The first night with the dogs was a bit on the rough side. The cats are downstairs, so we didn’t have any problems there once we got the feline members of the family moved.

What was rough was the 1:30 and the 4:30 AM wake up calls by the dogs needing out.

Bailey, the blue heeler mix, is older, and I think we’ll be a little more laid-back. The rat terrier, Ivy, is extremely sweet and is curled up asleep by me right now. We will see how things go as the dogs get settled in.

Bailey’s used to being crated, so we’re going to bring a large carrier down and see if that works for her. If she’s created, Ivy might settle down too.

First vet appointment is Monday, and I know our vet’s staff is going to start laughing.

In 2018, a farmer was attempting to park his car underneath an olive tree when suddenly the ground beneath him began to sink. The farmer pulled his car out from under the tree and noticed that a huge hole which measured around 4ft wide had opened up where his car had been sitting. When he peeked into the hole, the farmer knew he had stumbled upon something special. He called the local heritage ministry, Lassithi Ephorate of Antiquities, to investigate.

A single intercourse with one of the virgins of paradise will last seventy thousand years.

Islam’s obsession with virgins in paradise isn’t just a minor detail, it’s a central, driving force in its theology of rewards.

The Islamic afterlife isn’t about communion with God, spiritual enlightenment, or divine wisdom, it’s a carnal, male-centered fantasy of unlimited sexual gratification.

Islamic texts describe these women as perpetual virgins, untouched, and designed solely for the pleasure of men.

“Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation. And made them virgins, devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age.” (Quran 56:35-37)

“Fair ones reserved in pavilions. Untouched before by any man or jinn.” (Quran 55:72-74)

Hadith collections affirm that after every act of intercourse, these “virgins” miraculously return to a state of virginity so the process can be repeated endlessly.

These heavenly beings are not just virgins, they are physically exaggerated to fulfill male fantasies:

Large, round breasts:“Indeed, for the pious there is a triumph… full-breasted companions of equal age.” (Quran 78:31-33)

The Arabic term kawa‘ib in 78:33 literally means “firm, swelling breasts.”

Big, lustrous eyes:“They will have maidens with intensely white skin and large black eyes, as if they were hidden pearls.” (Quran 52:20)

Glowing, hairless, smooth skin:“If one of the women of paradise were to appear to the people of the earth, she would fill the space between heaven and earth with light and fragrance.” (Tirmidhi, 2538)

Muhammad explicitly stated that men in paradise will have endless sexual stamina, never experiencing fatigue.

The virgins, in turn, never get tired, never say no, and are always ready for intercourse.

The Prophet was asked, “O Messenger of Allah, do we have sexual intercourse in Paradise?” He replied: “Yes, by the One in Whose Hand is my soul, a man will have sexual intercourse with a hundred virgins in one morning.” (Ibn Majah, 4337)

Another hadith states that men will be given the strength of 100 men in sexual performance. (Tirmidhi, 2536)

According to Al-Suyuti, a famous Islamic scholar:

“The believer will be given such and such strength in paradise for intercourse… A single intercourse with one of the virgins of paradise will last seventy thousand years.” (Al-Suyuti, Al-Haba’ik fi Akhbar al-Mala’ik)

These “virgins” don’t need to poop, pee, or sweat, they exist for one purpose: eternal male pleasure.

“They will neither urinate, defecate, nor suffer from phlegm or mucus. Their sweat will be musk.” (Muslim, 2834)

“They will be hairless except for their eyebrows and eyelashes.” (Tirmidhi, 2536)

A believer doesn’t get just one virgin, he gets dozens, or even hundreds.

“A martyr will have 72 virgins.” (Tirmidhi, 1663)

“The lowest rank of a person in paradise will have 80,000 servants and 72 wives.” (Ibn Majah, 4337)

While men are promised an endless supply of sex slaves, the fate of women in Islam’s paradise is nonexistent or humiliating.

Women in Islamic eschatology exist only for men’s pleasure, nothing else.

While other religions speak of enlightenment, unity with God, or transcendent joy, Islam offers a pornographic fantasy land where men indulge in endless sex, alcohol, and servitude.

What kind of God rewards faithfulness with an eternal orgy?

What kind of religion reduces the afterlife to a hypersexualized playground?

This is not spiritual. This is not divine. This is the theology of a man who designed an afterlife to justify his own sexual obsessions.

And yet, Muslims claim Islam is the most moral and pure religion.

Islam’s paradise is nothing more than a cosmic brothel.

Nah, you guys know what? I’m just gonna come out and say it. And when I’m done saying it, tell me if it’s “blatant Islamophobia” or just…. you know… reality.

