    Good morning!

32 years ago today, the nation was rocked by the terrorist plot underway at Nakatomi Plaza.

Thanks to the bravery of Officer John McClane and Sgt Al Powell, the terrorists were stopped and we celebrate their story every Christmas.

Also, it is Mia Gabrielle’s (aka Psycho Puppy’s) 3rd birthday.

Western New York gym owner Robbie Dinero won a court victory over the state of New York that will allow him to open his gym at full capacity. State Supreme Court Judge Paul B. Wojtaszek allowed the gym to open at full capacity. The judge said there was a “right to normalcy” and he threw out the state’s 25% capacity limit. Owner Robbie Dinero was naturally thrilled with the outcome,

Interesting seeing all the misdirection going on with the covid relief bill. When all they really have to do is have a one pager for $2,000 only passed by both houses and signed by POTUS on Christmas.

There’s nothing quite like the smell of the outdoors, especially when you’ve been dealing with gunpowder, sitting around a campfire, drinking whiskey. Now, that of course sounds like deadly combination, but that’s also kind of the point. To live dangerously, to live like a cowboy! If you’d rather live in your McMansion, listening to Kenny G on your Amazon Echo in the bathtub, while lathering your skin with essential oils, you may need this manly soap substitute.

    @ Bunk X:

Had ’em all. I missed him at Woodstock – traffic was at a standstill, but I did get to see him/ Mountain in the early 70s at a small, club sized place.
    Great show.
The first time I heard ‘Nantucket Sleighride’ I remember commenting to a friend that leslies guitar conjured up the image in my head of a trashing whale out at sea, a dark sad image. I had no clue what a ‘Nantucket Sleighride was back then, we didn’t have Google. Sometime later I looked it up at the local library
and was both pleasantly surprised and amazed – this dude had me seeing and hearing this whale with his guitar !
The one question I never got an answer to was what came first ? A need for the sound of a whale to fit the songs lyrics or was it that he played the licks and someone told him that it sounded like a thrashing po’d whale so they built the song around it ?
I mean whale hunting off Nantucket isn’t exactly a typical R/R theme, ya know ? If it was the former, the higher the genius. In either case a great tune.

    Police confirm

  46. eaglesoars
    46 | December 25, 2020 1:20 pm

Ok. The cops get a 15 minute heads up, the RV broadcasts a recording telling people to evac, and it detonates at 6:30 am when almost nobody is around.

    What is the point?

It’s an introductory msg. So law enforcement will pay attention to them the NEXT time they call – using a code they probably gave the cops during the phone call – and the next time they call, they will have demands.

    Are you fucking kidding me?

“AT&T’s Project Atmosphere was unveiled Tuesday by the Daily Beast to be secretly selling customer data to law enforcement agencies for the purpose of investigating everything from murder to medical fraud.

In the 10 years I worked in telecom, I pulled data for law enforcement maybe 20 times and there was ALWAYS a legal doc that my mgmt had cleared first. NEVER was anything ‘sold’.

I’m guessing that LE figured out they couldn’t get a warrant so went dirty. When I was at USA Today, I got called into my boss’s office to meet 2 very nice FBI agents investigating the Atlanta Olympic bombings and was told to help them out. But FIRST I was shown legal docs that said they had the right to see any of the data they would be asking for.

The NSA considers AT&T to be one of its most trusted partners and has lauded the company’s “extreme willingness to help.” It is a collaboration that dates back decades. Little known, however, is that its scope is not restricted to AT&T’s customers. According to the NSA’s documents, it values AT&T not only because it “has access to information that transits the nation,” but also because it maintains unique relationships with other phone and internet providers. The NSA exploits these relationships for surveillance purposes, commandeering AT&T’s massive infrastructure and using it as a platform to covertly tap into communications processed by other companies.

    Commenter Kutsen at Instapundit

Just over a year ago, shortly after the impeachment inquiry ended in December of 2019, the Tennessee Star (among others) reported that Adam Schiff “managed to get AT&T and Verizon to cooperate with a Congressional subpoena to provide phone records of President Donald Trump’s personal attorneys Rudy Giuliani and Jay Sekulow, U.S. Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), the ranking member of the committee for Republicans, and journalist John Solomon.”

This seemed to be the working assumption at the time, that the phone records were obtained via subpoena, yet Adam Schiff and the House Intel committee told the Daily Beast point-blank that they did not subpoena those phone records. They confidently repeated this, and, for once, there was little reason to doubt them, simply because a congressional subpoena would leave a paper trail.

IF, though, as Newseek’s Cuthbertson wrote in 2016, AT&T was “secretly selling customer data to law enforcement agencies” rather than turning over the data on when forced to in order to comply with warrants, that might explain how the detailed call record data for, among others, ‘enemy’ reporter Soloman and Trump’s lawyer, got into the possession of Adam Schiff and other Democrats on the House Intel Committee without the need of a warrant.

If Schiff managed to obtain the private phone record data of a reporter and the presidents’ lawyer without a warrant because someone else bought those private customer records from AT&T, the question of course is *who*, or which putative law enforcement agency, bought that data from AT&T?

However, a second property at a different address on Bakertown Road also was quit claimed to Swing. First, the property belonged to Warner’s parents. It was quit claimed to his brother, and then to Anthony Q. Warner, who quit claimed it to Swing. See the second record here. In March 2019, Swing quit claimed the property to a woman named Betty Lane.

The bomber has recent odd history of quit claiming his real estate to a woman in California. She denied it but she received a previous property from him and quit claimed it to another woman.

He had a drug felony long ago and currently had his one IT company installing alarm systems it looks like.

I’d say the woman was his love interest at some time. And ATT screwed him over in some manner.

    From re nashville.

Caught on camera, you can see an officer talking to David Malloy, potentially saving him and his dog from harm.

“The officer was in the middle of the road on 2nd Avenue, walking towards me telling me to evacuate, when I said, ‘why do I need to evacuate’ and then boom, the bomb went off,” recalled Malloy.”
