QE (Qualitative Easing the RBNZ style of printing $NZ100b) will put a lot of pressure on the value
of NZD. Any organisation including the Govt with offshore loans will be sweating bricks right now on the basis that the NZD could suffer a major devaluation. Fonterra (the largest Dairy company globally) and NZ’s largest company should in my opinion never have had the investment in Chinese farms in the first place. That was is well outside their brief and NZ Foreign Affairs and Trade should have warned Fonterra as much years ago.
Selling up surplus assets to pay down foreign debt right now is the right conservative strategy., even if they do so at a loss and to China’s gain! What were NZ Trade and Development Ministries thinking by allowing Chinese (State owned companies) to bid for and purchase prime day farmland in NZ anyway? Why did Fonterra buy Chinese day farms and then transfer NZ dairy technology to a potential competitor? Now those farms will be sold at a loss so the Chinese get a double bonus, they repurchase Chinese farms at large markdowns and get to keep the technology transfers.

If it was someone on staff who spread it to the others, one would expect that one of the staffers would have gotten sick more than a week ago and the Press Corpse would have been all over that. Then, those exposed [because they weren’t wearing masks of course] would have tested positive later. However, that doesn’t seem to be what has happened everyone has come up positive within a few days of one another. That seems to point to mass exposure at some point of this specific group of people. … and my understanding is that Hope Hicks always did wear a mask and I’m pretty sure others did as well because they are always pictured with face diapers on. Also, I would be very surprised if all of the staff and first family weren’t being tested on a near daily basis, so they should be able to track where this came from. So, am I missing something here?

One first world hit I took from the pandemic is that all the bakeries within 30 miles of me closed. And it looks like that might be permanent for the one I liked. So I can only buy crappy bread from Safeway now.
Maybe I need to travel to North Africa. That was where I thought I had the best bread in the world. Lot of flies but the bread was great.

I have one too, and I love it. but lemme tell ya – no knead bread is also no-clean-up bread. The texture is not as fine, but it really is the easiest thing in the world. You just have to time it for however long you want it to rise.
I love the rosemary bread from the recipe book that came with it and I just make the no-knead version.