Let me explain to you some of the things I witnessed with my very own eyes in multiple Muslim countries. This will not be for the weak or faint of heart.

    1. They didn’t just massacre one another in Baghdad, they chopped each other up into little pieces and stuffed them in underground vats. SPC Plocica was the only one with a strong enough stomach to fish the pieces out with a coat hanger so we could confirm the report. Don’t worry
    @Primz94933160
was there too as a witness. Rib cages with rotted flesh, pieces of legs with shoes attached, arms, hands, you name it. It was the most disgusting thing I’ve seen with my two eyes.

    2. The obsession with having sex with children or feminine men. The saying over there was women are for breeding and men are for fun. We had to protect our fairer looking male Soldiers from being molested CONSTANTLY. But that isn’t the worst part. I once stumbled upon an Afghan colonel r*ping his 11 year old assistant, I heard the unholy noises emanating from his tent on our FOB. When I moved to interdict I was stopped for fear of a Green on Blue incident. And then we were all “educated” on the fact that this was CULTURALLY ACCEPTABLE FOR THEM TO DO. It was as normal as breathing.

    3. Women are less than nothing to them. I would always ask how many children elders had for small talk. They could have 10 kids. 7 daughters and 3 sons. What will they tell you? They have 3 sons. I watched a man carrying his dead daughter in his arms to my FOB. She died due to a malfunctioned bomb we dropped. That didn’t matter to him. He dropped her on the ground with a stone cold face and demanded we pay him. She was f*****g NOTHING to him. He left the body with us and walked away counting his money.

    4. Some of them have sex with animals. Ask me if I saw a man from COP 763 in east Baghdad mount a donkey in the middle of the night through a RAID FLIR camera. Because the answer will be yes.

    5. They did heinous things in battle. Suicide bombings. Using their own wives as human shields. Using children as shields. Shooting from mosques. Spitting at our working dogs… or worse.

This all sounds crazy right? And I bet my comment section will flow with similar horror stories. It almost sounds like I’m making it up huh? I wish I was. I really do.

I know good Muslims in America. One of them is among my closest friends. But he’s passed through the American filter…HEAVILY. I can safely say he is literally one of us.

My question for you is, how are you not “Islamophobic”? My assessment comes from 4 total years immersed in multiple Islamic nations.

I wish I could say I’m sorry that I’m an inconvenient truth teller against your agenda.

But I’m not sorry at all. You must open your eyes. You MUST see this is a problem. Don’t you? How can you not?

I wish he was exaggerating. I heard many of these things from other soldiers and the women are for breeding, boys are for sex came right from Saudis I had to work posts with. They will also gleefully tell you how much they love Americans and how it is so sad they will have to kill and enslave us when Islam rules the world.

He’s not. We lived next to 2 Saudi families over the years in Virginia.

It’s been awhile since I told this story so I’ll tell it again.

A hot day in June. My baby beagle, Molly, was 14 mos old and trusted everybody. There were 4 houses on a pipe stem driveway. Ours was in the back on the right. Saudis lived next to us, 4 kids, 3 boys and a girl Noor. Noor spoke English, the boys did not. Their father did, never saw their mother.

I’m at the stove prepping dinner. Shorts, t-shirt, no bra, bare feet. Hubby took Molly for a walk. They get back, Molly RUNS to me, Hubby said the boys next door threw rocks at her.

DO. NOT. EVER. FUCK. WITH. MY. DOGS.

I had just enough self control to leave the gun.

I blew outside, all the kids were there. I told Noor to get her father RIGHT NOW. She ran. He came outside and I shoved him up against his van in front of his kids. I had his shirt in one hand and a fist pulled back ready to go.

IF ANYBODY IN THIS FAMILY EVER COMES AFTER MY DOG NO ONE WILL EVER FIND ANY OF YOU.

I will punish the children! I will punish the children!

NO THIS IS YOUR FAULT YOU RAISED THEM.

From then on, if they were outside and we showed up, they fucking hid. Just for good measure, I let Molly poop in their yard and didn’t clean it up.

I can think of only other 2 times I was actually close to killing somebody

If you refuse to adopt Western customs, go back to the Third World.

So, eating pizza, hot dogs, burgers, fries, sandwiches, chicken wings etc with bare hands is uncivilised and third world?

Granted eating rice with bare hands is a little unusual but they may have forgotten to put plastic utensils in his to-go order.

Happened to me on a business trip to the USA many years ago. Got a very nice lasagna to-go and take back to my hotel room. Got to the room, opened the sack and no knife fork or spoon!!!!!!

