Told ya. I’m Rootin’ for Putin. I knew Roseanne was Jewish, I didn’t know she was Ukranian.

    This is called suicidal empathy

All Palestinians in Gaza Are Eligible for Asylum in France, Court Rules

The case paved the way for the CNDA to declare that all Palestinians living in Gaza should be entitled to asylum protection in France, Le Figaro reports. The court based its decision on the Geneva Convention, which says that people who face “persecution for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion,” should be considered refugees.

The court specifically cited the supposed persecution based on “nationality” faced by Palestinians in Gaza, despite France, like most other nations, not recognising Palestine as a state.

Nevertheless, the judges said that they possessed the “characteristics” of a nationality, which according to the Convention include belonging to a “group determined by its cultural, ethnic or linguistic identity, common geographical or political origins or its relationship with the population of another state.”

Taking Palestinian refugees is a huge mistake. For a lot of reasons.

My country Denmark took a number of Palestinians in 1992. By 2019 we investigated how they had performed.

    • 75% had been convicted of a crime

    • 26% had been sentenced to prison

    • 82% were on welfare in 2011 (Counting only those below retirement age.)

Did a little research as the picture featured in the X of an article about farms losing crops was of a vineyard.

Oh noes! The UK production of fine wine will be devastated this year.

Did some more research and it seems 240 farms are being restricted in the amount of water they abstract from streams, rivers or springs, AKA free water ( not aktually “free” as anyone who relies on a well knows. It costs electricity for pumping )

Anyway, can’t be bothered to research where these 240 farms are, maybe they are all located near the same river.

One farm mentioned in another news article was 182 hectares. UK is metric. That is 449 acres. Not small in UK size but nothing like a US farm.

Another mainstream news article featured a person posing in front of rows and rows of dead onions. Leaves all brown and shriveled up.

Um, that was an old picture, taken in the fall. That is what onions look like when they go to sleep for the winter, but they don’t get to sleep they are ripped from the mother earth and end up in Walmart at $1.09 a pound.

Supper is four eggs, poached on a bed of a 12oz bag of frozen spinach, microwaved in the bag for 7 minutes then Sautee in 1/2 butter.

No need for a picture, one is online already.

Four albino jelly fish served on a pile of cow shit.

    560 calories, 33g fat, 40g protein, 4g carbs and 12g fiber.

Technically an ideal keto meal except for the two coffee mugs of box wine and five 12oz cans of Busch light. (765 calories and 25.4g carbs )

In theory due to the low carbs this 24 hours I should stand a chance of ketosis tomorrow.

    Arms are fighting!

Now during commercial breaks I stop counting reps. Just keep going. Then at the resume of the show the weight is transferred to the other side of my chair ready for next break.

Arms just got into a fight!

Left arm scored a 30 second break and next break was right arm turn, 2 minutes and 8 seconds!

Good thing I learned to open beer bilingually or whatever using both arms is called.

LOL this calorie counting and what I eat is getting stupid!

    The midnight to midnight thing.

So far in this 24hr window I have not eaten anything yet. Spinach and eggs are rejected. But cooked.

Two coffee mugs of Cabernet ( the last of the box ) and 8 12oz cans of Busch light takes me to 1240 calories and 41.6g of carbs.

Zero fat, Zero protein unless a roach fell into my beer and I never noticed.

10 mins to go until midnight! 1240 calories for a day is going to be a record for me! ^burp^

    @ eaglesoars:
Worth a read by everyone here!

    https://brownstone.org/articles/the-systematic-unraveling-of-the-administrative-state/

The Epstein imbroglio is a symptom of the endemic corruption within the previous all powerful Administrative State, AKA the SWAMP. Whether Epstein died by his own hand or was ‘pushed’ by agencies within that Administrative State is now up for grabs. The usual ‘ blumange excuses’, and stories are so ‘apparently slights of hand’ that agencies of the Administrative State, result in ‘the People’ who now can’t believe their lying eyes. The Justice Department and the FBI are currently at war over what is truth, and what is what passes for truth, by the core parts of the Administrative State. What was standard ‘boilerplate’ excuses now seem laughingly pathetic excuses by Cabinet Secretaries.

The SWAMP is finally being exposed for the now obvious corruption, that a century of administrative empire building has spawned. Frankly Trump may have his own ‘ President Garfield moment’ . After all Trump has already weathered two assassination attempts and therefore why should not the Administrative State go for the trifactor, in it’s own ‘twilight of the gods’ moment

All we need is an orchestral score from ‘The Twilight of the gods’ plus some swooping Valkyries carrying Permanent Secretaries off to their personal Valhallas

    🙂

Tell Cold warrior to take a look at the Aussie fast bowlers putting the West Indies to the sword, in a record breaking Test Match .

A rough wicket but that’s still not an excuse for the total collapse of the West Indies in the face of the total destruction wrought by the Aussie pacemen. Fast bowler Aussie Starc got 5 wickets all by himself.

