We’ll start winging down the week tonight.

Tomorrow, Mrs Coldwarrior and Phoebe the Blog Dog and the kids head to G’Ma and Papap Coldwarrior’s for the weekend. I’ll get there Thanksgiving night as it’s my holiday to work this year.

Have a safe trip. We are in Colorado, riding the storm out (maybe — it’s pretty benign right now)

We’re expected to get traffic here.

I keep hearing about this poor woman who can’t go anywhere on any freeway. Everyday the radio reports that somewhere Elaine is blocked.

  3. 3 | November 26, 2019 12:00 am

Oh, and never buy a Multicar. You can’t get insurance for them, and the traffic reports always report them as being involved in accidents.

It’s not easy making history – a point that Florida Panthers’ Keith Yandle proved Saturday after getting hit in the mouth with a puck. Yandle – who holds the active record for most consecutive games played in the NHL – was struck in the mouth in the first period against the Carolina Hurricanes and left the ice while pulling out nine teeth and spitting blood. But after some quick dental work he was back in action in the third period.

tough guy, tough sport. unlike fagball soccer

Happy Thansgiving Eve , a time of year when turkeys are nervous.
I thought about this. Why did the pilgrims feast on wild turkeys? Think about it, they were on the New England coast
with an ocean full of lobster and crab! That’s what we all should be having tomorrow. Just sayin

Interesting article yesterday unfortunately I read it on my phone and have no idea where it was from. Apparently the impeachment has massively backfired and polling data has shows huge gains for the President across the board. 32% amongst blacks, 38% approval from hispanics. Most common response to questions about impeachment on the survey are that it is only important to the media and the politicians.

The other running thing this week with the press is referring to support for Trump as a “cult”. Been used over a dozen times on different networks. If the general public was sending messages to each other to coordinate attacks on people we’d be in court on conspiracy charges. For the press, it’s just business as usual.

  38. 42 | November 27, 2019 6:29 pm

    @ Deplorable Martian Overlord:
Cult, brainwashed etc. someone wrote a book a few years ago called something like “what’s the matter with Kansas? “. The author didn’t understand why people in many states didn’t vote in “their best interests.“

Why in the hell is it in my “best interest“ to have somebody else have money taken from them?

Heading to work here in a bit. I guess last year, calls were coming about every 30 minutes. We’re a paper free environment since we handle private info like cc and SSN’s, so I can’t take a book to read.

God help us, I rescued yet another cat off the streets last Friday. It turned out she was already fixed (assuming it’s a she). The first few days she wouldn’t let us get anywhere close to her. This morning, she got closer than she had so far and kind of gave half a sniff at my hand.

Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving!

btw, Dan Bongino made a prediction that was interesting and also a sort of pun at the same time. He says the deep state will try to perpetrate another hoax on Trump. They will claim Trump has business interests in Turkey that are causing a conflict in his policies with that nation. So we will see. Same sh!!, different country.
Dan would like to see tangible results from the IG report, but he does not trust the swamp to investigate the swamp. Also says Comey, going back to 2016, has no predicate to spy on Candidate Trump or President Trump. He will try and use alleged info from the CIA as a basis for the FBI investigation. This is conjecture afaik, but he says all of this will show up. We shall see.

That is messing with your biological clock,Yes? Take good care of yourself with this crazy weather. Don’t laugh, but wear very warm hats no matter how silly they look. The ones with the ear flaps. My years in Montreal taught me more than I ever wanted to know about keeping warm. Layers of clothes trap air between them giving you extra insulation. You probably know all this, but these extreme weather bouts lately are nothing to sneeze at. 🙂

“I’m so proud of that,” Ford said of his decision. “I’m proud that we actually saved the taxpayers $790 million when we cancelled those terrible, terrible, terrible wind turbines that really for the last 15 years have destroyed our energy file.”

  60. yenta-fada
    68 | November 28, 2019 7:11 pm

    @ rain of lead:

All of Toronto is non-stop ‘Ford is Hitler’. The more rural parts of Ontario who are actually stuck with these wind farms are glad to see Ford keep election promises.

Teachers want to go out on strike (again). The average high school teacher in Ontario makes $92,000/year not counting the luxury benefits. The benefits are paid 94% by the taxpayer. Same with elementary teachers who make about $10k less. The ‘year’ means 2 full months off in the summer as well as c. 10 days off each for Christmas and March break. Generous sick days off fall under benefits. Plus sabbatical for,I think, high school teachers. UNIONS. Still not good enough. Teachers hate Ford for wanting to cut classroom assistants, layers of administrative paper pushers, and teachers in areas where schools are facing dwindling population.
