It is everybody’s nightmare – a home invasion in a tony neighborhood of Cheshire Connecticut committed by two career sociopathic lowlifes. What followed was an seven hour of deal of rape, torchings and eventually murder. I wonder if anyone can make a case for allowing these two scum buckets to be allowed to breathe the same air that the rest of civilized humanity. What amazes me is how ordinary people can vote for liberal politicians who prefer to blame “society” for crime instead of facing the fact that some people are just plain evil.

One of the savages who slaughtered the wife and daughters of a prominent Connecticut doctor as they slept in their home finally goes on trial today for the monstrous crime that stunned the nation and left people wondering whether anyone is safe anywhere.
The victims were an ideal family.
Dr. William Petit Jr., the only survivor, is a respected endocrinologist.
Killed in cold blood were his wife, Jennifer Hawke-Petit, 48, who suffered from multiple sclerosis and worked with organizations fighting the disease, and their daughters, Hayley, 17, and Michaela, 11.
APHORROR: The Petits — (from left) Hayley, Michaela and parents Jennifer and William — were savagely attacked at their Connecticut home by Steven Hayesand Joshua KomisarjevskyJoshua Komisarjevsky and Steven HayesHopefully they will not be smiling for long.Hayley was an aspiring doctor who was headed to her dad’s alma mater, Dartmouth, while Michaela, a vivacious youngster, loved to cook — and prepared the last meal her mother and sister ever ate.
The killers were both lowlifes who had been paroled multiple times despite having spent years behind bars. Neither had been convicted of a violent crime.
The killers, who had been out hunting for prey, had spotted the victims by chance.
Jennifer and Michaela had decided to shop at their local supermarket in Cheshire, on the morning of July 22, 2007. It was there that Komisarjevsky noticed them and followed them to their Chrysler Pacifica.
He was “attracted to the car,” Dr. Petit’s brother, Glenn, told The Associated Press shortly after the crime.
Glenn, quoting cops, said Komisarjevsky “liked the car, followed [them] home and thought they lived in a nice house.”
Then he linked up with Hayes and drove to a nearby store — where the fiends bought an air rifle and rope.
They returned to the Petits’ well-to-do neighborhood, where they lurked, waiting for dark.
Hayes and Komisarjevsky, both break-in artists, entered the Petits’ home through a cellar door.
They first encountered the doctor, who was asleep on a couch, and beat him unconscious with a bat. The pair went upstairs, where they held the girls and their mom captive for seven hours, subjecting them to unspeakable acts of cruelty.
First, they tied the girls to their beds.
Then Hayes raped Jennifer, and his accomplice raped the 11-year-old.

Now after three years of legal wrangling, including six months just to seat a jury and a delay due to Hayes’ suicide attempt, justice may finally be done in New Haven Superior Court — where the cowardly killers are expected to point the finger at each other.

Defense lawyers have been whining that Dr. Petit has been allowed to speak freely, while they remain muzzled.
“We can’t take the daily battering,” griped Hayes lawyer, New Haven Chief Public Defender Thomas Ullman.