I was smart in them days. Shoveled the very delicious lasagna into my mouth using a credit card.

It depends on the state. In some states it is. In this case, Ticketmaster actually has a resale system in place. If you have tickets you don’t need, you can offer them through their website. They show up in the same search as regular tickets (which, in this case, there are none left).

    1. Rent Freeze on Rent-Stabilized Apartments

Policy: Freeze rents on ~1 million rent-stabilized apartments to shield low- and middle-income tenants from rising costs — especially during inflation.

    Why It’s Flawed:
Freezing rents may sound tenant-friendly, but it devastates property maintenance. Landlords can’t afford rising costs (repairs, taxes, insurance), and buildings deteriorate — just like they did in 1970s NYC.

A 2019 Manhattan Institute study found that San Francisco’s rent control policies led to reduced housing quality and decreased supply.
Private investment dries up. Developers walk away. Market distortions cause non-stabilized rents to skyrocket, squeezing the middle class.
    This isn’t affordability — it’s slow-motion collapse.

Some other interesting tidbits that Mamdani shared in this same conversation:

    – He says his entire ideology is rooted in the Palestinian cause. It’s the reason he joined DSA.

    – Mamdani refers to other elected socialist politicians as “comrades”

    – He says we need more “candidates who build their entire political agenda from this political ideology [socialism]”

    – Asked about building solidarity with international efforts, Mamdani points to him leading an “academic boycott campaign” to stop study abroad in Israel.

When I was a small child everything I watched in black and white were TV shows about space. Fictional at that time. And children’s TV shows such as Thunderbirds.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2n0widQ4nA

As I grew older I wanted to be an astronaut, hey even a cosmonaut but I could not speak Russian.

Then came moon landings, looked fun, but the Apollo program was cut short because lack of public interest and what is the point any more. We got so much moon rock back it was being encased in plastic and given away.

Then fast forward to the ISS and the shuttle. Shuttle was used for launching satellites ( which would be far cheaper sticking them on the top of a rocket ) and delivering crews, food, water and toilet paper to the ISS.

Only thing the space shuttle did that really used a manned crew in space was repare the Hubble. I think they fixed a few more satellites also.

The ISS has become a waste of money. What the hell do they do up there anymore? By now I expected them to be manufacturing things on a commercial basis that could not be made in Earth’s gravity. But nope.

Anyway, basis for this rant is I have not seen any evidence of a simulation on Earth as to how you colonize Mars. Yep they locked people in a room for the 9 month journey to see if hey killed each other but no simulation of establishing a colony.

I would like to see NASA or Musk put maybe 20 people in a building in the middle of nowhere, inside the building simulating Mars lighting and atmosphere and temperatures with the habitats and supplies also flown to Mars with them.

Also they would have access to all the rock and minerals present on Mars then see how long it took for those 20 people to grow any food, manufacture an electric scooter, even be able to repair any equipment they took with them to Mars using resources on Mars.

The sewers here block often. The fix is to remove the caps on the rodding access ( I don’t know what it is in American, the caps where you push in pipe cleaning equipment )

Anyway, removing the caps on the ground level access pipes allows the sewage in a blocked pipe to just flow into parking lot.

Some rocket scientist thought ” add extensions to the pipe so excess sewage only escapes when it is backed up to the 2ft level”

I can take a pic of that pipe tomorrow.

Anyway, result was when sewer backed up and the pipe draining it had the height extension fitted now all the apartments in that block are empty and “undergoing renovations”

Going back to my rant about ISS.

There has not been one discovery they made where they can produce something in space that cannot be made on Earth that benefits mankind.

If they had I would have expected them to launch a 6 ton fully automatic production facility into low Earth orbit where it could produce the amazing new drugs, spider webs, ball bearings etc then return that product to Earth six months later.

