This year archaeologists announced that bones discovered in a Hopewell Mound in Illinois did not belong to a dog, as previously supposed, but to a baby bobcat. It is the first known example of a bobcat buried like a human. The Illinois State Archaeological Survey produced this short video that explores this remarkable discovery.
