He doesn’t say it outright, but John Solomon has the IG report. It’s a whitewash

The report is expected to conclude the FBI’s decision to open a counterintelligence probe of the Trump campaign’s possible ties to Russia in 2016 was adequately predicated but that its subsequent reliance on the so-called Steele dossier and execution of FISA warrants to assist the probe were problematic.

It wasn’t adequately predicated, and lying to a FISA court is NOT ‘problematic’.

Anybody surprised that the deep state is covering for the deep state? Nothing is going to come of this until We the People do something about it. Not sure what that is going to need to be, but we are in serious jeopardy of losing what remains of our freedoms.

    Mark Meadows, 10 mins ago

I just got out of a nearly 2 hour briefing on the IG report.

It is deeply disturbing. Some former FBI and DOJ officials are about to have some serious explaining to do.

    More details to come shortly.

Devin Nunes is saying the report vindicates the Republicans’ report and shows the FISA abuse was even worse than they thought.

    @ eaglesoars:

I heard an excerpt from one of Jerry No-Nads many appearances on the TV Sunday shows yesterday. He keeps using the phrase “incontrovertable evidence.” Last time I checked, the Republicans and the President have been unable to call any of their witnesses to this Carnival Sideshow. No-Nads was asked about Republican witnesses and his response was “I didn’t consider them relevant.” As if somehow his word on the subject is final.

Note to No-Nads – in a proceeding, it’s the JUDGE who determines what is relevant to the matter at hand – NOT the opposing party. What you idiots really don’t get is that when you lose control of the evidence and the other side is allowed to present an actual case, one of the questions every single one of them should be asked is “Was Chairman Schiff/Nadler aware that you had this information during the time of the inquiry?”

Barr plays ‘fuck you AGAIN’ hardball

WASHINGTON — Attorney General William P. Barr recently approved making public new details about a former F.B.I. informant at the heart of conservatives’ allegations about the Russia investigation, deciding to release information that had been blacked out in a highly anticipated inspector general’s report due out on Monday.

A representative from the office of the Justice Department inspector general, Michael E. Horowitz, told the former F.B.I. informant, Christopher Steele, on Sunday that the Justice Department had decided to allow for the release of the information, two people briefed on the situation said late on Sunday.
    .
    .
    .
The notice to Mr. Steele on the eve of the report’s release was highly unusual. Like the other witnesses interviewed for the inspector general’s report, Mr. Steele had earlier reviewed the findings that are pertinent to him, and he was given a chance to comment on them. In this case, Mr. Horowitz’s office did not detail for him the additional information and gave him no opportunity to respond for the report to be released on Monday.

    oh good, you’re here.

I’m noticing a pattern. Horowitz report on the Clinton investigation let everybody walk because even tho what they did is ‘wrong’, they had no illegal INTENT

Nadler’s impeachment report says that Trump did not have to ACTUALLY break the law, he had INTENT to break the law at some point even if he never did, so that’s enough.

    This is thought crime tyranny.

And I want every last one of them in exile.

Looks like the latest preachy Hollywood movie is another box office bomb. Mark Ruffalo was all about how evil capitalism is in a Tweet. People agreed. That movie “Dark Waters” has grossed $5 million in 17 days. Dude, if people haven’t gone to see it by now, they aren’t going. Meanwhile other movies released the same time have grosses of over $63,000,000 – and don’t even get me started on “Frozen II.”

You don’t insult 50% of the nation and somehow think that you are going to do Boffo Box Office. Especially during the Christmas Shopping Season.

I for one am looking forward to seeing “Richard Jewell.” Because it kicks the FBI and the MSM in the ass, but also because it’s Clint Eastwood!

This really is damning. Yeah, there was adequate predicate, etc., but the bar for that is really low, we recommend…

Basically, Horowitz has kept this tight. He doesn’t draw conclusions when there’s an absence of evidence, but when the policy that’s followed results in this dog’s breakfast, the policy sucks, change it.

Durham seems to agree. He has issued a statement

Statement of U.S. Attorney John H. Durham

“I have the utmost respect for the mission of the Office of Inspector General and the comprehensive work that went into the report prepared by Mr. Horowitz and his staff. However, our investigation is not limited to developing information from within component parts of the Justice Department. Our investigation has included developing information from other persons and entities, both in the U.S. and outside of the U.S. Based on the evidence collected to date, and while our investigation is ongoing, last month we advised the Inspector General that we do not agree with some of the report’s conclusions as to predication and how the FBI case was opened.”

    This just out from Barr

The Inspector General’s report now makes clear that the FBI launched an intrusive investigation of a U.S. presidential campaign on the thinnest of suspicions that, in my view, were insufficient to justify the steps taken. It is also clear that, from its inception, the evidence produced by the investigation was consistently exculpatory. Nevertheless, the investigation and surveillance was pushed forward for the duration of the campaign and deep into President Trump’s administration. In the rush to obtain and maintain FISA surveillance of Trump campaign associates, FBI officials misled the FISA court, omitted critical exculpatory facts from their filings, and suppressed or ignored information negating the reliability of their principal source. The Inspector General found the explanations given for these actions unsatisfactory. While most of the misconduct identified by the Inspector General was committed in 2016 and 2017 by a small group of now-former FBI officials, the malfeasance and misfeasance detailed in the Inspector General’s report reflects a clear abuse of the FISA process.

