks, who have up until now, had it mostly their own way.

The Israelis have totally neutralised the S-300s as many of the original design teams from Russia are now living in Israel and working for IAI. They also have the S-400s almost sorted out as well. It’s complex and difficult with the S-400s but it’s doable with the right kit…. and the Israelis have definitely got the right kit.

They fact that the Israelis worked for years in Turkey and even built one of the world’s largest tank repair and reconditioning factories for them. Israel never goes someplace without leaving behind trusted co-opts behind within the general population and more importantly inside high tech partners and former partner’s businesses and organisations…… just to keep access open for some future ‘rainy day’!

    @ eaglesoars:
Just sabre rattling by Erdogan. This makes NO tactical sense and absolutely NO Strategic sense.

I did a literal back of the envelop ) actually on the back of an envelop) :), Terrain assessment as part of an Intel Preparation of the Battlefield.

*The Regiment of tanks are sitting on a very thin coastal strip of the North coast of Cyprus with a line of 3000 foot rough limestone mountains immediately to their south. Approaches from the north towards Greek Cyprus are through just two tortuous roads and a few tracks. These are NOT good approaches for armour and would leave then highly exposed

*Once over the North coastal range, what’s left of the Armoured Regiment has to negotiate the reality of an International ‘Trip-wire) force of UN Blue hats that would render Turket persona non grata globally. Then the Turks would have to get engaged in urban warfare in the Capital Nicosia in an unfavourable tank battleground with dodgy resupply having to transit over the northern mountains with vulnerable support and resupply options.

*Immediately after breaking pout of urban warfare the regiment would be faced with a massive strategic problem in the Eastern flank. The Sovereign British territory in front of Larnaca with the coast on the regiment’s left flank and overlooked on the right flank by the Troodos Mountains with Mt Olympus at above 6000 feet.

    * if the regiment or what’s left of it still wants to continue ( it would be fighting the UK by this stage as well plus assorted NATO members. It would be faces with the VERY rough Troodos Rangewith no armoured approaches over it that couldn’t be immediately blocked. That leave the regiment with two choices of either the East or west coast strips that are only extremely narrow and make armoured manoeuvre impossible. They would be sitting ducks for air interdiction.

And finally he has to attack and destroy the soverign British Airforce base at Episkopi Bay and the Akoratime Peninsula in front of Limassol., yet a final urban battle.

Without total air superiority and sea domination Erdogan is restricted to the supplies he has in North Cyprus and major (almost impossible) constraints of resupplying Turkish Forces in the theatre from alternative means. Some Air resupply may get through but mountains will be a major impediment even to that option.

I don’t think Erdogan is totally nuts but if he actually unleashes this force he will lose them or have them captured as they sit awaiting refuelling and resupply.

I call this Bullshit from an back of the envelope Terrain analysis.

yeah, this is a Twisted Sister story if I ever saw one.

Mueller springs the scum for some reason we don’t know, but given the players, we wouldn’t like it if we did.

Then, somehow Mike Cernovich sticks his nose in it and all of a sudden the court orders release of over 2000 case-related documents that had been sealed

And BINGO! Epstein gets pulled in again.

It looks like some prosecutors somewhere know whats in those docs about to be unsealed and there’s a lot of CYA going on. However, this is coming out of SDNY, NOT the Feds that he has the immunity deal from.

so, I dunno. SDNY is living and breathing getting Trump, so I don’t know if that’s part of this play.

    More Ruh Roh:

FBI Risks Public Safety By Losing Track of Foreign Criminal Informants It Brings Into U.S.

Dozens of foreign nationals with shady backgrounds have vanished from the FBI’s radar after the agency brought them to the U.S. to help with investigations. You can’t make this stuff up. The nation’s premier and “intelligence-driven” law enforcement agency can’t keep track of its own informants, who would otherwise not be eligible to enter the country because of their “association with criminal enterprises,” according to a federal audit released this month by the Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General. Keep in mind that the FBI claims to be one of the world’s premier security and crime-fighting forces and its mission is to protect the American people.

Could also be about protecting Obama.

“Getting” Trump and protecting BHO are the two things (interrelated) that drive them to drastic measures.

    @ eaglesoars:

    Just a thought or two…

Hillary Clinton’s personal aid, Huma Abdin’s husband Anthony Weiner got busted for sexting a minor. His laptop was confiscated by the NYPD. That laptop mysteriously disappeared. It was reputed to contain very damaging information regarding the sexual exploitation of minors by numerous powerfully connected individuals and politicians.

That laptop disappeared while in the custody of the FBI.

    @ doriangrey:

I was aware of the suicides, I was NOT aware of the police officers’ connection to the Weiner case. Thanks

The number of people who have suddenly and violently ended up dead with direct connections to criminal investigations involving the Clinton’s long ago exceeded the mathematical limits of probability for mere coincidence.

I put up a blank open in case this one shuts off.

Getting stuff together to go on a hitch, so if anyone has anything else to throw up, please go for it.

This is purely an ‘In Case Of Emergency’ thread.