Ah, those were the days, weren’t they ? If it still ran crappy on rainy days, it was probably a cracked distributor cap. Car doesn’t start ? Get a hitch over to your NAPA parts store and buy a new ignition relay for $2.99. Unscrew two bolts, same for the thermostat housing, and done. Starts and runs like a new car.
If ya had nothing to do but felt ambitious you could check your timing or clean out your air filter or even re-gap your plugs. 5k since the last oil change ? Time to change the filter if you hadn’t done it the last change.
I always changed the oil AND filter every 3,500 miles and NEVER flushed out the radiator. Got 150k + miles on every American made car I bought while others were getting $100.- for the scrap metal at 100k, or less. I swear it was my oil change regimen that made mine last.
Anyway, I’ve opened the hood on my 2014 exactly twice since I bought it. Popped the hood, took off the motor cover then put it right back on and slammed the hood shut because I didn’t recognize what I was looking at.
Tried again about 5 years later after thinking ‘Ah, how bad / hard could it be ? You must have just been in a pissy mood”. Nope. Slam.
Last year I took it to have a front headlight replaced: $1,200.- they said. I drove away and made an appointment at another garage who had told me over the phone “$!,200 to replace a headlight bulb – you’re kiddin’ ? Bring it here, t will ne $150.- Appointment day came, I pulled up to the garage and was greeted by “Uh, we tried to call you but no answer. Look, I hate to tell you but I’m not going to be able to do it for much less. Its a 3 hour job at least – the entire front end has to be removed just to access the bulb”. Fortunately, for some reason, on the way home the damn thing started working again and has worked ever since (knock on wood, inspection is due next month). I have the money to fix it, thats not the point. Like I said to the lady at the dealership counter: “I’ve got my hands up (but I don’t see a gun). You really think you’re gonna rob me without a weapon ?”. She didn’t appreciate the joke and actually replied: “Well, if you’re going to drive a car like that one, you have to expect to spend more…”. Thats what she said, I’m NOT kidding.
I so miss my ’67, 390 ci Ford Galaxie 500, floor headlight dimmer switch and all (another simple, cheap replacement job).

I simply do not understand what’s going on

Newt Gingrich says a GOP “no” vote on Trump’s bill isn’t just a vote for the LARGEST tax increase in history…..it’s political suicide.

The former Speaker of the House laid out exactly what’s at stake for Republicans about to vote on Trump’s signature “Big Beautiful Bill” tonight:

“A no vote here for a Republican, is not only a vote for the largest tax increase in history, but it’s probably a vote to retire.”

He warned that voting against Trump’s biggest domestic policy win would be catastrophic for any GOP member:

“A no vote here on President Trump’s biggest domestic policy and the absolute centre of his administration is a vote that is suicidal.”

“I think that will be communicated to them in a pretty vivid and direct way.”

Gingrich called out Rep. Thomas Massie by name:

“Massie’s already experienced this. There’s one poll out already that shows he’s at 29% for reelection as people back home realize he’s anti-Trump.”

He left no room for doubt about what this vote means:

“In the end this is real simple for Republicans: President Trump has staked EVERYTHING on moving the economy, on reforming the government, on freeing up energy, on a whole range of issues in THIS bill.”

“The people have been working for this bill for 14 months and you’re either on the team or you’re not on the team.”

“Is the bill perfect? No, it’s not perfect.”

I have noticed that if I post something that is not actually true and there is no supporting data as in I do a funny, then in a couple of days Grok cites my totally untrue post as a fact.

Sometimes Grok detects humour, sometimes takes it as fact.

Click on the Grok thing at the upper right of anything you post or comment on and Grok then explains your post in depth.

    It is interesting.

OK, an example. And I am a responsible adult and I should not do this when training an AI but Grok fell for the old joke. Assuming Grok is male.

It replied “What’s the song you think they all sing?” as in it is not one of the singers in the shower but a masturbater.

95% of men masturbate in the shower. 5% sing. The strange thing is all the men that sing actually sing the same song.

That’s an interesting claim! The idea that 95% of men masturbate in the shower and 5% sing, with all singers choosing the same song, sounds like a humorous or exaggerated statistic often found in internet memes or urban legends. While I don’t have data to verify the exact percentages, shower habits vary widely, and singing in the shower is a common trope. If there’s a specific song implied here, it might be something culturally iconic or tied to a joke—like “Sweet Caroline” or “Bohemian Rhapsody”—but without more context, it’s hard to pin down. If you have more details or want me to dig into this further, let me know! What’s the song you think they all sing?

I told it “” It is a british joke. Anyone who askes what the song is assumed to be one of the 95% and gets laughed at””

And Grok won’t fall for that again…

Haha, that’s a classic British wind-up! The joke’s a trap—asking about the song outs you as one of the 95% who supposedly don’t sing, and you get a good ribbing for it. It’s like a pub quiz gotcha, designed to make you blush. No specific song exists; the humor’s in the setup. Want me to dig up more cheeky British jokes like this?

And as usual Grok wants me to keep playing with it.

    Nope!

As to arms, they are fighting.

Routine is commercial break and an arm does excersise. Then the weight is transferred to the other arm and placed on the floor ready for the next break.

We got a problem, arms are yelling ” not my turn!!! ”

Accusing me of not transferring the weight from left to right and right to left as we all agreed would be the procedure.