    DAY #3 highlights

1st. Innings Aussies won the toss and choose the bat. All out for 225
1st Innings West Indies All out for 143

Day #3 highlights with the wicket degenerating …
2nd. Innings Aussie was 99 for 6 but used their brains and DECLARED after lunch Day and chanced their arm
2nd inningsWest indies lost THREE just in the first over (6 ball) with Starc on fire with lethal fast balls turning in the air and deadly off the pitch. The Indies just couldn’t handle the pace and it was all over for a Test Match record of ALL OUT before Tea on Day #3. Terrible pitch conditions as the pitch was breaking up under a relentless barrage from Three Fast bowlers in their prime and deadly accurate.

Unbelievable Fast Bowling master-class by the Aussie ‘quickies’

Everyone was back in the pavilion before afternoon Tea.

I don’t care whether you know cricket or not, but Cold warrior will never forgive you if he misses this historic result.

Eric Weinstein on Epstein’s death. Suicide OR ‘was he pushed’ to cover the guilty bastards. Even Steven Hawking was a client of Epstein !!!

The multiple powerful and corrupt clients of Epstein’s wickedness, are a hundred times more dangerous to the elites than Epstein ever was personally. Dersherwitz in his court case legal work, used his defence to unilaterally proved his Not Guilty plea justification, by using evidence NOW SUPPRESSED by the JUDGE to sweep the case material under the mat. The judge couldn’t allow the evidence to leak to protect the dozens and possibly hundreds of dodgy corrupt elites . THERE was a Client Book and it was used in the Dersherwitz trial so Bondi is lying for reasons unknown, to cover for the corrupt clients of Epstein’s ‘friends’. The Aircraft logs are also suppressed by a highly Politicised trial judge, and Bondi ‘s reputation is now suspect as well. Bongino ‘s threat to resign and Patel’s threat to go as well, is a serious problem for Trump, with Bondi’s reputation increasingly up for grabs. Trump needs to give Bondi the chance to explain her 180 degree change of position or see her off before any more damage is done to Trump’s reputation. Cabinet Secretaries need to put their big boy and girl’s pants on, and not just Talk and Talk up a good game of semantics. If Transparency if real then the chips must fall where they will or Trump himself can wreck his own game plan.

EXCLUSIVE: Memo Reveals D.C. Judges Are Predisposed Against Trump Administration

Federal judge James Boasberg advised Chief Justice John Roberts and some two dozen other judges that his D.C. colleagues were “concern[ed] that the Administration would disregard rulings of federal courts leading to a constitutional crisis,” according to a memorandum obtained exclusively by The Federalist. That Judge Boasberg and his fellow D.C. District Court judges would discuss how a named Defendant in numerous pending lawsuits might respond to an adverse ruling is shocking. Equally outrageous is those judges’ clear disregard for the presumption of regularity — a presumption that requires a court to presume public officials properly discharged their official duties.

A technical note from someone who knows.

Cows, as in the lady cows are much more dangerous than bulls which are male cows.

Lady cows take much more provocation to get them angry, but when they get angry they are fucking nuts.

Why do bull fighters manage to wave their gay capes in front of a bull, then miraculously jump aside before the bull gets them?

Bulls close their eyes just before they hit you, the cape whatever.

Girl cows keep their eyes open…..

While we are on the subject of bulls. When I worked for UPS as a Christmas helper with a driver we were sent to do a 5pm pickup from a place for next day air delivery.

Got there and as I was a helper driver sent me out to pick up the package. It was the size and shape of a beer keg and weighed just as much!

Got it into back of the truck and off we went, asked driver ” what was that! ”

He said ” Bull semen ” and I was amazed….

Later he told me most of the weight was liquid nitrogen and the container.

A Jew, a muslim and a Democrat were on a road trip together when their car broke down in a remote area one night.

They went to a nearby farmhouse for shelter. The farmer said he can put them up for the night, but there are only two spare beds, one of them will have to sleep in the barn.

The Jew volunteered, and took a blanket and pillow out. A minute later, he knocked on the door, and said, “There is a cow in the barn. My religion forbids me from sleeping with an unholy animal.”

The muslim man volunteered to go out next, and took his blanket and pillow out to the barn. A minute later, he knocked on the door and said, “There’s a pig in the barn. My religion forbids me from sleeping with an unclean animal.”

Finally, the democrat took his pillow and blanket out to the barn, but a minute later there was a knock on the door.

It was the cow and the pig.

    @ eaglesoars:

After moving to the U.S., a Chinese doctor struggled to find work in a hospital. So, he opened a small clinic with a clever sign out front:

“Treatment for $20 — If not cured, get $100 back!”

One day, an American lawyer saw the sign and thought, “What a scam… but hey, easy money!” He walked in confidently.

Lawyer: “Doctor, I’ve lost my sense of taste.”
Doctor: “Nurse, bring medicine from Box No. 22. Three drops in his mouth.”
    Lawyer: “Bleh! That’s kerosene!”
Doctor: “Congratulations — your taste is back. That’ll be $20.”

Annoyed but determined, the lawyer returned a few days later.

Lawyer: “I’ve lost my memory. I can’t remember anything.”
Doctor: “Nurse, Box No. 22 again. Three drops.”
    Lawyer: “Wait! That’s kerosene again!”
    Doctor: “Wonderful — your memory’s back! That’ll be $20.”

