Good morning! Sorry to open with crappy news, but this is probably going to be big.

Spectator US is running a story saying that Jared Kushner gave the Saudis the ok to kill Khashoggi, Turkey intercepted the call and used it to blackmail Trump into pulling out of Syria.

The story is ALL OVER the place. The name on the byline is ‘Cockburn’. If that’s Alexander Cockburn, he’s been a POS for decades. But I don’t know.

There are enough logic holes to drive a convoy thru the story, but we all know how that works

    Happy Monday!

    @ coldwarrior:

of course. Not least that he was murdered IN TURKEY and Turkish intel monitored the entire event.

I’ll tell you the dots to connect if past experience is any guide.

WaPo first. The foreign opinion page editor, Karen Atillih (sp?) is a Qatari/MB plant who printed Khashoggi’s crap and gave him cover as a ‘journalist’. This hasn’t shown up there yet, but it will.

If ‘Cockburn’ is Alexander Cockburn, this guy has been an anti-Israeli scold for decades and has contacts at State going back years.

Unfortunately, Steve Bannon. Simply because he HATES Jared & Ivanka and has planted stories about them before, most recently about a vacation in 2016 they took w/an unnamed ‘Russia billionaire’ in Croatia. That was w/in the last week.

This has Sydney Blumenthal’s stink all over it. Accusing Trump of complicity-by-association in the murder of a Muslim Brotherhood spy who the entire Washington establishment has given cover to as a journalist right after Lee Smith’s book hits the big time is no coinky-dink. Blumenthal tried to stop publication and got told to piss up a rope. He’s the dirtiest player in DC and is separated from a real murderer, Brett Kimberlin by one degree, Cody Shearer.

In the meantime, it looks like it’s going to be a really nice day, I think I’ll go enjoy it.

This is hilarious on so many levels

UK’s Labour Party will examine proposal to ban private jets

Andy McDonald, the opposition spokesman for the transport sector, said a report from the Common Wealth think-tank proposing a ban on private jets made a “very convincing argument”.

“Why is the government enabling billionaires to trash the climate when it’s the rest of us who will suffer the consequences?” he said in a statement.

“In just a few years’ time, it will be possible for these journeys to be made by electric aircraft – so long as [the] government puts in place the right incentives. Labour will examine these proposals closely and consult with industry on the introduction of a phase-out date for the use of fossil fuel private jets.”

Chris Plante just picked up the Khashoggi story. “So a Saudi asked a Jew for permissions to kill a Muslim?”

Gordon Chang on Sara Carter dot com warns the U.S. about China.

“This is the Third Reich in the 21st century,” said Chang.

China’s policy “is incompatibility with our system. We are unfortunately going to have to reverse course and disengage from China to protect ourselves – to reduce our vulnerability to an extremely dangerous actor.”

This reporter was recently in Japan and South Korea with Chang and other experts who attended the international CPAC conventions. It is an international effort to connect with foreign allies who are battling increased pressure by socialist and leftist leaders bent on targeting open markets, democracy and independence.

“What we have to do ultimately is to disengage from China to get our companies out of China, to get China out of the United States because we cannot live with this militant Communist superstate that takes the position that China is the world’s only sovereign state,” said Chang. He noted that the Chinese government sees the U.S. as basically subjects of Beijing’s expansion and that the communist government believes “Americans must acknowledge Chinese sovereignty and obey them.”

He noted that the Trump administration must “continue to impose high tariffs.” Chang does not believe that the current proposed trade deal with China will change Beijing’s efforts to take economic control or curtail the Chinese military and intelligence apparatus from stealing intellectual property.

“China has been stealing hundreds of billions of dollars of U.S. intellectual property each year,” he said. “And I don’t think we’re going to stop that with a Phase 1 trade deal.So get our companies out of China,” he added. “That will reduce their opportunity for stealing from us right now.”

Attention Sidney – Google “Near v. Minnesota” and the doctrine of Prior Restraint. You may not halt publication. If there are falsehoods, you have the legal recourse of a libel action (ask Leon Uris about it – he faced a libel suit over “Exodus” which he fictionalized in “QBVII”). You do not have the right to stop publication of a book.