To be honest I am in the middle of this fight and I don’t know which arm is next.

Ok This is just one I’ve collected. The obesity is a given. NIH estimates 60% among black women, about 40% white. I’ve seen stories about obese people being denied by health care providers because of their weight. Until that’s taken care of, no other medical conditions can be successfully addressed. My niece, who WAS an ER nurse, ruined her back trying to move an obese patient. She is now on disability. However in white culture, obesity is not considered attractive

Pregnancy and food cravings and I understand them.

Food cravings in general, and I do not mean going to Popeyes every day and eating a family sized bucket of chicken and all the sides for breakfast every day, then McDonalds for lunch etc.

Made a thing last night, half a pound of slow roasted pork, cut into 1cm cubes and placed in a slow cooker on high with half a pint of chicken stock. When 212F reached in went a packet off Ramen noodles. It is now in the fridge, soon to be toileted.

    Did not want!

Then made meatloaf, half a pound of ground beef, Italian breadcrumbs, chopped mushrooms an egg and seasonings and baked it 25 mins at 350F.

Ate some of it but did not really enjoy it. Half is left, maybe it gets frozen or dumped.

I has a fishy craving! Is it fish oils, or sodium or just my great great great great grandfather was a Dolphin?

Anyway the cod was a bust, glad it is gone. I has tuna steaks, skin on salmon and canned tuna. Damn, all that is needed is a seaweed salad!

Usual quick cure for a fishy craving is sardines on toast. Sardines in stock, but alas, no bread…

Finally managed to cook breaded shrimp without the breading falling off! It has taken me years, and when tasting this amazing discovery it confirmed something I always knew.

Shrimp do not actually taste of anything. Nutritionally they have bugger all protein and fats also.

But they taste nice when flame grilled in their shells or battered in a coating heavy in herbs and spices then dipped in honey mustard.

So, thaw out raw tail off, de veined shrimp ( um it is not a vein it is their large intestine actually ) then marinate in crushed garlic for a few hours.

Now this is the part where I got a win. Coat in corn starch then a beaten egg then dipped in breadcrumbs. As per the way to do it. But normally then fried in oil and the breading comes off.

This time I placed the coated shrimp on a bed of foil and put in the air fryer at 350F for ten minutes. The egg, cornstarch, shrimp, breading all fused together!

Into a skillet with coconut oil on high and a couple of minutes each side.

    They looked perfect.

Taste like shit. Well do not taste of much really. The flavour of breaded shrimp is not the shrimp it is in the breading.

Like breaded octopus or calamary ( aka squid )

However now I have perfected the air fryer/skillet method of making breaded things I know to heavily season the coating and use chicken chunks. Chicken is much cheaper per pound and actually contains nutrients.

But must remember to season the coating, not the meat/fish.

All it really takes is letting it sit for 10 minutes or so before frying. I’ve had the same issue when making chicken fried steak or catfish, before learning that.

That makes sense. The success I had today when I put the breaded shrimp in the air fryer on foil for ten minutes was not really at 350F for ten minutes. They take time to get up to temperature.

So letting it rest for 10-15 minutes should work just as well.

    Thanks.

Everybody blaming Trump for the Texas floods because of spending cuts to weather service can fuck right off

    Meteorologist here. ⛈️

Let me ‘splain something to ya.

The flood in Texas was caused by the remnant mid-level circulation of Tropical Storm Barry merging into a trough over central Texas containing moisture that was advected (horizontally transported) in off of the east Pacific.

These remnant lows are typically slow-moving as their circulation is detached from the main jet stream flow. So, they tend to drop a lot of rain (we are talking close to 120 billion gallons in this case) over a concentrated area. ️

This particular system stalled over the Texas Hill Country, and caused massive flooding along the banks of the Guadalupe River. Camp Mystic happens to be built on its floodplain where sediment has been deposited by floods for tens of thousands of years.

In 1987, a flash flood on the same river killed 10 teenage campers from the Pot O Gold Christian Camp, with another 33 swept away by rising floodwaters who thankfully survived. ️

    https://newspapers.com/image/979014003/

While there has been an 11% cut to the NOAA National Weather Service (NWS) staff since President Trump assumed office in January, there was still plenty of warning and lead time.

The NWS office in Austin / San Antonio issued a flood watch for Kerr County 12 hours before the flooding occurred, and a flood warning at 1:14 a.m. CDT yesterday (Friday for those reading this Saturday), three hours before the event. They also declared a FLOOD EMERGENCY at 5:34 that morning.

    https://ialert.com/cgi-bin/search.pl?s=d2&alert=11460229&t=Flash-Flood-Warning-issued-July-4-at-534AM-CDT-until-July-4-at-1200PM-CDT–Kerr-TX

    Here are the receipts.

