It’s an open. You know what to do…

Comments

Comments and respectful debate are both welcome and encouraged.

Comments are the sole opinion of the comment writer, just as each thread posted is the sole opinion or post idea of the administrator that posted it or of the readers that have written guest posts for the Blogmocracy.

Obscene, abusive, or annoying remarks may be deleted or moved to spam for admin review, but the fact that particular comments remain on the site in no way constitutes an endorsement of their content by any other commenter or the admins of this Blogmocracy.

We're not easily offended and don't want people to think they have to walk on eggshells around here (like at another place that shall remain nameless) but of course, there is a limit to everything.

Play nice!

If whoever’s behind this bombing ever said anything nice about trump it will be a headline news for years. If you ever said anything positive about Democrats, it will be buried immediately.

Isn’t this the ONLY ‘terrorist’ / mass shooting event reported in all of Trumps term of office ? I was just waiting until January 1st to point out that there wasn’t a single attack or mass shooting reported since 01/21/17. Then this knuckle head comes along and, well, hey its still 2020, what did I expect ?

No, I’m not so nutty (yet) as to believe the ‘new year’ changes a damn thing or makes a bit o difference as to life’s events but just thought I’d point out the ‘Trump’ angle.
Imagine if this had been part of Obamas legacy ? ‘The second coming !!’.

    @ 4_Sticks:

Now THAT is weird ! I know to push ‘Enter’ only ONCE here and I assure you it was the case with the above post too – one time. I also know that mistakes like this do not happen with modern, digital tech /code, right?

    @ 4_Sticks:

It shouldn’t let you make two identical posts, anyway. You would normally get an error message that says something like “Looks like you already said that”

  7. 4_Sticks
    7 | December 27, 2020 12:55 pm

I’m the guy at the elevator who admonishes “You’ve pushed the button once, now forget about it”. Yeah, THAT guy.

I guess keyboards are part old school analog (the keys) so maybe, at long last, its all those coffee spills (yes, I still require sugar) taking its toll on this crusty ol’ ‘logitech’.

I think I recall sometime last week having a spelling error when i typed the name Jimi Hendrix. I would never spell his name with two ‘m’s, I know better after 50 years of familiarity with his name change.
I’m gonna start worrying though if I see its associated with ‘Alzheimer’s’:

    – Forgetfulness
    – Double taps on the keyboard
    – A propetency for going on too long in his/her posts

DEVELOPING STORY: The Wilson County Sheriff’s Department, the Tennessee Highway Patrol and the FBI are on the scene of a suspicious white box truck in Lebanon – a town near Nashville.

Television station WKRN reports the box truck is “playing audio similar to what was heard before the Christmas Day explosion in Nashville.”

The television station reports via Twitter that one person has been detained. Watch live coverage from WSMV below.

“We keep hearing about how we should follow the science,” Tucker added. “The claim is tired by now. We know what’s really happening.”

He closed his commentary with the question: “With solid evidence that asymptomatic spread is nonsense, we have to ask: Who is making decisions and why?”

“Why” is to usher in the “great reset”

Anthony Quinn Warner, the person of interest in the Nashville Christmas Day bombing, died at the scene, and his DNA was found at the site of the explosion, according to a U.S. attorney and an FBI official.

U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee Don Cochran said on Sunday in a press conference that Warner, 63, parked a vehicle on a street in downtown Nashville on Dec. 25 before allegedly broadcasting a warning before the explosion.

Cochran stated that Warner “is the bomber,” and “he was present when the bomb went off,” adding that he “perished in the bombing.”

IMO the Wuhan lab has WHO/Gates connections. The Chinese military would like to create a covid like virus that only Chinese were immune to. The COVID labs proletariat sold their bats to the wet market to make a little extra yuan. Your basic Chinese laborer thinks they can eat anything under the sun. And they are proud of it. They ate grass to help Mao win. Chinese doesn’t care one iota if they pollute or screw up the rest of the world.

Possibly true although the truth is probably a bit more complex. The Bats used in the trials at the Wuhan Labs were different to the bats in the West market!

During the Cultural Revolution survivors of the great famine ate anything including careless strangers and their own babies. When Mao died those with a taste for the exotic flaunted their new wealth by continuing to buy exotic animals for their tables as a way to show off their superior status. Crazy, degenerate but true.

As far as Chinese society is concerned the civilisation lost something during the Cultural Revolution. That is family solidarity. The One Child Policy only bedded that further degeneration of culture. China is now a failed state just waiting for the other shoe to drop as demographics catches up with it’s collective sins. The only chance for China is rapid automation as their population dissolves and the country runs out of workers and the old fail to get fiscal support in their dotage and begin to die in large numbers. Whether Xi can spread automation and AI fast enough to stop this demographic catastrophe is moot.China’s time as the centre of massed production is passing swiftly as cheaper younger workers appear in Vietnam, Indonesia and some parts of Africa and South America.

