George Galloway, a British lawmaker known for his anti-Israel positions and support of Hamas, caused a minor uproar at Oxford University when he abruptly left a debate after realizing his opponent is Israeli.
“I have been misled,” said Galloway when Eylon Aslan-Levy, an Israeli student, confessed his nationality.

“I don’t debate with Israelis,” Galloway said, got up hurriedly, got his coat, and stormed out.
Upon leaving he reiterated: “I don’t recognize Israel and I don’t debate with Israelis.”

A massive car bomb explosion in the Syrian capital, Damascus, has killed at least 53 people and injured another 200, reports say.
Syria blamed “terrorist groups linked to al-Qaeda” for the blast, which hit a central district near the headquarters of Syria’s ruling Baath Party.
TV pictures showed images of bodies, wrecked cars and shattered windows.
The violence comes as Russia and the Arab League say they want to broker direct government-opposition talks.
No group has yet admitted the attack.
The Syrian foreign ministry blamed the bombing on “armed terrorist groups linked to al-Qaeda that receive financial and logistic help from abroad”.
The militant Islamist al-Nusra Front previously said it had carried out many of the bombings that have rocked Syria since the uprising began in March 2011

Syrian rebels have reportedly bombed two compounds operated by the Lebanese terror organization Hezbollah, the main Syrian opposition group announced Thursday.
The Free Syrian Army (FSA) claims its forces bombed Hezbollah facilities in Lebanon and Syria, a cross-border raid that indicates the rebels’ desire to increase their attacks on allies of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Assad gave sanctuary to al-Qaeda during the Iraq War. Now they have turned their guns on his regime and their former allies Hizb’Allah. I am enjoying this conflict with a passion.