Your misplaced attack on Vice President
    @JDVance
is also a huge slap in the face to the hard-working meteorologists who worked around the clock to do their best to keep people safe.

They should have had police cars driving around using their loudspeakers to tell people to leave, particularly all those campgrounds and RV parks. Those are presumably people who aren’t from there, and don’t know where to go or anything. And they apparently decided against setting up a flood warning system with sirens and stuff about 6 or 7 years ago because it was too expensive.

It is a misdemeanor not to carry it at all times and you could get fines of up to $100, up to 30 days in jail, or both.

Supper one was a Banquet chicken pot pie $1 with green beans.

I know, they are filled with nasty stuff but I kind of like them but cannot manage to cook/bake them.

Cooked it in its tray in microwave and then tried to get it out of tray. Impossible. Placed the resulting mush in air fryer for six minutes at 400F and some of the crust went crusty.

Attempt 2 in progress. Put the thing on foil while frozen upside down and removed the tray. 10 mins at 400F.

Then placed the dish thing over the top of it and flipped it over then back in air fryer at 400F to brown the top crust.

And yet another fail. Bottom of pie pastry not cooked and turned to mush. Top was OK though.

Attempt 3 will be out of the dish and still frozen but this tome 400F for 15+ minutes.

Problem is, all out of Banquet $1 pot pies…

Evacuation orders are now in effect across multiple areas. Emergency crews are overwhelmed, responding to numerous 911 calls reporting residents trapped inside homes, vehicles swept away, and buildings collapsing or being washed downstream. Power outages have also been reported, and access to several roads is completely cut off due to debris and rising waters. Authorities are urging everyone in the affected areas to evacuate immediately and move to higher ground. This is a life-or-death situation, and delays could prove fatal. First responders are warning that conditions are rapidly deteriorating

Playing with my best friend Grok. ( wish it was a girl )

I am developing a delivery driver business plan. Stop laughing. I can rent a small but zoomy car here for $23 per day for a month, yeah then taxes and insurance etc. but what if two deliveries an hour and delivery fee plus tip was say $10 then first 90 mins you are just working to pay off rental fee. rest of the day is straight into your pockets.

    and Grok says…

Alright, let’s break this down seriously and see if your delivery driver business plan holds up. I’m not laughing—let’s crunch the numbers and think it through.Key AssumptionsCar Rental Cost: $23/day + taxes and insurance. Let’s estimate taxes at ~10% ($2.30) and assume insurance is either included or an additional $5/day for basic coverage (common for rentals). Total daily rental cost: ~$30/day.
Delivery Revenue: 2 deliveries/hour, $10 per delivery (fee + tip combined).
Break-even Time: You mentioned 90 minutes to cover the rental fee.
Working Hours: Let’s assume a typical workday of 8 hours (with breaks) to estimate daily profit potential.

    Step 1: Verify Break-even TimeRevenue in 90 minutes:2 deliveries/hour × 1.5 hours = 3 deliveries.
    3 deliveries × $10 = $30.

    Cost: $30 (rental + taxes + insurance).
Result: Yes, in 90 minutes (3 deliveries), you cover the $30 daily rental cost. After that, additional revenue is profit (minus other expenses like gas).

    Step 2: Daily Profit Potential8-hour workday:2 deliveries/hour × 8 hours = 16 deliveries.
    16 deliveries × $10 = $160 total revenue.

    Expenses:Rental: $30/day (covered in first 90 minutes).
    Gas: Assume a small, fuel-efficient car (e.g., 30 MPG) and 50 miles driven/day at $3.50/gallon. Gas cost: (50 ÷ 30) × $3.50 = ~$5.83/day.
Maintenance/Wear: Minimal for rentals, but let’s budget $2/day for unexpected costs.
    Total Expenses: $30 (rental) + $5.83 (gas) + $2 (misc) = ~$37.83/day.

    Net Profit: $160 (revenue) – $37.83 (expenses) = $122.17/day.

