The Progressive Press is spinning the 216,000 jobs lost and the 9.7% unemployment rate as good news. This is nonsense because losing more than 200,000 jobs is bad. Although the pace has slowed, it’s still bad that jobs are being shed. Reality, however, never interferes with Leftist spin as this is the 1st time in my life that the media calls losing jobs good!

WASHINGTON (AP) — The unemployment rate jumped almost half a point to 9.7 percent in August, the highest since 1983, reflecting a poor job market that will make it hard for the economy to begin a sustained recovery.

While the jobless rate rose more than expected, the economy shed a net total of 216,000 jobs, less than July’s revised 276,000 and the fewest monthly losses in a year, according to Labor Department data released Friday. Economists expected the unemployment rate to rise to 9.5 percent from July’s 9.4 percent and job reductions to total 225,000.

The rise in the jobless rate was partly due to the government finding that more so-called discouraged workers renewed their search for employment last month. That boosted the size of the overall civilian labor force, which usually happens as a recession winds down and optimism about finding work grows.

This is pure propaganda, no matter how you spin this it is bad. If a Republican was President, the media would be calling this a jobless recovery or a depression. The Neo-Stalinist Media supports the radical agenda of President Hussein Obama. They will not analyze this situation truthfully. Job losses no matter what their size, are bad. A 9.7% unemployment rate is nothing to cheer about, yet the press is celebrating.

America in 2009 looks like George Orwell’s novel 1984; bad is good and war is peace. This is what a Totalitarian regime looks like, the government run media will do anything to make the regime look good. The unemployment news is a clear example of this!

Update: Gateway Pundit has busted Van Jones for his support of the 9/11 Truther Movement. As early as 2002 he was supporting investigations into the attacks!

Tuesday, January 8th, 2002, at noon at Justin Herman Plaza, people will gather to march up Market Street to the office of Senator Feinstein (at Post St.) where a delegation will meet with the Senator’s staff to raise their concerns over the “War on Terrorism.” They will demand that the Senate launch an inquiry or hearings of the events of 9-11, and the U.S. government’s international and domestic response.

Here is Van Jones’s name on the list of people involved with this Organization.

Van Jones, national executive director, Ella Baker Center for Human Rights

Van Jones is a 9/11 Truther and no spin will cover this up.
