If you ask me, the people who threatened this man for exercising his freedom of speech should be held accountable ~ AND given the bill.
Anti-Islamic pastor to pay police bill
The pastor who threatened to burn copies of the Koran on the ninth anniversary of 9/11 has been hit with a bill for more than $180,000 (£115,000) by the city of Gainesville, Florida, for the disruption his stunt caused.
It took local police more than a month to prepare security plans for the community near the church run by Terry Jones, who never ultimately went through with the burning.
I was against the koran burning, but he had every right to do it. Actually, they should send the bill to the media – they turned this into a security issue by running the story non-stop.
“Oh, muslims won’t like this when they find out… Hey everybody did you know this guy down in Florida is planning to…”
