All Hallows Eve 2019 open

by coldwarrior ( 57 Comments › )
Filed under Open thread at October 31st, 2019 - 12:16 pm

It’s Halloween! My girls all want to be painted with Día de Muertos faces (sugar skullz). Well, OK…

I had to consult Yinztube and…BOOM. Halloween is moved to Saturday due to heavy, heavy rain. Yeah, Dorian, heavier than normal.

This should be a hoot trying to do this make-up.

Anyone have anything fun going on?

It’s an open thread.

    @ The Barbarian:
My parents come down for every Halloween. They used to live in this town. Mom takes the girls around to all of her old friends houses and they have a great haul of candy. Dad and I stand on the front porch drink tequila, smoke cigars, have a fire in a fireplace on the corner, and greet the adults with a shot if they would like one.

No hot water for two days in the apartment complex I live in.

Last month we had NO water, hot or cold for four days.

Dan Bongino was interesting today. He is developing a story (with help from others who he acknowledges) that the alleged whistledblower is that guy Ciaracella.(sp?) Bongino claims there are texts between Strozk and Page talking about a guy inside the White House they call ‘Charlie’ who is maybe spying on Trump. Bongino thinks they are referring to Ciariacella who seems to show up connected to Chalupa and Ukraine. It’s complicated. If the FBI was spying on Trump DURING the administration, that very different from the whole campaign collusion.

Bongino is thinking of writing a third book on this entire coup and shredding of the Constitution.

    @ yenta-fada:

So zerohedge says it’s Eric Ciaramella who is the alleged whistleblower, but the Dems don’t want to expose the fact that he worked for VP Biden during Obab, and for SHHIFFTY.

While his attorneys have declined to confirm that the 33-year-old Ciaramella (pronounced char-a-MEL-ah) is the whistleblower, RealClearInvestigations’ Paul Sperry on Wednesday reported that his name has been “raised privately in impeachment depositions,” and is an “open secret inside the Beltway.”

“Everyone knows who he is. CNN knows. The Washington Post knows. The New York Times knows. Congress knows. The White House knows. Even the president knows who he is,” said former CIA analyst and Trump national security adviser Fred Fleitz, who added “They’re hiding him because of his political bias.”

It hasn’t been ‘inside the beltway’ since forever. Greg Rubini had it Oct 17. He’d been booted from the WH over 2 yrs ago because he was suspected of leaking and is now back in Langley. He is a creature of Alexandra Chalupa as is Vindman. The only reason his name wasn’t leaked in triumph by a ‘journalist’ who could yell ‘look what I’ve got’ is because the media whores don’t want to piss off their pimps – excuse me, ‘sources’ – at the CIA.

Also he wants to make sure the audience is taking in the info so he repeats himself. He’d be a different person in a briefing for professionals.

He does Commercials in products he believes in and endorses. So he’s not dependent on youtube censorship to pay his expenses.

On the other hand when I was dragooned into doing my stint as QM, I was very VERY fortunate to have a REALLY experienced RQMS who taught me all the tricks to not get court marshalled and yet ensure that the Store always had what was needed. He enlightened me to the back channel world of RQMSs where stuff required was regularly swapped off book and the odd fire in a vehicle would consume an unbelievable mass of equipment that got written off. We lost a mortar vehicle (‘jeep’)to a bush fire and it was loaded with a truck load of assorted equipment!

    🙂

Still when I gladly handed over the reins of the QM’s job to the next poor junior officer, everything added up and there were no losses.

    HEH!

20 different people and you get 20 different stories. An ex-Secret Service agent & NYPD detective shows a bulldog energy in getting the job done. He’s being an investigative journalist who has to keep his best sources safe. Hardest thing to do is be accurate in real time. The people he opposes lie for a living and have access to money and power. If there’s a book lying around titled “The Truth” I haven’t seen it. He has a place in the fight.

Oh and not to mention their illiterate kids holding back the kids of citizens since they “mainstream” them in classrooms and the teachers have to take an inordinate amount of time to assist them. This is the major reason (other than incompetent teachers kept on salary) that California’s school system is in the toilet.

We have an election next Tues. The top of the news cycle is Fairfax County school board. They’ve come up with a program “One Fairfax” that is nothing but socialist bull (busing kids to increase ‘diversity’, transgenders in locker rooms, etc.) and people actually noticed. Only 30% of the current board have EVER had kids in the county schools, they’re just progressive busybodies and their asses are getting tossed.

We’ve decided we’re moving out of the area as soon as Hubby retires. NoVa used to be a great place, but it’s becoming California. Mark Levin covered it in his opening monologue the other night. The crime rate is right behind Chicago because of sanctuary city policies protecting MS-13.

    We’re gone.

    Employment numbers update.

Legal employment numbers may be up. That means illegal Alien employment is down.

Last winter was bad here for casual employment and by January/February 2019 there was a noticeable decline in numbers of “workers” outside local grocery store. I believe, from what I was told, they went back south.

Now, today at noon there were a lot of “workers” still waiting for “work” An unusual amount. I could take pictures and post them of the men waiting for day work but I am not stupid.

Took me a few years to be accepted into this community. They know me, I know them and they also do not like the MS13 and other gangs taking a hold on this area.

I have been living in this apartment complex for over four years, the first few months were difficult ( 320 apartments and I was the only pink one here… )

Recently things have changed. I DO NOT go out after dark.

Here until April then off I go to Wyoming.

So the dickj**d lawyer for the Weaselblower is threatening journalists about releasing his name. Which means the name being bandied about is probably the correct one. The smart thing would have been for Smirky McMouthpiece to have shut it.

Also, go ahead and file a lawsuit, dirtbag. First the conferring of Whistleblower status will be questioned; second, you’ll have to produce that evidence of credible threats to your client (which I doubt you have) and third – DISCOVERY. Lots and lots of discovery.

The gov’t has replied to Judge Sullivan’s order to answer Sidney Powell’s motion. It doesn’t look like they’ve done a great job. Here’s Margot Cleveland. Here’s just part of her thread

First, the gov’t completely fails to explain how Flynn’s statements were material. They knew what Flynn said from the tapes AND in fact were gloating when Flynn denied it right after the meeting. The gov’t analysis in this regard is completely lacking.

Oddly, in the reply today which included the DOJ providing the FD-302 as “Exhibit 3“, the DOJ provides another FD-302 report with the entry date February 14th, 2017? WTF?
In a letter from prosecutor Van Grack to Judge Sullivan last year he said there was only one edit after the date of entry; and that edit took place in May 2017.

Whoopsie, based on what we just outlined above, it would appear Mr. Van Grack was previously lacking candor with Judge Sullivan

What’s odd is that the discrepancy was noted in Powell’s filing, I believe. That was one of the arguments she gave for the filing, IIRC. Today’s surreply from the gov’t either changes or confuses whether the author of one of the 302s was Strozk of Pientke (sp?) (the one about the blackberry)

I’m really not sure if Van Grack is ‘lacking candor’ or if he’s just not read into the case and has been caught off guard by a corrupt FBI. REading Lee Smith’s book, it was the first thing Kash Patel noticed – nothing about the operation followed by-the-book FBI procedure (Patel is an investigator for Nunes and was a DOJ prosecutor in Manhattan. He knows his way around.)