I’m thinking you will never file that libel suit. Because…discovery.

    @ eaglesoars:

This was the modus operandi of the Government and Weissman in dealing with the Arthur Andersen plaintiffs and also the witnesses in the Stevens prosecution. They are famous for proclaiming that summaries are sufficient to satisfy Brady requirements; the rebuttal to that argument of course is that the 302 is the best evidence, not the summary, and should be produced. It appears that the government’s policy is to write up the 302, prepare summary in case Brady evidence is compelled, and then destroy the 302.

It’s been suggested that going forward, interviews should be audiotaped only and that the transcript serve as the report.

I see that Pats lost last night. I figure the refs will still work overtime to get them in the Super Bowl. The nightmare Super Bowl scenario as far as I can see would be the Patriots and San Francisco in the Title Game. Hell, they can’t even fill the stands in San Francisco most games. This is a really good thread by somebody who was a Fed prosecutor for 22 years on the legal reasoning behind Powell’s angle of attack using Brady

1/Off top of my head–here’s a primer on why all 302s, including early drafts tracking changes, were important to defense of Flynn. Keep in mind that most/nearly all Fed. Judges do not require production of Brady prior to defendant being charged. Sullivan is nearly alone on this.

Sundance has the write-up on Powell’s sur-surreply. Here’s a little nugget I never knew about

Flynn’s original defense lawyers (firm: Covington, Kelner, Anthony, and Langton Inc.) were the attorneys who advised Flynn on how to complete the FARA paperwork/filing. When the DOJ threatened to use the FARA filing as evidence against Flynn, and then later against Michael Flynn Jr., in essence the DOJ was accusing Covington of participating in the manufacturing false documentation.

The Covington lawyers held a material interest in the DOJ dropping the FARA aspect to their prosecution; and by extension the Covington lawyers recommending that Flynn accept a plea agreement to remove that legal issue was a profound conflict.

Joy Behar Suggests That Democrats Shouldn’t Warn Americans ‘Ahead Of Time’ Before Taking Their Guns

ABC’s “The View” co-host Joy Behar suggested on Monday that Democrats should wait until they are elected into public office before they reveal to the American people their true political intentions.

“They should not tell everything they’re going to do,” Behar said. “Like if you are going to take people’s guns away, wait until you get elected and then take the guns away. Don’t tell them ahead of time.”

“That’s what people like me think you’re going to do,” co-host Meghan McCain swiftly responded.

Behar’s remarks arose during a segment where the panel was discussing former Rep. Beto O’Rourke’s (D-TX) decision to end his presidential campaign and drop out of the race for the Democratic nomination.

Trump restores Navy SEAL Gallagher to rank of chief again

President Donald J. Trump has decided to restore convicted SEAL Edward Gallagher’s pay grade to chief petty officer, overriding a decision last week by the Navy’s top admiral, Fox News reports

“This president recognizes the injustice of it,” Pete Hegseth said during Fox and Friends after speaking with the president. “You train someone to go fight and kill the enemy. Then they go kill the enemy the way someone doesn’t like, and then we put them in jail or we throw the book at them.”.

    —-

The family of former Navy SEAL Chief Edward “Eddie” Gallagher, who in July was found guilty of posing with the corpse of a 17-year-old ISIS fighter while on deployment to Mosul, Iraq, in 2017, is asking President Donald Trump for a pardon.

On Tuesday, Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Mike Gilday issued the final decision on the trial, upholding the guilty verdict and the demotion of Gallagher from Chief to First Class Petty Officer, reducing his lifetime pension.

“Enough is enough,” Andrea Gallagher, Edward Gallagher’s wife, said Friday, Nov. 1. “The Navy should have let him retire as the rank of Chief … . They also stripped him of his Silver Star which he rated and we want that back.”

Andrea Gallagher, on Thursday, took to social media, asking members of Congress to sign onto a letter to Trump and “right the wrongdoing of the Navy leadership.” She also asked members of the public to encourage their congressional representatives to sign the letter.