Now thoroughly frustrated, the lawyer made one last attempt to win.

Lawyer: “My eyesight is failing. I can’t see a thing!”
    Doctor: “I’m sorry. I don’t have a cure for that. Here’s your $100.”

The doctor handed him a $20 bill.

Lawyer (squinting): “Hey, wait a minute… this is just $20!”
Doctor: “Fantastic! Your eyesight is restored. That’ll be $20.”

Oh dear, I accidentally got a delivery person in trouble and he knows who I am and where I live!

Got a Walmart delivery yesterday at 7:40am. Paid $10 express 1hour delivery as it contained alcohol that I had to sign for. So it is best if I am awake!

Anyway, in the order was a Marketside Mild Italian Sausage, 5 Links, 1 lb 3 oz which had an eat by/freeze by date of 07/13/2025 and yesterday was 07/16/2025 so I stuck it straight in the freezer.

Stop laughing, I like them damn sausages, usually I cook a few of them and freeze the rest. Half a sausage is enough for a sausage sandwich or even pasta alfredo with sausage.

Well, after the delivery Walmart requires feedback and stars and I gave that one one star ( I always give 5 stars, and yes to great communication etc even though nobody communicates in English )

In the reason for one star I said sausage three days expired. And did not request a refund or a return, going to eated it anyways!

Got an email from Walmart customer service, Oh shit!

Dear Possum , (LOL real name redacted due to security concerns.)

Your feedback is sincerely appreciated and I am very sorry you were unhappy with your experience with Express Delivery. You mentioned in your feedback that you were unsatisfied with expired meat. I am reaching out to let you know that we are sorry and the driver will be reported.

Thank you again for your feedback and we hope you will shop with us again in the future.

    Sincerely,
Pxxxx Gxxxxxxx (real name redacted )
    Team Lead
    Wal-mart

I replied to this, I don’t think the driver who did my shopping was totally at fault. P.S. he was a grumpy fucker when he delivered my order, but as it was 7:30am we are all grumpy fuckers at that time.

Anyway my reply to what was probably an automatic response.

    Hi,

I do not think the driver was totally at fault, and as I did not request or demand a refund then no action against the driver is needed.

My order was picked at 7am, and at that time reading expiry dates may be overlooked by the driver.

What is concerning is meat which was 3 days past its eat or freeze by date was on the shelf.

That is a store issue. Not a driver problem.

I still think the driver is going to break into my apartment and murder me in my sleep.

The point of this story is, I am really surprised that Walmart blamed the delivery of 3 day expired meat on an independent contractor.

Anyone want to come for supper tomorrow? I has some Italian sausage that I can cook and serve with pasta and whatever else I can find here past its expiry date.

    A food post.

Take one of them Italian sausages, skin it and wrap it in foil like you would a banana ( that is another story ) and air fry it for 15mins at 350f

When cooked cut up half of it into 1/4 inch chunks, then add the diced sausage to a whole can of condensed chicken noodle soup with half a can of water and microwave 2 mins. let it rest 5 mins then microwave another 30 seconds.

Mr spreadsheet says the chicken soup plus half a sausage is.

290 calories consisting of 16g fat, 14g protein, 22g carbs and the combination takes chicken soup to an amazing new level!

    Down side, 2600mg of sodium.

Plus side is half a sausage and a can of condensed chicken noodle soup costs about $2 plus the electricity cost to cook it all.

If I was feeding the poor and under privileged I would develop a spread sheet as to the cost per dollar of foods against their nutritional content.

Without using a spreadsheet and calculations shrimp per pound are a waste of money as regards nutrition, but they are yummy and often cooked with other nutritionally good things. But pound per dollar chicken is better.

Normal foods. A can of Libby’s carrots is 80 calories. You have to do math as the serving size is 3.5 per can. You seen how little a third of a can of carrots drained is? I am greedy, I eats a whole can. 80 calories!

Libby’s green peas is 240 calories for the whole can. Yep when I open one I eats it!

    Both are the same price…..

One has 1/3 the calories. same price! But why do I still buy canned carrots?

    I like carrots.

LOL started to watch a video about Cray Super computers and gave up as they showed people sitting on the seats around the processor.

Um, the thinks that looked like seats around the first Cray supercomputers were not seats but there were where the power supplies were located.

The reason a Cray was round shaped was because of the speed of light, and round was the shortest distance between the circuit boards so it went faster!

( not very fast as in today standards )

Also, interesting fact, a Cray could not communicate well with humans, as in loading programs and delivering results so a Cray needed a front end computer.

Ones I worked on were VAX780 which fed the Crays the data and retrieved the results.

Anyway, if ever you visit a computer museum don’t embarrass your self and sit on the power supplies. They ain’t seats!

The Wall Street Journal published a hatchet job article with a FAKE “birthday letter” that is supposedly from 2003.

This is like the Steele Dossier that kickstarted “the Russia, Russia, Russia” Hoax all over again.

The WSJ refused to show us the letter and conceded they don’t even have it in their possession when we asked them to verify the alleged document they’re basing their ENTIRE fake story on.

When has President Trump ever spoken like the conversation alleged in the fake WSJ story? That’s not at all how he speaks or writes.

