Some highlights from the KCNA (NorKs)

Let us foil the revival of Japanese militarism and reject in unity its moves for reinvasion.

Independence is what keeps the nation alive and dependence on foreign forces leads to ruin.

Let us reject the uncalled-for interference and pressure by the foreign forces through escalated actions against foreign forces from the stand of maintaining national independence and prioritizing the nation’s interests.

Never allow the treachery of the conservative forces who take to flunkeyism by relying on foreign forces.

Flunkeyism??? OK, then…

DPRK Marathoners Qualified for 30th Olympic Games

An old Chinese book says ancient Koreans ran as fast as deer and that ten people, believed to be able to run 400 kilometers a day, had once visited China from Koguryo Kingdom (277 B.C.-668 A.D.)

In the 18th century, Korean scholars termed the liking “inborn”, attributing it to geological conditions of the country with many mountains and hills.

Prior to the present-day athletic event, there were traditional track meets in Korea.

It has been told that towards the end of Ri Dynasty (1392-1910) there appeared a man who ran 200 kilometers from Jonju to Seoul in 12 hours.

This testifies to the fact that the Korean nation is constitutionally strong in persistence and endurance.

Yeah…so are the Ethiopians and Kenyans.

Pyongyang, March 1 (KCNA) — Yu Yong Jae, chief of the team in charge of the U.S. forces affairs of the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification of south Korea, was interviewed by a reporter of Jaju Minbo on Feb. 27 in connection with the desperate war drills against the north kicked off by the U.S. imperialists and the puppet warmongers.

I love being called “imperialists” and controlling “the puppet warmongers”!

New Diamond Drill Bit Developed in DPRK

Pyongyang, March 1 (KCNA) — A diamond research group at the State Academy of Sciences of the DPRK succeeded in making a new kind of diamond drill bit by thermal compression at low temperature. The new bit is good in ensuring drill’s safe operation and raising the tempo of prospecting work.

The research group also developed high-performance drilling tools needed to widen drilling hole and built a base for their production.

The newly developed bit is of great technological and economic significance.

This development makes it possible to produce high-performance diamond bit with locally available raw materials.

The new bit has already been accepted by some prospecting units, mines and collieries in the country.

Tungsten-Carbide Drill!!! 😆

Kim Jong Un, Focus of Worldwide Attention
Pyongyang, March 1 (KCNA) — Minjok Thongsin, an Internet newspaper of Koreans in the United States, on Feb. 24 carried its correspondent’s article on the commemorations of the Day of the Shining Star (Feb. 16), the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il.
The recent successful commemorations, in the wake of the events held to mourn over the demise of Kim Jong Il last year, were attributable to the leadership ability of Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un, and they evoked lively response from among overseas Koreans and foreigners who took part in them, the article noted, and said:Kim Jong Un has been designated as one of the ten famous persons in the world after he began making public appearance in September 2010.The U.S. weekly magazine Times, well known in the Western society, highlighted him in its last issue of February.Posted in GOOGLE were more than 67.40 million English news stories about Kim Jong Un, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea, or 230 000 per hour, in 10 odd days of December last year after the demise of Kim Jong Il.If the news items in other languages are added, the figure is believed to be much higher, an indication that the international community is paying close attention to Kim Jong Un.As the youngest leader in the world, he began drawing the greatest attention in the shortest period ever in the history of humankind, striking the world with admiration, the article said.

They know we are watching him!!!