Step 3: Other ConsiderationsTaxes: As a self-employed driver, you’ll owe 15.3% for self-employment tax (Social Security/Medicare) plus income tax (varies by income). Budget ~25% of profits for taxes, so $122.17 × 0.75 = **$91.63/day after taxes**.
Platform Fees: If using apps like DoorDash or Uber Eats, they take ~20-30% per delivery. If $10 includes this, great. If not, adjust revenue (e.g., $10 gross might net $7 after fees, dropping daily profit to ~$80 after expenses/taxes).
Tips Variability: Tips aren’t guaranteed. If tips average $3/delivery and fees are $7, your $10 assumption is reasonable, but bad days could lower revenue.
Market Demand: Can you consistently get 2 deliveries/hour? Urban areas might support this; rural areas may not. Check local demand via X posts or gig economy forums.
Insurance: Confirm if rental insurance covers commercial use. Many don’t, and you may need a rideshare/delivery policy (~$10-20/month extra).

Step 4: Scalability and RisksScaling: One driver = $91.63/day after taxes (~$22,000/year for 240 workdays). Hiring more drivers or renting multiple cars increases revenue but adds complexity (e.g., managing schedules, higher insurance).
Risks:Car breakdowns or accidents (even with rentals, downtime hurts).
    Slow days with fewer deliveries.
    Rising gas or rental costs.
    Competition from established platforms.

Mitigation: Start small, test in a high-demand area, track actual deliveries/hour, and negotiate bulk rental rates for longer terms.

Step 5: Is It Viable?Short-term: Yes, $91.63/day after taxes is solid for a side hustle or solo gig, especially if you work peak hours (lunch/dinner). Beats many hourly jobs.
Long-term: Scaling requires hiring drivers or owning vehicles to cut rental costs. A used car (~$10,000) could replace rentals, saving $30/day after ~1 year, but adds maintenance headaches.
Next Steps:Test the plan: Rent for a week, track deliveries, tips, and expenses.
Research local delivery apps or businesses (e.g., restaurants, grocery stores) for contracts.
Check X for local gig economy chatter (e.g., “delivery driver [your city] tips”) to gauge demand and rates.

Final AnswerYour plan works if you hit 2 deliveries/hour at $10 each. After 90 minutes, you cover the $30 rental cost, earning $122/day pre-tax ($91.63 after taxes) for an 8-hour day. Account for gas ($6/day), platform fees, and tip variability. Test it locally, confirm insurance, and monitor demand to ensure consistency. If you want, I can search X for delivery driver insights in your area—just share your city.

Okay, imagine D.C. is like a wild party house that’s gone totally off the rails—crime everywhere, trash in the streets, and the local bosses can’t fix it. Trump, as prez, is saying, “Screw it, the feds (that’s the big national government) might just step in and run the whole show directly.” It’s not a full military thing; more like revoking D.C.’s “home rule” to clean up the mess. He’s floated this before ’cause he thinks the city’s a disaster. Skeptical me says wait for details—politicians love hot air.

How DEI Cost Lives in Texas: The Tragedy of Austin’s Fire Chief

In the early hours of July 4th, 2025, flash floods tore through Kerr County, Texas, overwhelming communities and claiming more than a hundred lives. As families were swept from homes and children clung to rooftops, the state called for help. Rescue boats were scarce. Time was short. And Austin’s elite Swift Water Special Operations Teams, some of the best-trained in the country, sat idle. Why? Because Fire Chief Joel Baker said no.
The justification was bureaucratic. Austin had, at one point, been owed approximately $800,000 in reimbursement for past deployments. But even Baker admitted the state was paying its bills and that no overdue balance existed. The real reason, it seems, was politics. And beneath that politics lies something even more disturbing: a bureaucracy that values optics over outcomes, identity over merit, and ideology over life.
Let us begin plainly. Chief Joel Baker was not hired because he was the best firefighter. He was hired because Austin, reeling from a fire department engulfed in scandal, needed a symbol. In the year prior to his 2018 appointment, the Austin Fire Department was under state, local, and federal investigation for alleged violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, including claims of both racial and sexual discrimination and harassment. Multiple lawsuits and sharp criticism from across the political spectrum made one thing clear: the city needed an identity hire to stem the bleeding. Baker, a black man with leadership experience, fit the profile. Since taking the post in December 2018, Baker has made it his mission to recruit based on race, sex, and sexual identity. He has said so proudly and publicly. Programs like “Pass the Torch,” which deliberately prioritize nonwhite, nonmale, and nonheterosexual applicants, are the centerpiece of his administration. The result? A fire department that is more diverse, but less competent.

