It is all political theatre. Do NOT believe every thing you read in the MSM. The NSW Premier rejected further help from thr Morrison Federal Government. The Navy just evacuated a LOT of tourists trapped on the SE coast to a helicopter carrier.
Morrison keeps offering help but it is a State responsibility to ask first. The Feds just. Can not waltz in.

It is – I think – common knowledge that Obama’s Oval Office hours were rather lackadaisical. Most of the time he never made it in until 10 am or so. Why do you think that is? Could it possibly be because he was hungover? Why yes it could! When I mentioned the teleprompter, I got, “well yeah, most of the time he could actually see it”

Report: Obama Administration Stopped Israel From Assassinating Soleimani in 2015

When President Donald Trump gave the order to kill Iran’s Quds Force leader Qasem Soleimani, he not only made an arguably proportionate response to the invasion of the U.S. Embassy this week but he also reversed a policy of the Obama administration. According to a report from 2018, Israel was “on the verge” of assassinating Soleimani in 2015, but Obama’s officials foiled the plan. In fact, they reached out to Iran with news of Israel’s plans.

The Trump administration, on the other hand, gave Israel a green light to assassinate Soleimani, according to a January 1, 2018 report from the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida. The paper quoted a source in Jerusalem as saying that “there is an American-Israeli agreement” that Soleimani is a “threat to the two countries’ interests in the region.” According to Haaretz, Al-Jarida is generally assumed to be a platform for the Israeli government to disseminate its message to other Middle Eastern governments.

U.S. to send 3,000 troops to Middle East after embassy attack, Soleimani killing

The soldiers will join roughly 650 others already deployed to the region and stay there for some 60 days, officials said.

The United States is sending approximately 3,000 soldiers to the Middle East after thousands of people stormed the compound of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, three U.S. defense officials and one U.S. military official confirmed to NBC News on Friday.

The news came hours after an American airstrike killed Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the commander of Iran’s secretive Quds Force and one of the country’s most powerful figures, but U.S. defense officials said the deployments were not in response to the strike.

The deployment of additional soldiers from a brigade of the 82nd Airborne Division, based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, comes after thousands of people, most of them affiliated with the Iran-backed Shiite militia group Kataeb Hezbollah, descended on the embassy compound Tuesday.

The soldiers will join roughly 650 others already deployed to the region and stay there for some 60 days, the officials said. The immediate response force will be spread throughout the region, with some soldiers in Iraq and others in Kuwait.

“As previously announced, the Immediate Response Force (IRF) brigade of the 82nd Airborne Division was alerted to prepare for deployment, and are now being deployed,” the Pentagon said in a statement.

“The brigade will deploy to Kuwait as an appropriate and precautionary action in response to increased threat levels against U.S. personnel and facilities, and will assist in reconstituting the reserve.”

The Democratic Party has become completely unhinged.

I don’t remember anybody on the right complaining after Osama bin Laden was killed during the Obama administration. I don’t remember any conservatives worrying about an increase in terror attacks.

Yet numerous Democrats are throwing fits over the death of Soleimani. Trump actually has the liberals defending a terrorist.

Not only that, the left is upset that a shooter at church was taken out by armed guards, and that other people in the church were armed as well.

I would hope and pray that the American people aren’t naïve enough to listen to the idiotic rhetoric coming from the left.

Looks like Salvation from Sundown, the up-and-coming Texas blues band fronted by high school students Reece Malone and Kelsi Kee are getting some big time recognition. I missed it at the time, but they got to play at this year’s Crossroads Guitar Festival. Not on the main stage, but still…

    @ lobo91:

they look like they’re 12 but they sure don’t sound like it

Reece and Kelsi are both 15, I think.

They’re proteges of Texas blues guitarist Lance Lopez, who also helped Ally Venable get her start.

    @ lobo91:

well, that’s frightening. It’s a good thing I was born with zero talent for anything, I don’t have the character to deal with the spotlight that these kids are about to face.

    bedtime, see ya!

I just discovered that Ally Venable and Samantha Fish are playing shows on consecutive nights in Denver next month.

    Road trip!

I’m looking forward to seeing both of them in headlining sets, and not in the blazing sun (or a downpour, the first time I saw Ally).

I’m really looking forward to seeing Samantha’s current show. She only played two songs off the new album when I saw her in Flagstaff back in June.