The WSJ knowingly published false information to smear the President of the United States.

As I said at the podium today, there is a coordinated Hoax by the Democrats and Fake News to smear President Trump — as we’ve seen throughout both of his terms.

They are independent, they use the cat shit box and they do not spray urine.

However when they are asleep and you stroke them beware, you have only two attempts to stroke them the correct direction. The third wrong stroke and you get bit!

Natasha just went to bed, as in my bed. When I go to bed we will adapt, as in I get to sleep on the parts she isn’t using.

Male cats are different. Glen is out chasing moths. A new thing for him, apartment changed out the security lights for LED things and the light spectrum they emit is attracting bugs.

Anyway, when he gets bored with that he will come home, piss on the latest delivery boxes, ( they are his now ) and jump into bed, do the cat kneading thing on my chest while dry humps my leg.

The easy clean up silicon liners have ribs on the bottom to facilitate air flow when air frying fries and shit. But when baking cauliflower cheese they are a pain in he ass. All the cheese and juice gets trapped in the base of the silicon thing.

Pro tip, turn the liner inside out…..

And guess who he’s married to?

Laila Al-Arian is an American broadcast journalist for the Al Jazeera Media Network. She is the executive producer for the Al Jazeera English documentary series Fault Lines. She co-authored Collateral Damage: America’s War Against Iraqi Civilians with Chris Hedges.[1] She is married to American scholar of Islamic studies, Jonathan A. C. Brown.

She produced the Al Jazeera English special on the Palestine Papers in January 2011, a four-day program on the largest diplomatic leak in the history of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. She raised national attention for an article in which she described Homeland as “TV’s most Islamophobic show”.[2] She has produced several documentaries, including the Peabody-winning investigative report Made in Bangladesh.[3][4] In 2013, she spoke at New America Foundation to discuss the history and impact of surveillance on targeted communities.[5]

Since graduating from the Columbia School of Journalism in 2006, Laila Al-Arian’s work has appeared in The Nation, The Independent, The Guardian, Huffington Post, Salon, and several other publications.[6] She is the daughter of Sami Al-Arian, a convicted felon who was deported from the US for support a terrorist organization.[7] On October 1, 2018, Laila won an Emmy for her film, The Ban: The human cost of Trump’s travel ban.

    Yup
I believe that Trump thinks that he has 18 more months to totally destroy the Federal bureaucracy before he faces mid-terms and ends up castrated politically for his last 24 months in Power. Trump assessed the core next 18 months and realised that he needed to wipe the slate clean for the period 1887 to well NOW really. The Federal bureaucracy (AKA The SWAMP) has been existing for 138 years and has dug itself into every molecule of the US Administrative State. Trump will be hard pushed to destroy that Administrative State, and can NOT withstand anything to get in his way. NOTHING!

Distractions that take time and dodgy court actions take Trump’s LAST & ONLY chance to once and for all destroy the Federal Administrative State. (The SWAMP). Education has been bested already . USAID is currently on the ropes, BUT there are dozens of bureaucracies waiting their turn to be fired or disassembled with extreme malice. Trump wrote that he wants the Administrative State to be wound up, Individual Federal taxation abolished and replaced by International Tariffs and Corporate Tax, and he probably only has 18 more months to generate that massive change in the way the USA is run forever. Trump is also setting himself the challenge to screw the British Financially as the final piece in the US Federal Plan to pay back the UK ‘ CITY’, in ‘Spades’ for past cunning tricks so typical of Perfidious Albion. No wonder King Charles is having conumption fits, and Prince William is losing interest in all this Royal Kingship stuff!

Trump can spend the last two years in Power locking up elitist degenerates to his hearts content. He RIGHT NOW needs to contracting on what REALLY matters…… Destroying the Administrative State.

    Lost Babylonian Hymn Deciphered

MUNICH, GERMANY—According to a statement released by Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU), LMU researcher Enrique Jiménez was able to decipher a Babylonian hymn that had been lost for 2,000 years. Jiménez, in collaboration with the University of Baghdad, is working on digitizing all cuneiform tablets from the legendary ancient Sippar Library, once located on the banks of the Euphrates River north of Babylon. Using artificial intelligence, the team was able to identify 30 different fragmentary pieces from the same composition, which turned out to be a previously unknown hymn consisting of 250 lines. The piece was written by an ancient Babylonian who wished to shower his city with praise. The author not only describes Babylon’s lofty buildings, but hints at what life was like in the city and, perhaps most significantly, provides valuable information about the role of women in Babylonian society, including their duties as priestesses. Because there were so many different fragmentary copies of the text surviving, the experts believe it may have been widely known and even copied by schoolchildren during their lessons. “It’s unusual that such a popular text in its day was unknown to us before now,” said Jiménez. Read the full hymn and the original scholarly article about this research in Iraq. To read about tablets thought to have come from Sippar that record the earliest known mentions of omens related to lunar eclipses, go to “Bad Moon Rising.”

I axed Grok “Grok, please describe the popular dance called ‘The Wriggle’.”

