A moment of ACTUAL hope.

Glenn Beck is doing something that I think should get much more attention than it is.  Understanding that many folks are not looking too hopefully into President Obama’s “Hope for Change,” and recognizing the feelings of impotance with regard to an ever more corrupt and ever more increasing government, he has started up something called “We Surround Them.”

I find myself being such as person as he describes.  I see where our nation is going and I see no hope of stopping it.  The last hope was the Republican party which, with only a few exceptions, is content being just as corrupt and useless as the Democrats (moreso, at least the democrats pass bills in line with their party’s beliefs… the Republicans kept passing bills in line with the Democrats’ beliefs out of a sense of ‘working together.’)

I suggest we wholly listen to and be a part of this movement.  Not as a site or a blog, but as individuals part of something greater.

Here is his list of 9 Principles:

1. America is good.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

Mr Beck, I salute you.

Comments are the sole opinion of the comment writer, just as each thread posted is the sole opinion or post idea of the administrator that posted it or of the readers that have written guest posts for the Blogmocracy.

Obscene, abusive, or annoying remarks may be deleted or moved to spam for admin review, but the fact that particular comments remain on the site in no way constitutes an endorsement of their content by any other commenter or the admins of this Blogmocracy.

We're not easily offended and don't want people to think they have to walk on eggshells around here (like at another place that shall remain nameless) but of course, there is a limit to everything.

Play nice!
