Only 38% of Americans are sure Obama was born here

The Birther conspiracy is now starting to take a toll on Obama. Just as the blood for oil libel and 9/11 was an inside job lie did damage to Bush, now the Obama is suffering damage. Only 38% of Americans are positive Obama was born here. This is a damning number and shows Obama’s myth like status is beginning to crack.

Still, in the USA TODAY poll, only 38% of Americans say Obama definitely was born in the USA, and 18% say he probably was. Fifteen percent say he probably was born in another country, and 9% say he definitely was born elsewhere.

Republicans are inclined to say the president was born abroad by 43%-35%.

Obama is getting the Bush treatment now. Conspiracies about him are now gaining ground in the popular psyche. What goes around, comes around.

We're not easily offended and don't want people to think they have to walk on eggshells around here (like at another place that shall remain nameless) but of course, there is a limit to everything.

Play nice!