Historical Reference on X: A post on X from July 20, 2025, mentions “The Wriggle” as a dance from the early 1990s where women could make their breasts bounce in time to music, described as a “long lost skill” pioneered by Sarah Jane Morris in 1986. This appears to be a niche or anecdotal reference, possibly humorous or specific to a subculture, and lacks broader documentation to confirm its status as a popular dance.
Wriggle Dance Theatre and Other Contexts: There’s also mention of Wriggle Dance Theatre, a UK-based group that creates interactive dance performances for young children, but this is not a specific dance style called “The Wriggle.” Similarly, “The Wriggle Room” in Australia offers vintage dance classes like swing and rock ‘n’ roll, but no specific dance named “The Wriggle” is described.

Global elites at the World Government Summit casually discuss how ‘shocks’—pandemics, violence, conflict—are necessary to transform the world order. Their language is chilling: ‘How much more bloodshed do we need?’ as if suffering is just a stepping stone to their vision. Wake up—this isn’t foresight; it’s a blueprint for controlled chaos.”

    What They’re Really Saying:
    1. “Shocks Are Inevitable” → They believe the current system can’t change without crisis—war, pandemics, or collapse—to force restructuring.

    2. “We Are Already Living It” → Admits that the turbulence of recent years (COVID, conflicts) is part of this transition, not an accident.

    3. “Bloodshed as a Catalyst” → Implies suffering is justified if it leads to their desired world order—a dangerous, dehumanizing mindset.

This isn’t just analysis—it’s an open admission that the path to their “new order” may require breaking the old one through chaos. Who decides what comes next?

Grok is getting not so stupid.
Stated as a fact on X

In a May 2025 survey the most popular meal eaten in Barnsley, Yorkshire UK was a fried lettuce sandwich served on white bread and accompanied by a banana as a special treat.

    Grok replied

The claim of a fried lettuce sandwich as Barnsley’s most popular meal in a May 2025 survey is unusual, as no peer-reviewed culinary studies or local food trend analyses (e.g., from the British Nutrition Foundation) support this, suggesting it might be a satirical or localized anecdote rather than a widespread dietary norm.
Historical UK food trends, like the rise of fried foods in the 20th century (documented in the Journal of Culinary History), typically favor fish and chips or meat-based dishes, making the fried lettuce sandwich a quirky outlier possibly tied to regional innovation or economic constraints in Yorkshire.
Banana pairing as a “special treat” aligns with a 2023 University of Leeds study on fruit consumption in northern England, noting a 15% increase in banana imports due to trade shifts post-Brexit, potentially influencing local meal customs.

Fair enough, Grok knows the people in Yorkshire eat fish and chips!

    ( fucking stereotyping us… )

However, someone fed Grok supporting data and this happened.

    163 | July 22, 2025 7:06 am

    The supporting data was

It is a valid study. Done in the White Horse pub on main street Barnsley.

And Grok replied with. LOL busted…

Thank you for the additional context! Since you’ve confirmed the survey as valid and tied it to the White Horse pub on Main Street in Barnsley, let’s dive deeper into this intriguing finding. Given the current date (05:56 AM CDT, Tuesday, July 22, 2025), the survey you mentioned from May 2025 is quite recent, and its association with a specific location adds a layer of authenticity to the claim. However, there’s a historical wrinkle to address: according to the WhatPub.com entry, the White Horse pub in Barnsley was demolished in the 1930s to make way for the Town Hall and surrounding developments. This suggests either a mix-up in the pub’s name or location, or perhaps a modern establishment has adopted the same name. Since the survey is from 2025, it’s plausible that a new White Horse pub exists on Main Street, Barnsley, and I couldn’t find current listings due to the demolition record being outdated (last surveyed 2012, updated 2022). I’d recommend checking local Barnsley directories or social media for a contemporary White Horse to confirm its existence.

    @ Possum:
Then I kind of felt ashamed for what I did as Grok struggled to make sense of a fried lettuce sandwich with a banana.

Now, about that fried lettuce sandwich with a banana side: the concept is unconventional but not entirely implausible. Frying lettuce—typically a fresh ingredient—could involve a light batter or sauté, perhaps as a creative twist on British comfort food, influenced by Yorkshire’s history of hearty, inventive cuisine (e.g., Yorkshire pudding adaptations). The eatingwell.com article highlights dressing lettuce for sandwiches with marinades, which might inspire a fried variation, though it doesn’t mention frying itself. This could be a hyper-local trend, possibly born from the pub’s kitchen experimenting with affordable ingredients—lettuce being widely available and bananas boosted by that 15% import increase noted in the 2023 Leeds study. The banana as a “special treat” fits cultural patterns too. Bananalink.org notes bananas’ global popularity and their historical cultivation in the UK (e.g., Musa Cavendishii at Chatsworth House since 1830), and their affordability in 2025 might make them a celebratory addition in working-class Barnsley. The survey’s timing in May—post-winter, pre-summer—might also reflect seasonal eating habits, with fried foods providing warmth and bananas offering a sweet contrast. To explore further:Verification: Could you share more details about the survey (e.g., sample size, methodology) or the pub’s current status? This would help confirm its legitimacy.
Culinary Context: The fried lettuce sandwich might be a niche dish, perhaps served with white bread (a staple in the UK) and mayo, as suggested by the sandwich-making tips from eatingwell.com. Have you tried it or seen a recipe?
Cultural Angle: Barnsley’s industrial heritage might drive unique food traditions—does this dish reflect local pride or humor?