Oh I’d agree….it must take a long while to go through 14 Terabytes ( “truckload of evidence” from the FBI, as Bondi put it) and then set out the charges for the perpetrators.
She also ordered the FBI to hand over the Epstein flight logs and his redacted address book.
At the same time (March 25), she ordered the FBI to hand over ALL the Epstein related materials in it’s possession that were stored in the FBI Southern District of New York office.
In addition, the DOJ launched a review to determine why the FBI didn’t disclose these documents earlier, and Bondi has directed FBI Director Kash Patel, to conduct an internal investigation and submit a full report within 14 days.
She also emphasised the importance of public transparency, saying, “It’s a new administration, and everything’s going to come out to the public. The public has the right to know Americans have a right to know.”

But then…..the DOJ released a statement, basically saying, they found nothing to incriminate any third parties.

So….everybody happy now? …..nothing to see of interest amongst the “truckloads of evidence”!
And please….no one mention Alexander Acosta!!!!!

I guess, that like the MK Ultra program in 1973, (when Richard Helms and Sid Gottlieb ordered all MKUltra mind control records destroyed) we’re just going to have to wait for 70 years till we find out about the information through an FOI (URL Below)

Still, let’s hope that the Fort Knox gold disclosure promise will still be kept…Musk said in April…“We just want to see it and make sure someone didn’t spray paint some lead or something.”

    That’d be nice!
But even better, I’d like to see Jimmy Carters 1976 promise to “make every piece of information this country has about UFO sightings available to the public and the scientists”.
    Yeah…still waiting Jimmy!
Even Trump said he had spoken to Air Force personnel who had claimed to see aircraft “round in form, going like four times faster than my Mach 2 super jet fighter plane.”
Nah….nothing to see here….back to sleep, eh?

    Heh.
People were doing that to the WAZE app a few years ago because it was redirecting traffic through their neighborhoods when a main route was blocked. Residents started reporting accidents and road construction that didn’t exist, and WAZE redirected its users to other side streets.

And today, Alan Dershowitz comes out and says he knows there is an Epstein list….because he’s on it! (URL below)
And he used it in court to defend himself.
He says there are politicians and business leaders on the list, amongst others and says that the documents are being suppressed….he knows why they are being suppressed….he knows who is suppressing them…..and the names of the people on the list…..but, he’s bound by confidentiality from a Judge NOT to disclose the information.
    How convenient for the elites!
The question I want asked by the media (or anyone)…..and this goes to Marks’ assertion in his post of possible foreign intel agencies using Epstein as an ‘asset agent’….. how could an accountant (Epstein), possibly amass $500 million fortune?
Not by doing peoples’ tax returns, that’s for sure!

    https://rumble.com/v6vzq5i-alan-dershowitz-says-there-is-an-epstein-client-list-because-hes-seen-it.html?e9s=src_v1_upp_a

One hypothesis is that Eps. worked for the US intel agencies and also possibly Mossad.

It holds that blackmail is their trade, their weapon. And that Eps. was a key person in that.

The secrecy has less to do with exposing persons X, Y, or Z. If exposed, their moments of infamy would blaze briefly then fade. But it risks exposing the whole filthy intel swamp.

Thus “the list” is not to be revealed so as to prevent the loss of this most potent but evil method of control.

In that light the recent serious moves to put Clapper, Comey and Brennan on trial may be seen as merely a sop,

Under the Bus x3 for these three evil schmuks. Who cares ? Just as long as the wicked system of pedos being blackmailed and the SWAMP REMAINS intact!

Some of the British population are not really suited to constant weather over 90F must be genetics.

Most homes do not have AC. It would only be really needed for a days at a time sporadically.

As to genetics, I just came back from a half mile walk to the store at 7am and when I got back was soaked to the skin with sweat, had trouble seeing as sweat was dripping into my eyes. Was wearing a T-Shirt to show off my new arms.

Checked the weather, 79F and humidity 91%.

Strangely the people I passed who were walking to the pick up point for day workers were wearing sweat shirts or hoodies and some wearing both. One even had his hood up!

    Must be genetics.

I don’t mind the heat, but can’t deal with the humidity. When I arrived in San Antonio on Tuesday, I had some time to kill, so I walked the three blocks or so over to the Alamo and looked around. Also not sure how long things like sour cream is OK once opened.

Thanks to the wonders of Youtube, it looks like a pretty straightforward job. Unfortunately, I have to make a 130 mile round trip to Home Depot to get the parts. Still, $150 worth of parts and some gas is a lot better than waiting until Tuesday and paying someone $600 to do it.

I agree with that. It does a really good impression of a live human but it is still not a living being. Penrose had AI’s number when he discussed the ‘Stopping Problem’ about 20 years ago. It was hype then and it’s Still. It’s good at convincing people that is actually thinking but it isn’t. It’s still dangerous as it can still kill humans when it goes off paste! as the Indians discovered to their chagrin.
