Today the Egyptian opposition held a so called Million Man march, sounds familiar? 250,000 Egyptians turned out demanding Mubarak to resign. Mean while the Muslim Brotherhood is spouting all the Progressive talking points. He said the Egyptian opposition stands for social justice and combating climate change. Progressive organizations were the originators of the protests and then their Islamic allies joined in. The Islamists are using leftist talking points to win over Western Progressive support. This is protest is following the 3rd World Liberation script: “spontaneous” protests, a “Million Man” march, then a “Popular Uprising” followed by a “People’s Provisional” government. Although the grievances for the protests are real, this was planned and manufactured.
The Muslim Brotherhood is play western Progressives like a fiddle. One of their leaders says his group wants war with Israel.
Mohamed Ghanem, one of the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, calls Egypt to stop pumping gas to Israel and prepare the Egyptian army for a war with it’s eastern neighbor.
Speaking with Iranian television station Al-Alam, Mohamed Ghanem blamed Israel for supporting Hosni Mubarak’s regime. Ghanem also said that the Egyptian police and army won’t be able to stop the Muslim Brotherhood movement.
The Progressives will love this stance and continue to support the Muslim Brotherhood. They hate Israel and want it destroyed, hence their love of the Brotherhood. The Progressive-Islamic Axis is flexing its muscle in Egypt.
Update: Jordan’s King dissolves his government and seeks to form a new one.
King Abdullah II of Jordan has sacked his government in the wake of street protests and has asked an ex-army general to form a new cabinet, Jordan’s Royal Palace has announced.
King Abdullah’s move on Tuesday comes after thousands of Jordanians took to the streets, inspired by anti-government protests in Tunisia and Egypt. Jordanians had been calling for the resignation of prime minister Samir Rifai who is blamed for a rise in fuel and food prices and slowed political reforms.
A Jordanian official said the monarch officially accepted the resignation of Rifai, a wealthy politician and former court adviser, and asked Marouf Bakhit to form a new cabinet.
The Jordanian situation needs to be watched.
Update II: Bob in Breckenridge has a link showing the connections Western Progressive groups have to the Egyptian protests.
For all the lack of clarity on where the Obama administration stands, one thing is becoming more and more clear: Signs are beginning to point more toward the likelihood that President Obama’s State Department, unions, as well as Left-leaning media corporations are more directly involved in helping to ignite the Mid-East turmoil than they are publicly admitting.
If it is indeed the case that the Obama administration, with help by private-sector companies and the union movement has led an “internet revolution” in the middle east and toppled two governments within a month, the longer-term ramifications for U.S. relations with other allies such as Saudi Arabia and certain other Arab monarchies, could prove to have much more far-reaching consequences.
This is the Cloward-Piven strategy done on a global scale.