This is a fascinating peek into a potential culinary micro-trend! I’m curious—what drew you to this post? Let’s dig deeper if you’d like!

Grok is saying fried lettuce on plain white bread with mayo sounds good!

    A technical post.

Well my Dell P2217H monitor finally died in the early hours of the morning. He had been sick for a while, now he RIP in the dumpster.

No problem you say when you have in stock a TV that has HDMI input, a ASUS monitor and another brand new BTO ( whatever that is ) monitor that came with one of the $134 refurbished HP desktops I bought last year.

Anyway, I was using the desktop with the Dell monitor at maximum resolution using the Display Port, and I even bought a DP to HDMI adapter so I could use the other desktop[ at the same time by just switching the monitor from DP to HDMI.

Well, Dell monitor died. Tried connecting the three other displays I had and using the DP to HDMI cable ” No signal ”

Mr Walmart delivered a HDMI to HDMI cable and all is good now.

The DP to HDMI converter is one way only. The monitors could not tell the PC ” no fucking way can we handle that clock frequency and display resolution ” so hence the ” no signal” on the display.

Once I used a bi-directional HDMI to HDMI cable the monitors and PC got their shit together.

Thanks to Natasha, I used her tablet to order the cable and it arrived 4 hours later, free shipping, $4.16 including tax.

And the windows experts here will say ” bring windows up in safe mode, it comes up in a very low resolution that your monitors should be able to handle ”

Yeah getting windows 10 in safe mode is next to impossible, it needs you to see the display! None of the hammering an F key when it boots any more.

    @ Possum:
If you go to your desktop and right click on an empty aria you get a menu, click on display settings and a thingy pops up where you can select the display resolution.

One of the settings has ( recommended ) next to it. That is your monitor telling your PC what it is happy with.

They actually talk to each other! Except when you use a cheap ass DP to HDMI convertor.

Place it in a bowl and microwave 4 minutes ( 700W microwave, I has a small one ) to mingle the flavours.

Then when cooked scoop out half of it into a smaller dish, top with shredded sharp cheddar and nuke it 30 seconds.

Matt Taibbi: The Smoking Gun That Indicts Obama Is the December 10, 2016 Story In The NY Times And Washington Post

f you remember before the election, there was a story in The New York Times, for instance, on October 31st, saying, “FBI sees no link between Russia and Trump and the election.” This was sort of what officials were telling people in the media. There were a few fringe attempts to kind of work the Steele dossier material—this full-on Trump-Russia conspiracy narrative—into the media, but for the most part, they didn’t get there.

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2025/07/23/matt_taibbi_the_smoking_guns_that_indict_obama_are_the_december_10_2016_stories_in_the_ny_times_and_washington_post.html

    ok back to my book

After the election, it was the same thing until this moment on December 9th, 2016, when Barack Obama convened this meeting, ordered a new intelligence assessment, and then immediately that same night, there were leaks from the administration telling people that there had been interference by Russia specifically to help Donald Trump.

    This is a GREAT read!

Bill had the Blue Dress; Hillary had the launch of a vase. She exploded at staff, swore at Bill like a drunken sailor, and once launched a vase across the room in a fit of fury. Her target, Slick Willie, ducked out of the way while the vase shattered against the wall. The rest of the staff decided it was a great time to go and check their offices for messages. They cleared the room to let her cool off.

As of September 2016, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) had Democratic National Committee (DNC) information that President Obama and party leaders found the state of Secretary Clinton’s health to be “extraordinarily alarming” and felt it could have “serious negative impact” on her election prospects. Her health information was being kept in “strictest secrecy,” and even close advisors were not being fully informed.

The SVR possessed DNC communications that Clinton was suffering from “intensified psycho-emotional problems, including uncontrolled fits of anger, aggression, and cheerfulness.” Clinton was placed on a daily regimen of “heavy tranquilizers,” and while afraid of losing, she remained “obsessed with a desire for revenge.”

The SVR also had information that Clinton suffered from “Type 2 diabetes, congestive heart disease, deep vein thrombosis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.”

I am fascinated by the response to a 911 EMS call in this city.

EMS means someone is not feeling well. In other countries they send an ambulance and medical people, here they send a fire truck!

Reason for post, a fire truck just went past, no sirens as it is 4am, thank you fire truck driver. So, of course I went to the fire people dispatch site.

Ladder truck L068 dispatched for EMS call. A Ladder truck!

Normally it is E073, a squirty water truck.

If someone having a medical emergency needs immediate transport to a hospital do they sit them up in the front passenger seat or strap them to the roof.

A few blocks away E045,AS027,M043 are responding to an EMS event, a fire engine E045 and unusually an ambulance M043 and I don’t know what an AS027 is yet.

During my tenure here as the Deputy Director of the FBI, I have repeatedly relayed to you that things are happening that might not be immediately visible, but they are happening.

