A tragic death most weren’t aware of…

Please join me in remembering a great ICON of the entertainment community.

The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71. The Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours.

Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Born and bread in Minnesota, Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, he still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions.

Doughboy is survived by his wife, Play Dough, and three children: John Dough, Jane Dough and Dosey Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart. The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

That’s a harp guitar, folks, played by Andy McKee. This is the same Larson-Dyer Type II model that I learned on – it was my great grandfather’s – and I still have it. It’s got a wide fretboard with 6 strings and 6 free bass strings above, hence the “harp” moniker. (One mustelabrain erroneously described it as a “mutant harp/guitar.”)

I’d never heard one played properly until I saw this video, same guy, same song, but with a commercial advert, and we ain’t gonna post no damn adverts here on

The libs can lie all they want. But some of us know the truth! Wouldn’t you love to have this man as President? Or if not, Vice President? Or Speaker of the House? Of course, don’t expect to see this on any channel of the Obama-loving media…

Germany Schaefer stole first base. On Aug. 4, 1911, playing for the Washington Senators, Schaefer stole second base conventionally, hoping to draw a throw from the catcher so a teammate could steal home. The catcher didn’t throw, so on the next pitch Schaefer ran back to first.

That was legal at the time, but rule 7.08i now forbids a player to run the bases in reverse order “for the purpose of confusing the defense or making a travesty of the game.”
