In a Mumbai style attack, 6 Taliban Gunmen attacked the Inter-Continental hotel in Kabul. One of the attackers blew themselves up. Then the rest got holed up on the roof. Afghan security forces then called in NATO helicopters. The result was the gunmen were killed.

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — NATO helicopters fired rockets at gunmen on the rooftop of a besieged Kabul hotel early Wednesday, ending a more than four-hour standoff between militants and police that left at least six dead, Afghan officials said.

Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqqi said six suicide bombers attacked the Inter-Continental hotel frequented by Afghan officials and foreign visitors. He said two were killed by hotel guards at the beginning of the attack and four others either blew themselves up or were killed in the airstrike or by Afghan security forces.

Some Afghan provincial governors were staying at the hotel among the 60 to 70 guests, Afghan officials said.

Congrats on the NATO helicopters for their ending this madness.

We're not easily offended and don't want people to think they have to walk on eggshells around here (like at another place that shall remain nameless) but of course, there is a limit to everything.

Play nice!