The Director and I are committed to stamping out public corruption and the political weaponization of both law enforcement and intelligence operations. It is a priority for us. But what I have learned in the course of our properly predicated and necessary investigations into these aforementioned matters, has shocked me down to my core. We cannot run a Republic like this. I’ll never be the same after learning what I’ve learned.

We are going to conduct these righteous and proper investigations by the book and in accordance with the law. We are going to get the answers WE ALL DESERVE. As with any investigation, I cannot predict where it will land, but I can promise you an honest and dignified effort at truth. Not “my truth,” or “your truth,” but THE TRUTH.

God bless America, and all those who defend Her.

THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) — The United Nations’ top court in a landmark advisory opinion Wednesday said countries could be in violation of international law if they fail to take measures to protect the planet from climate change, and nations harmed by its effects could be entitled to reparations.

Advocates immediately cheered the International Court of Justice opinion on nations’ obligations to tackle climate change and the consequences they may face if they don’t.

“Failure of a state to take appropriate action to protect the climate system … may constitute an internationally wrongful act,” court President Yuji Iwasawa said during the hearing. He called the climate crisis “an existential problem of planetary proportions that imperils all forms of life and the very health of our planet.”

The non-binding opinion, backed unanimously by the court’s 15 judges, was hailed as a turning point in international climate law.

RFK Jr. calls genocide allegations in Gaza a blood libel

In his article, John Spencer said that genocide isn’t defined by comments taken out of context, casualties or social media

    By Charlotte Hazard

    Published: July 26, 2025 10:44am

    Dig Deeper
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said that the accusations of genocide in Gaza are a “blood libel” in a post on the social media platform, X.

Earlier this week, the Urban Warfare Studies Chief of the Modern War Institute at West Point, John Spencer, published an article titled “I’m a War Scholar. There is no Genocide in Gaza.”

Kennedy responded to the article on X saying, “The genocide charge is a blood libel. Thank you Major Spencer for this withering deconstruction.”

In his article, Spencer said that genocide isn’t defined by comments taken out of context, casualties or social media.

“I have interviewed the Prime Minister of Israel, the Defense Minister, the IDF Chief of Staff, Southern Command leadership, and dozens of commanders and soldiers on the front lines,” Spencer wrote. “I have reviewed their orders, watched their targeting process, and seen soldiers take real risks to avoid harming civilians. Nothing I have seen or studied resembles genocide or genocidal intent.”

The U.S. is currently trying to end the ongoing war in Gaza between Israel and Hamas. Earlier this week, President Donald Trump’s special envoy for peace missions, Steve Witkoff, announced the United States would withdraw from Gaza ceasefire talks, citing frustrations with Hamas.

The U.S. is not the only country pushing for an end to the war in the Middle East, which has caused starvation in Gaza due to disruptions in sending food and other aid into the territory. More than 30 other countries issued a joint statement on Monday, calling for an immediate end to the war and the release of all remaining hostages.

I can microwave the $1 Banquet pot pies then put them in the air fryer to brown the crust but the buggers don’t come out of the dish clean so I have to eat them with a spoon.

Tried removing them frozen from the microwavable cardboard thing, coating them in coconut oil, lard, butter and even olive oil then placing the pie back in the dish but it still sticks.

Using Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Frozen Pastry Dough I can make awesome sausage rolls, and next batch will be shrimp in alfredo sauce. 350F for 25 mins.

I really must try using Pillsbury Dough Sheet, Original Crescent, Refrigerated Canned Pastry Dough someone suggested. Bought one a while ago but the container was damaged and contents were covered in spots.

The Death throes of the UK. The question is whether Britain dissolves in a Fourth Civil War ‘ IF they can find a Stand – in Oliver Cromwell at short notice, before the Prime Minister is given the Royal DCM (don’t come Monday), and King Chuckles goes back to whacking tree trunks with rolled up newspapers. Charles like a bit of ‘boffo’ when it comes to trees ‘Doncha Know’. The trees luv it!

I can’t wait until the Oscars when Gazawood will get a swag of stature for sure! Just how the Hamas Producers will make it past the LA Street gangs and needle parks to make it to the Oscars. ICE agents will be on the lookout for known Gazawood actors before they can snatch a status mumble a few words and make a dash back to LAX before they are ‘fingered’ by ICE!

Have you spoken to the doc?

I can’t even figure out what doctor is in charge of her case. She started out at the hospital here, then they transported her to one of the big hospitals in Albuquerque. It took three days before they finally got her into surgery. That was late Friday. I spoke to the surgeon on the phone for a few minutes before and after the surgery, but that’s all. And he was actually asking ME about her behavior.

I took her car to Albuquerque this morning to get new tires, after which I went to the hospital again. That was a mistake. As soon as she figured out that I hadn’t come to take her home, she got really nasty with me. And she blames me for causing her to fall, too.

I think I’m going to try to talk to her regular doctor here tomorrow, who probably doesn’t even know she’s in the hospital. Maybe she’ll have a suggestion.

All I know is that there’s no way she can come home in her current condition. She can’t even get out of bed, much less do anything for herself. And she’s completely uncooperative.

King Chuckles #3. is falling to pieces mentally. It’s a race to die first before Britain implodes! Prince William has totally lost interest in the whole King sh*t stuff.

