KRISTENPOWERS

Our phoney god-king gave a demagogue filled State of the Union Address last night. Rather than offer a positive vision and calling for national unity, he demonized his opponents and lied. His biggest lie was that al-Qaeda is defeated and smashed, despite the fact they have seized much of Syria and recently took over a major air base in Northern Syria. The American Pharaoh then called for more government control over people’s lives. There was no new ideas in Obama’s speech, it was all Progressive talking points. That said, the media is claiming it was a historic speech and one for the ages!

Kirsten Powers is a Moderate Liberal. Although I disagree with her on some issues, she’s not far Left and actually can be reasoned with. She’s a liberal out of naivete, not maliciousness like Obama or Charles Johnson. Recently Kirsten Powers has not been towing the Progressive talking pints. She’s called out the media for Obama worship and has criticizes the demagoguery of the regime. Now she picks apart the god-king’s SOTU address last night as nothing but the same old 1960’s Leftist cliches.

If the State of the Union address Tuesday night is any indication, it appears President Obama’s chief speechwriter has been replaced by a cliché-generator circa 1960. His erstwhile oratory was a melee of cringe-inducing lines ripped straight from a sit-in.

The commander in chief waxed about children being important for our future and how we should be a country where “if you work hard and meet your responsibilities, you can get ahead.” Which we are for the most part, anyway. Also, isn’t there a rule about how many times you can use the same line in a speech? Doesn’t basic etiquette and decency prevent us from ever hearing this again: “A tax code that ensures billionaires with high-powered accountants can’t pay a lower rate than their hard-working secretaries.” Yes, we know: Warren Buffett is your friend and his secretary pays a higher tax rate that he does. Is this really the only way to demonstrate the tax code needs to be reformed?

The president has only a few opportunities to speak to the nation, and he blew this one. It was so hackish, so devoid of any theme or purpose, that it makes one wonder whether part of Obama just wants to see how bad he can be before his cultists in the news media can see it.

[….]

Contrary to the claims of both sides, Obama is not a liberal visionary with deep desires to institute a progressive agenda. If he is, he’s a miserable failure.

Kirsten Powers is spot on about Obaama’s speech and the fact he is a failure! He was neither innovative nor creative. Instead it was the same old demagogue nonsense that his adoring media loves to claim as awesome.

In a just world Obama would be a laughing stock, but we do not live in a just world. Thanks to the Media-Entertainment Industrial complex, Obama has been turned into a man-god who the majority of Americans adore despite his failures. I salute Powers for being one of the few Liberals who see through this charade. If there were more Democrats like Powers, this nation would be better off.
