AND he does it in style: with a Home Run! Great News for Yankees Fans!

Jeter on Saturday became the 28th player in major league baseball history — and first Yankee in franchise history — to reach the 3,000-hit plateau when he homered to left against David Price of the Tampa Bay Rays in the third inning.
At 37 years, 13 days old, Jeter is the fourth-youngest player to reach 3,000 hits. Pete Rose had been the fourth-youngest at 37 years, 21 days. Ty Cobb is the youngest (34 years, 244 days), while Hank Aaron (36 years, 101 days) and Robin Yount (36, 359 days) both amassed 3,000 hits before their 37th birthday.
The last player to reach the 3,000-hit plateau was Houston Astros second baseman Craig Biggio, who accomplished the feat on June 28, 2007, when he singled off Colorado Rockies right-hander Aaron Cook.

Congratulations to Derek Jeter!

We're not easily offended and don't want people to think they have to walk on eggshells around here (like at another place that shall remain nameless) but of course, there is a limit to everything.

Play nice!
