Today, I get to add the word former in front of Nancy Pelosi’s title as Speaker of the House.  Not enough can be said about that.  We’ll give it a try anyhow.  Without a doubt, Nancy has to be the single worst owner of that title.  Much of the debt and national deficit is blamed on a President.  It is the House which controls expenditures.  The House draws up the budget, and decides funding.  The President must agree and sign off, but the majority of control belongs to the Congress Critters.  So, during the last two years of Bush 43’s term, while San Fran Nan was using the growing deficit as a means to bludgeon Bush politically, it was more her fault than his.  Small point I know, but We’re just getting warmed up here.

Let’s start with her promises while campaigning for a Democrat takeover of the House in 2006.  Nancy promised her role as Speaker would be singularly focused on her number 1 priority, ending our dependence on foreign oil.  How do you think we did?  Nancy has done more harm to our oil industry than any other 10 Americans combined.  A self declared enemy of the oil industry, Nancy has done everything in her power to deny anyone from drilling for domestic sources of Oil.  She has made certain to limit land available for the domestic leasing programs and to hold off limits areas where oil has been shown to exist.  I am not an oil industry expert, so I will just stay with the highlights on this one.  As I understand it from friends in the business, the oil isn’t everywhere.  So, leasing land to oil companies without oil in it is not going to help them produce any domestically.  Not allowing them to drill for oil on land where we know oil is, will not help them produce oil domestically.   Oil exists in the ocean, but we have placed the restrictions in most instances on anything close to shore.  So when Nancy tells a T.V. audience that we are drilling in 5000 foot deep water because we have exhausted the supply of closer sources, that is inherently disingenuous.  Nancy’s promise to end dependence of foreign oil referred not to increasing domestic supply, but rather to force Americans to stop using oil.  If Nancy had been honest and phrased it that way, Americans would have at least known what her intentions were, and been in a better position to honestly evaluate if that is the direction they wanted to go.  Instead, when the price of gas hit $4 a gallon at the pump, Nancy wasted no time in fixing blame on the Republicans, rather than on her reckless energy policy.

Nancy promised to clean up the culture of corruption which was the Republican led Congress.  How did she do?  The list of tax cheats and felons which make up the Democrat leadership in the House, Senate, and Cabinet staggers the imagination.  These people engage in felonious behavior as a matter of course.  William Jefferson kept a Hundred Grand in cash in his freezer.  Charlie Rangle,   falsified tax returns, while telling the rest of us we needed to pay more.  Maxine Waters managed to make a $300 Million profit from the banking crisis, and labels her ethics trial as an exercise in racism.  Tim Geitner and Hillary Clinton each got off with a warning for fraudulent behaviour that would have sent any of the rest of us to jail without our $200.  Harry Reid has more than his share of problems involving Nevada Real Estate Scams.  Those are just the highlights, but the cesspool seems to be open for business and thriving.

Nancy promised transparency.  How did she do on that one?  Well, we don’t need to look too terribly far for the answer.  She passed the Health Care Law without Americans being allowed to read the bill.  As a matter of fact, most of the Congress Critters who voted in favor of it did not bother to read it either.  Along with passing the law came a plethora of documented bribes, and out right vote buying that would have sent us mere mortals to jail, once again without our $200.  Nancy’s strong armed tactics were demonstrably in opposition to the expressed will of the American People.  So much so that there were about half a million American Demonstrators lining the streets for Nancy’s now infamous walk to the Capital Building with her over sized gavel.  Nancy showed us all how completely out of touch she was with the American Mainstream that day by making a point to walk the entire distance with a smug smiling face designed clearly to taunt the concerned citizens who were there to exercise their constitutional right to voice disapproval.

Nancy promised, “Pay as you go, no new deficit spending.”  How did she do?  The deficit tripled in size during Nancy’s 4 years as Speaker.  In one last fit of dishonesty, Nancy points to CBO estimates of her legislative inflictions upon America.  First, a word about the CBO.  All the CBO is able to do is to offer an estimate based on facts provided.  So, when Congress hands a bill over for scoring with numbers that are sometimes fraudulent, and many times based on fantasy, the answer is fraudulent or based on fantasy.  So, while it is true that the CBO said the Health Care Law would save us money, it only took 25 hours for the new Law to change itself into the largest budget deficit increase in history.  There are two things which scare me about this beyond the usual terror of a disastrous idea implemented.  One, I still hear my fellow Americans parroting the already disproven CBO money saving estimate.  How long after something is shown to be false should we wait to scream in their ears to wake the f@#* up?  Two, If it took mere hours to become bad, months to become disastrous, what will this monstrosity be in 2014?

John Boehner, now is your turn.  Your turn as Speaker came about due to the American People filing a restraining order to stop the political left.  Far too many times the Republicans have taken over the reigns of power and promptly morphed into Democrats.  Even before you became speaker, many of my fellow conservatives started to show signs of anger.  We are tired of voting for people who voice our core principles and then act in opposition to those principles.  A similar restraining order can and will be filed against you if you morph into another big government capitulating Republican.  Ignore the will of the people at your own peril.

For now though, Good Bye Nancy and thanks for the memories.

Play nice!
