Good Morning yinz, I am headed into 8 of 9 days working so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Let’s get to it…Dorian has a guest post here:

…The American media relies on the very US Constitution it seeks to overthrow to protect it even as it undermines the rule of law of which the United States Constitution is the foundation of in the United States. There comes a time when the scared villagers seeing that they will receive no redress of their grievances from the law, collectively make the decision to address those grievances themselves…

AND…a little on the opiate crisis and lawsuits that are working their way through the system.

PLEASE read both entries in full so that you start to get the gist of all this:

According to a lawsuit filed by the Massachusetts attorney general, the company pushed big sales of OxyContin from the start. Doing so meant persuading doctors who had been reluctant to prescribe such strong painkillers that this one was safe.

A court filing asserts that Richard Sackler, then a senior vice president in charge of sales at the company, told the sales force at a launch party for the drug: “The launch of OxyContin Tablets will be followed by a blizzard of prescriptions that will bury the competition. The prescription blizzard will be so deep, dense, and white.”

Along with others in the industry, Purdue paid doctors who attested to the drug’s safety and became a major funder of groups that advocated for pain patients and campaigned to have opioids prescribed.

The Associated Press and the Center for Public Integrity found the industry and groups it funded were also politically active, spending more than $880 million nationally on lobbying and campaigns from 2006 through 2015. That spending helped the industry fight off restrictions on prescribing the powerful painkillers.

The Joint Commission, the bureaucrats who come in and tell you how to run your hospital or you get no Medicare money, are at the ROOT LEVEL of this opiate scourge as they DEMANDED that pain be The 5th Vital sign. I want to know who was taking payoffs over at Joint from the Pharma Companies. Frankly, The Joint has lost pretty much all respect after this from the Medical Community.

EVERYONE in the medical community that the Joint standards were going to cause addiction rates to skyrocket. EVERYONE.

I’m on the wrong end to be objective about an opiate crisis. As a decades long sufferer of chronic pain with life changing diseases, I’ve had to suffer needlessly because doctors are in a bind wrt the laws about painkillers. First it was easy for people to cheat the system. When Ontario originally issued free or mostly free access to medical care, they did not even require a PHOTO ID on the card. A Chinese man who was testing my back 25 years ago, told me the Toronto Chinese community would invite all of their relatives from Hong Kong to come over and get free checkups and medical care because the residents just passed their Health Cards around.

Americans who knew Canadians would do the same, but nobody seemed to monitor the system. You could also go from one doctor to another and get scripts from all of them. Governments are not fit to rule. That’s what Armstrong says is true all over the globe. Everything is about getting elected and staying elected. The ONLY fixes they have to offer are short term. The high levels of Sovereign debt show that it is too easy to just go into debt and stay there. When they hit a debt ceiling, they just raise the roof.

Then the pendulum went swinging to the other extreme. Doctors became Civil Servants here and administrators who were doctors multiplied. Salaries were high and perks were great. Why busy yourself seeing actual patients and hire people who had to spend their time filling out paper work in order to be reimbursed by government? You could sit around in meetings and make increasingly more laws that constrained doctors by being a gov’t functionary.

Nobody wants to be a GP anymore. All the responsibility with fewer rewards. Socialized medicine does. not. work.

Back to painkillers. As the population bulge ages, pain becomes more common. Even crippling pain. I spent YEARS convincing doctors to get codeine. I represent a lot of people who never cheated the medical system. The term ‘quality of life’ elicits a big yawn. Weed doesn’t work for me. My most crippling disease is genetic.

They give drugs to junkies at ‘harm reduction’ sites. My opinion is that these are some of the symptoms of a society in decay. Democrats have gone too far to the extreme left and need to fall apart as a party in order for anything to change. I think they will.

what as going on here in the states was ridiculous. there were millions of dollars being spet to get prescriptions written for oxy.

    it was CRIMINAL.

this has nothing to do with actual chronic, disease driven pain.

    from the second article:

And how about that cozy Joint Commission-National Pharmaceutical Council relationship?

it certainly does demand some heavy investigation.

    this was total corruption.

Point noticed and taken. VERY different medical systems!! No comparison especially these days under the malicious Trudeau. Canada would happily vote for Obama as Prime Minister if it could. We carry private coverage for drugs. The Liberals want to make them free, of course. Because they will do anything to get elected.

But that’s where it will backfire.