I completely agree. I did a lot of my breadth requirements at the JC level in high school (permitted) and had them transferred to Cal. Classes are smaller, instructors are in more personable. I did my natural and biological sciences at Solano College (FREE) and was able to get acclimated to the college culture slowly. We came to California from Boston and the graduation requirements from the latter were far stricter so that my senior year of high school, I only had to take P.E. as I had satisfied everything else. California sure has its priorities straight. Only two years of English, but dammit – you WILL have four years of P.E.

She’s not my district so I didn’t get to vote against her, Kathy Tran is up for re-election I think. She’s the woman who introduced legislation for infanticide. I’ve heard turnout is low, so that’s probably hard-core lefties coming out. I definitely voted against our sanctuary sheriff. Soros has been POURING money in here. blech

    Of course they will.

A National Health Service (NHS) trust has announced that it will withdraw treatment from patients it deems to be racist or sexist.
    .
    .
British state authorities have previously proved somewhat overzealous in their enforcement of political correctness, with foster parents caring for three “not indigenous White British” children having them taken away by Labour-run Rotherham Borough Council in 2012 because they were members of the UK Independence Party (UKIP), then led by Nigel Farage.

Mark Meadows says the media is getting the story WRONG, that Ambassador Sonland is NOT testifying that there was a quid pro quo!

Seeing many overblown (and outright false) reports about Ambassador Sondland’s testimony. Here’s what he actually said.

    1. I did not (and still don’t) know why aid was held up
    2. I “PRESUMED” it was because of corruption
    3. I told Yermak my assumption

    See paragraph 4 here:

Rotherham Borough Colncil was captured by neo-Marxists 20 years ago and it has n=been all down hill since then with thousands of sexual grooming cases reported where anglo-children and young girls have been captured and groomed by sub-continent Pakastani and Indian muslim immigrants.

The local police force were totally ineffective as political pressure came onto them to ignore blatant grooming cases to the point where the police were complicit in ignoring this criminal behaviour.

Even now after all of this illegal political meddling in the law has been manifest the same official law breaking by the local council and police remains a problem and the criminals still prey in innocent white children.

This is so sick and shows British neo-marxists elites to be the crininals they are.

When I moved to VA in 1987 it was conservative. I didn’t care much about it at the time except for the gun laws, just in case (had a rotten ex). I didn’t start up with weapons again until Virginia Tech. That’s when I got formal training, got my own weapons, not the ones Dad had loaned me.

This crew WILL take the guns, murder babies after they’re born, and let MS-13 who are INFESTING THIS PLACE run wild. About a year ago, they were finding body parts of teen girls in a park not far from my house.

We both have medical issues. I wanted to stay in Virginia, I was looking at rural areas, but not with this. Iron Fist kept telling me to come to Knoxville. Not just because we were best buds but the culture was red. They have good medical facilities, and good veterinarian facilities. A women in California became the latest person to fall victim to the Popeyes chicken sandwich pandemonium on Tuesday when she brazenly attempted to cut in line at a local drive-thru but inadvertently ended up destroying her own car. The humble dose of instant karma was captured on video by a number of perplexed diners at a Los Angeles branch of the eatery, who can be heard laughing at the unidentified motorist throughout the incident. The woman, driving an early 2000s silver Mercedes, can been seen trying to force her vehicle between a pillar and in front of another car in the line. Despite the opening being quite obviously too narrow

He’s asking for a “recanvass” of the votes. Personally, I think he should claim irregularities, voter suppression and say he’s the real Governor of Kentucky. He should get some sweet gigs on CNN and MSNBC for it.

On Breitbart News on XM, they were speculating one of the problems Bevins had was that he was for expanding healthcare or something and never followed through on the promise. Democrats should take note since THAT was the issue they ran on in 2018 and so far have delivered nothing. It was Trump that’s been trying to fix healthcare and the GOP, as usual, hasn’t helped.

But Dems have done NOTHING. Haven’t passed the new treaty with Mexico and Canada which will help American workers, American industry and American jobs. And have done nothing on health care but propose pie in the sky unworkable Medicare for all.
