The Hamid Karzai Show

Our mission in Afghanistan continues to turn into a circus. We have restrictive ROE which prevents our troops from finishing off the Taliban. We are focused on nation building and not crushing the enemy. Then we have the corrupt regime of Hamid Karzai, which has pushed many Afghans into re-embracing the Taliban. This man is a drama queen who even threatened to join that group. He is not popular with the Afghan people and is ultimately doomed.

PresidentHamid Karzai is doomed. During his strategic shopping trip to Washington this week, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pronounced his epitaph: “We will not abandon the Afghan people.”

In DC doublespeak, that means we’re searching desperately for the exit ramp.

Then we got the mandatory presidential press conference. If platitudes killed terrorists, “The Bam and Ham Show” would’ve exterminated the Taliban.

President Obama assured Karzai of his “commitment to an Afghanistan that is stable, strong and prosperous.” We’ll see a communist takeover of Texas before that goal’s achieved

America’s Afghan policy is unrealistic. We are trying to create a nation where one did not exist. Instead of working with Tribal leaders, we are imposing a Western style centralized regime. The problem is Hamid Karzai is more interested in pocketing money than ruling. This little show is rapidly turning into a nightmare.

We're not easily offended and don't want people to think they have to walk on eggshells around here (like at another place that shall remain nameless) but of course, there is a limit to everything.

Play nice!