I have to ask why and how these people are becoming addicted? If I have a choice between debilitating pain and becoming an addict, I’ll take the addiction and it should be no one else’s business.

I HAVE dealt with one of the most painful conditions known to medicine, trigeminal neuralgia, and yes, I did reach the suicide point. Opioids are not used to treat that, but so what if they are? If you need the meds, you need the meds.

I’m not willing to leave people who suffer from intractable pain on the side of the road.

If I have to stand by and let a woman murder her baby under ‘a decision between a woman and her doctor’, then you bet your ass I’m going to push to give pain sufferers the same choice.

    Change my mind.

    @ eaglesoars:

There’s a Canadian youtuber named “amazing polly” For some reason I can’t cut and paste the vid I want. She is a great researcher into issues surrounding the deep state. Lately she’s been talking about Epstein and his connections to Robert Maxwell and his 3 daughters. Ghislane is the one who was a major procurer of underage girls for Epstein. The other 2 have Software companies that seem to be connected to the major software companies and lesser known ones such as..crowdstrike.

The vid I wanted to post was how much companies like google are involved in the fear creation business. They create algos meant to increase stress. Polly’s theory (with a specific study to back it up) is that FEAR makes people shop, acquire, and generally consume more. A big benefit to e.g. amazon and other large companies.

    Must eat dinner.

I think one can label this as “attempting to influence an election” and should be the subject of congressional and FEC hearings as well as potential FEC fines as this seems to be a “donation in kind” to the democrat party by denying the other party a platform that they freely provide to the democrats.

I posted the following on my blog:

National Socialists shut down free speech. National Socialists confiscated guns. National Socialists were socialists. National Socialists controlled the media. National Socialists blamed the ones they persecuted. National Socialists were pro-abortion. National Socialists destroyed statues. National Socialists rewrote history. National Socialists used violent intimidation. And now, the National Socialists are back in the form of Antifa. The National Socialists were so socialist that they killed communists, leftist infighting I guess.

The German communists (KPD) were told my thier soviet handlers to vote for the NSDAP (nazis) over the other competing (and less hostile) socialist party (SPD). The reasoning was that the nazis were more aligned with communist ideals (which even Hitler mentioned on occassion).

You bet the Aussies are penetrated. BOTH the major parties have VERY dodgy MPs some actually chines and some known to be on the Chinese payroll.

Anne Marie Brady is a serious commentator on China, so much so that the Chinese MSS have targeted her personally by breaking into her University office twice, Her home once and also tampered with her car’s brakes. She is however one ‘mothy lady’ who will not be cowered by the CCP.

She is the bane in the lives of the leftist Progressive ‘luvvies’ both in Oz and also here in NZ. I was supposed to hear her speak last week at the University of Auckland but couldn’t make it. Apparently I missed a real treat especially as her 40 minute lecture was right on the money. She also fielded questions from both the press and assorted Progressives who left feeling that they’d been hit by a 40 ton bulldozer. One of my mates who are part of the bunch who meet on Tuesday afternoon at the Claddah Irish Pub to solve the world’s problems said that she’s the real deal, and has a massive knowledge about what makes China tick.

We are having another mate of mine who has just returned from the US(Florida) and Beijing to talk to us next Tuesday over a Guinness or two about his experiences in both Beijing and Hong Kong ( which recently passed through). He’s a former ‘Red Guard’ who ‘shopped his own parents’ during the Cultural Revolution. He’s since seen the error of his ways and is an implacable foe of the CCP. He visited both his parents in Beijing Father 94 and Mother 92. They were Party members and academics high up in the party hierarchy until they were sent to work in the paddy fields for 2 years. Their opinion of the CCP is rather different the days !

In phase 2, about 113 commercial buildings over 250,000 square feet must achieve the same feat by 2024. Hey The “Vector Institute” though the Russians had another name for it that I can’t remember was located outside Novosibirsk. That’s where our friend Lt.Col Alex Kouzminov did some of his work when wasn’t engaged in nefarious projects with ‘Directorate S’ of the KGB and legit outsourcing ‘phama firms’ on a contract basis.

The State Research Center of Virology and Biotechnology Vector ! That’s right. It had a Russian acronym, and it was the equivalent to the US CDC and Army Bio-warfare facility located at Four Corners …. waaaaay out West for the same reasons that The Vector Institute is located waaaay out East in the middle of Siberia.