    @ darkwords:
China’s growing degeneracy that emerged from its Cultural Revolution is a warning to the evolving US Cultural Revolution. Uf the US heads down that blind alley as China did it will end up as China has done, facing its termination as a great power as it too collapses in on itself, rotten to the core.

It has happened so many times in the past to so many great civilisations who lost the will to evolve and degenerated as their cultural supports fell away and their degeneracy exploded.

    @ rain of lead:

We experienced that locally for the better part of a day last year, when a car managed to crash into the wrong utility pole and take down all the phone and internet service for most of the town I live in–including the prison.

Most of the local retailers, restaurants, gas stations, etc. couldn’t process card payments. and of course the ATMs didn’t work, either.

    This is dated Dec 18

During a long interview with Wall Street Journal editorial board member Kimberly Strassel, Attorney General Bill Barr dropped a bombshell that he and Special Counsel John Durham have concluded that the nation’s top spy agency did not violate the law or act outside its purview in the Russia collusion probe of Trump.

Durham? Who the fuck is Durham?

The biggest news from Mr. Durham’s probe is what he has ruled out. Mr. Barr was initially suspicious that agents had been spying on the Trump campaign before the official July 2016 start date of Crossfire Hurricane, and that the Central Intelligence Agency or foreign intelligence had played a role. But even prior to naming Mr. Durham special counsel, Mr. Barr had come to the conclusion that he didn’t “see any sign of improper CIA activity” or “foreign government activity before July 2016,” he says. “The CIA stayed in its lane.”

Look what they did here. There is no ‘news’ from the Durham probe. W/O an investigation, Barr did not come to any conclusion, all he said was that he saw no sign.

Barr wholesale dismissal of any CIA misconduct was preceded by the Durham team’s announcement back in August that Brennan was not a target of the probe.

    August.

    Bite me.

Not that I expect anything from Durham except to note that ‘Brennan’ is not the CIA. He headed it up for awhile but there are long time agents who know full well that Directors come and go.

So now we know what the Durham report will look like if Biden gets in. And if he doesn’t, there will be no Durham report.

I’ve become so cynical, I’m actually bored by anything that’s supposedly going on.

Frankly, I’m at the point of giving up. There is nothing but bad news out there, no bright spots. No outrage over a stolen election, just cheering by those who supported the thief. I’m afraid our Republic is over; if you can’t have fair elections, it’s no longer anything other than a banana republic writ large.

As soon as you understand how that test works, the only question is why the false positive percentage isn’t a lot higher than it is. I don’t know what a good test would look like but replication of the DNA isn’t it.

While solar panels would struggle to heat larger homes, this isn’t an issue for the tiny homes, so long as you’re content living in a box.

“The use of rooftop solar panels to generate power and the replacement of propane heating with a heat pump run by those solar panels is likely to become the standard in many states for manufactured homes,” he adds. “They will gravitate toward all-electric mobile homes because propane is a significant factor in the threat of fires to mobile home parks.”

Social engineers are pushing tiny 200-sq-ft Ikea houses as the solution to climate change in another example of how our living standards are set to be lowered.

In an article entitled ‘Ikea tiny homes can help fight climate change by giving small footprints a big toehold’, Carl Pope, former head of the Sierra Club, gushes over the micro-homes (basically trailers) that sell for $47,550.

“Housing is an important source of climate pollution — directly responsible for about 5 percent of greenhouse gas emissions in the United States plus their electricity. Given Ikea’s emphasis on recycled and reusable materials, the company seems likely to accelerate some important shifts in the housing market. Ikea will also almost certainly take advantage of what it learns in the “tiny” segment of the building market to establish a foothold in the broader, potentially highly green, manufactured building space,” writes Pope.

“When utopia is achieved, we will be forced to live in tiny playhouses — for our own good, because living in a rabbit hutch will improve the weather,” writes Dave Blount.

“Winter could mean praying for sunny weather so that the heat comes on. That way we will be cozy and snug when we are placed under house arrest the next time a virus comes around.”

    Shoot these fuckers now.

Propane as a significant threat of fire seems more like a convenient scare tactic. Matches are just as threatening. Candles are probably worse. Solar battery dies. Homeowners lights up the candles. Solar dreams go up in smoke.

My gut feel on tiny houses is why not stack them? That would be more woke and efficient. Maybe give the concept a catchy woke name like “Apartment building”?