    Latest from White Island….

Death toll is now confirmed as 8 as some of the critically burned have succumbed. Some of the missing 5 tourists ( many of them Australians on a SW Pacific cruise), and guides were photographed as a group walking along a 2 Km long track leading up to the steaming caldera just a minute and a half before the ground rose up under their feet and the helicopter cameraman lost sight of them as the whole caldera erupted. The second helicopter that had lifted them in close to the caldera remains on the island shore in the ash field.

Ovation of the Seas remains berthed in the Port of Tauranga, It appears that one crew members is among the missing and most of the tourists missing are Australians with Kiwi guides. There are confirmed 31 evacuated, some of whom are in serious condition with impact and burn injuries. Rescue helicopters arrived back on the island at first light and evacuated a large group of stranded and injured tourists.

The air and ground search is ones we speak in the ash field for the final 5 missing but given the devastation of the caldera region the hopes for their survival is remote.

The island was registering Level #2 seismic activity with a few short term spikes to Level #3 just 2 days ago. That suddenly jumped from Seismic Level #2 to Level #4 moments before the eruption. A Level #4 warning is ‘about to erupt’. Level #5 means that an eruption is under way. The change was so rapid that there was no time to evacuate.

The Seismic Monitors are still working and the Island is registering Level #3 with spikes to Level #4 seismic activity as new minor eruptions happen,

Jeremy Corbyn has pledged to dramatically expand the role of the state and boost public spending to levels not seen in a generation if voters send him to Downing Street on December 12.

On Labour’s policy wish list: nationalizing major utilities, a 32-hour work week, giving 10% of shares in large companies to workers, increasing the power of unions, freezing the retirement age at 66 and building out public housing stock on a large scale. The party has pledged to finance higher spending with big tax hikes for corporations and Britain’s wealthiest 5%. Borrowing to fund investment would reach £55 billion ($72.4 billion) annually by fiscal year 2023.
The overhaul would unfold at breakneck pace. Labour said Monday that it would begin the process of nationalizing water and energy companies within 100 days of taking office.

Nope. Wrong type of volcano although you can never really tell as the whole island could theoretically just blow apart.

Of the 31 survivors in hospitals 27 have serious burns to more than 30% of their bodies. Mostly sulphur burns. One of the young female guides got her small party to shelter beneath borders and then covered their bodies with her own body. Her back sustained 90% burns but overall her total burns add up to 45% and she will probably survive. She is one gutsy young woman!

There is a 50% chance of an eruption on the same scale or less within the next 24 hours.Helicopter surveys have identified 6 suspected bodies in the ash field our of the remaining 8 still listed as missing. The levels of lethal gasses and the heat of the ash preclude survival.

There were 9 US citizens amongst the 47 who were listed as being on the island when the eruption occurred.

What the hell happened to BRIBERY? They had three partisan hacks squawking about bribery last week and it’s not a count. If there’s no high crime or misdemeanor, where the HELL is the “abuse of power”?

And how the hell is challenging a Congressional subpoena “obstruction?” If that’s what constitutes obstruction, every lawyer is going to file a sanctions and compel motion every time a “motion to quash subpoena” lands on his/her desk.

And Congress critter that votes for this should be removed from office. This is beyond ridiculous.

ok, i just did the ear test for amazon HD….

i usually dont go for hype. so here’s what i did.

the audio system is Mitsubishi DA-A-10 amp with DA-P10 preamp that was recently rebuilt into 4 B&O redlines.

for headphones, Beyer Dynamic 770s (@250 ohm) driven by a Schitt Valhalla2 with russian tubes.

comparison was Steely Dan either form the U Turn Audio turntable with a Grado gold cartridge or Amazon HD audio (FLAC lossless.

Amazon failed in headphones and amp/speaker to top vinyl.

That said, it was a schitt ton closer than i thought it would be. Holy Cow!

PLA agents have infiltrated the ranks of the demonstrators with agents provocateurs aplenty. Two bombs found by the HK Police was a set up!

The Australians and Americans have sent 120 square metres of human skin to assist in the treatment of the 28 critically ill burns victims of the White Island eruption. Two victims have 90% burns as well as lung damage and are not expected to survive. Another 20 have life threatening burns and seven or so have 30% burns. A couple of dozen have burns to their breathing ways and lung tissue and are in really serious trouble.

Wiser heads have prevailed and the bodies of the missing will remain on the island until the threat level decreases below Level #2. Drone surveillance will continue over the island and geodesic monitoring will watch for any drop in activity that will allow a landing.

The deep burns and that is the vast majority have lost all or most of the nerves in their dermis which is in itself a blessing. They are fighting infection but lung damage is a serious threat and breathing ways swell blister and supplicate which impairs breathing.
