This has to be the biggest joke I have ever heard. Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) had a hearing on how hard Muslims have it in America. WHat alternate universe is he living in? Islam is a protected religion in this nation that is not allowed to be criticized. The Islamic version of history is taught and their achievements exaggerated. Far from oppression, the American political elite is Islamophile and they are a defacto part of the ruling elite.

Muslims in the United States face ongoing discrimination and violence in actions that threaten basic freedoms in the nation, a US Senate hearing was told Tuesday.

The hearing was called to discuss protecting the civil rights of American Muslims, just weeks after another panel hotly debated the threat posed by homegrown Islamists.

Democratic Assistant Senate Majority Leader Dick Durbin, who called the hearing, said a “backlash” which began after the attacks of September 11, 2001, continues against “innocent Muslims, Arabs, south Asians and Sikhs.”

Sikhs are not Islamic and in fact their whole culture is based on fighting them. This shows Dick Durbin is in the pocket of Islamic interests. Let us never forget he openly supported Al-Qaeda in Iraq and called our troops Nazis. As for how bad Muslims have it in America, yeah their history isn’t taught and their ancestors are called evil. Oh that’s right, it’s my Spanish ancestors’ history that isn’t taught and they are called evil. Our History books have nothing but praise for Arabs/Muslims and their genocidal wars are considered good.

This is just pathetic and a waste of tax dollars.
