RIP Macho Man Randy Savage

Superstar Wrestler Macho Man Randy Savage died in a car accident in the Tampa Bay area. He had a medical event, which caused the crash. This happened in Seminole, which is a suburb of St. Pete.

SEMINOLE — Professional wrestling superstar Randy “Macho Man” Savage was killed Friday in a single-car crash that also injured his wife, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Savage, famed as much for his wild outfits as for his feats in the ring, was driving his Jeep Wrangler west on Park Boulevard about 2 miles from his home. Just west of the intersection of 113th Street N he “lost control for unknown reasons,” the FHP report says.

The Wrangler jumped the concrete median, crossed over the eastbound lanes of Park Boulevard, jumped the curb and collided head-on with a tree.