Yup that was all part of the agreement on terminating most of the bio-warfare capability at the end of the Cold War. Both sides kept samples of their most virilant pathogens so that they could identify the various strains and also as a resevoir from which to manufacture counters. The Russian Smallpox and Plague pathogens that had been genetically altered to enhance their virulence were particularly nasty … and effective. They were transported via Aeroflot crews to the UK and spread in sealed vails to the 5 Home Counties around London by agents and hidden. No doubt the same thing went on in the US. In Oz Kouzminov actually told me that Sydney’s Garden Island Naval Base was targeted as well because it was a projected reserve base for US operations during WWIII. Everyone assumed it would be Exmouth Gulf but it was right in the centre of Sydney at Garden Island about a mile from the Bridge and Sydney Opera House!

    Horifically NOPE!

    Not all of them.

They lost contact with the agents in the 1990s and some died as the years passed by.

As far as Kouzminov knows the SVR lost contact with many former agents and some had died without disclosing the hiding places.

As far as the Sydney Garden Island dissemination is concerned, all of the locations were scouted by Dept V personnel but the bio-warfare weapons were never installed.

SVR approached the former agents during the 1990s and the vails were recovered intact and transported out of the UK back to Russia for disposal. BUT NOT ALL. Some former agents just disappeared or died and took the knowledge of their hiding places with them.

    Statement from the Press Secretary

At the request of a number of committees of Congress, and for reasons of transparency, the President has directed the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Department of Justice (including the FBI) to provide for the immediate declassification of the following materials: (1) pages 10-12 and 17-34 of the June 2017 application to the FISA court in the matter of Carter W. Page; (2) all FBI reports of interviews with Bruce G. Ohr prepared in connection with the Russia investigation; and (3) all FBI reports of interviews prepared in connection with all Carter Page FISA applications.

In addition, President Donald J. Trump has directed the Department of Justice (including the FBI) to publicly release all text messages relating to the Russia investigation, without redaction, of James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, and Bruce Ohr.

I have no idea what’s going on here

    —————-

For the second straight day, the New York Federal Reserve injected a huge sum of money into the financial system in a bid to calm stress in the overnight lending market.

The Fed on Wednesday poured another $75 billion into the market following a $53 billion rescue by the NY Fed on Tuesday. Overnight lending rates have suddenly spiked, and the Fed is acting to bring them back down to keep markets functioning smoothly.
Until this week, the Fed hadn’t launched an operation like this since 2008.
Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said during a press conference on Wednesday that these steps were “effective in relieving funding pressures.”

A return ticket to NZ where the Rainbow trout are the size of salmon !

When my #1 son was 8 he and his cousin (10 years old) left before breakfast to see what they could catch in the Tongariro river which flows into Lake Taupo in the central North Island. Tiger had a fishing licence but #1 son didn’t and they ‘met’ a fishing inspector around 7:00 with 5 trophy sized rainbows on the bank. It seems that all the Inspector wanted was to get back to his vehicle where he’d left his camera to take a shot of two youngsters aged 8 and 10 with a brace of trout caught in just an hour before breakfast. It appears that he was also the Editor of a Fishing Magazine and was looking for a ‘fishing tale’ to help fill his pages.

When they arrived back in the cabin and told the tale of meeting the fishing inspector I almost freaked out as knew that Ben (#1 son) had no licence. They told the story, much to my relief, and we settled in for some VERY fresh trout for breakfast!

    🙂

    @ eaglesoars:

That 75 billion is the overnight repo rate of banks lending fast liquidity to other banks. It is usually very low, but it spiked to 10% overnight. Lots of theories as to whether this is Quantitative Easing 4 (aka money printing). It’s not a good look for the FED or the financial system. One guy says this is Trump’s plan to weaken the Fed, but that doesn’t work for me. The one I thought sounded plausible was the Saudi oil attack. A lot of big money must have been caught flat footed in oil futures and had margin calls. Or it could be a specific bank that got into trouble and there was contagion.
    No end of possibilities.

We are headed into more volatility. Fasten your seatbelts and get out the popcorn and a beverage. The Department of Justice will be prosecuting various high level traders of gold and silver for the manipulation and price rigging of precious metals…for years. That’s not why the repo rate spiked, but many secrets are being brought out where they can be dealt with. If I may quote Alex Jones, “There’s a war on for your mind.”