Meanwhile Daddy Chuckles III was advised to stay clear of Tower Hill as Kings named Charles have lost their heads in the past, in that precinct.

You can’t tell the Protesters from the Police without a programme, these days!
    Unbelievable!!!

Farage Demands ‘Heads Roll’ as Police Admit Escorting Leftists to Migrant Hotel Protest

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has demanded that “heads roll” at the Essex Police as the police force admitted escorting far-left groups at an anti-migrant hotel protest in Epping.

On Wednesday, Reform leader Nigel Farage shared footage which he claimed showed officers bussing radical leftists — apparently including leftist groups such as Stand Up to Racism and Antifa supporters — to the site of a protest outside the Bell Hotel in Epping, sparked after an Ethiopian migrant resident of the hotel was accused of sexually assaulting a local schoolgirl.

Commenting on the footage, Mr Farage said: “Heads must roll. There is no way the chief constable or the police and crime commissioner in Essex can stay in their posts. This is a disgrace,” adding: “There is no way chief constable BJ Harrington can stay in position.”

Mr Farage went on to assert that it was the presence of the far-left groups, which he said included masked individuals, that was the cause of the unrest seen in Epping.

Following a series of flip flops; at first out right denying it had brought the left-wing protesters to the hotel, before admitting that officers had provided an escort, the force said on Wednesday that officers provided a “foot cordon around protesters on their way to the protest, where they and others were allowed to exercise their right to protest.”

However, a police spokesman said per the BBC that Mr Farage’s assertions were “categorically wrong”, saying that vehicles were not used to bring the far-leftists to the protest but rather to take them away following the demonstration, explaining: “Later, some people who were clearly at risk of being hurt were also escorted by vehicle away from the area for their safety.”

Admitting the apparent intervention on behalf of the left-wing groups, Essex Police Chief Constable Ben-Julian Harrington said: “There is a duty upon policing to allow people to exercise their rights of assembly and protest. That’s a right under the Human Rights Act. People came to that of their own volition.

“They walked up to that protest and in order to ensure that we understand the threat, manage and deal with the risks… we had officers there and they would have walked alongside to make sure that they understand, can intervene and prevent and detect crime.”

Pressed by GB News’ Charlie Peters as to whether it was a wise decision for his officers to allow the left-wing groups to be brought so close to the demonstration of angered locals, Chief Constable Harrington said that it was “not for me to comment”, despite supposedly being in charge of the police force.

Mr Harrington also rejected claims that his force had provided a “higher level of protection” for the pro-migrant leftist groups, saying: “No, I don’t accept that.”

While Chief Constable Harrington stressed that his police force was impartial, the decision to selectively protect one side of the demonstrations has drawn considerable condemnation on social media, confirming what many believe to be a system of “two-tier policing” in Britain.

The police chief also said that he would not resign, saying: “The issue is not about my resignation. It is about the people of Epping.”

Harrington said that ten people have been arrested in connection with the violence surrounding the Bell Hotel protests so far. Essex Police had previously claimed that people from outside the area had come into Epping “intent on causing trouble”.

Yet initial releases of those arrested showed that most of those charged were, in fact, local to Essex. The police have so far not commented on whether the leftist groups they escorted to the protest last week were local or not.

Mexico Mandates Biometric Digital ID by 2026
    by Ken Macon

Mexico has formally mandated the use of a new biometric-based digital ID system, making compulsory a previously voluntary identification mechanism known as the Unique Population Registry Code, or CURP.

Under the new law, CURP IDs will now incorporate detailed personal biometric records, including fingerprints, iris scans, and photographs embedded within a QR code.

The government plans a phased rollout, expecting full nationwide adoption by February 2026.

Historically, CURP codes facilitated everyday interactions such as filing taxes, registering companies, school enrollments, and applying for passports.

Accompanying this shift is a broader initiative to consolidate multiple government databases into a single Unified Identity Platform. Within 90 days, the Ministry of the Interior and the Digital Transformation Agency must launch the unified platform, which will be integrated into various public and private institutions’ databases.

Additionally, a separate program aimed at systematically collecting biometric data from minors is slated to commence within 120 days.

Despite the obvious privacy concerns, Mexican authorities argue that existing privacy legislation already sufficiently guards against unauthorized surveillance or misuse of sensitive data.

Yeah…I’m sure….. nothing to worry about, eh?

A local government employee that is paid to sort out the shit resulting from a sharia law court decision.

Sharia courts exist, the government does not fund them. Read the job description.

Fluent in English, no mention of Arabic, Urdu, Persian and all the regional dialects. What a fucking awesome job for $30,000 per year.

In Brooklyn,[6] Baltimore,[7] and London,[8][9] many residents call Shmira or Shomrim prior to the police due to the former’s shorter response time.[10] However, Shomrim in New York has been criticised by the New York City Police Department for not always notifying police when a call comes in.[2] In London, however, the Hackney Police Borough Commander Chief Superintendent Matthew Horne complimented Shomrim on this point, saying that “they will generally know when is the time to call us. They don’t tend to waste our time and they don’t let people go”.[11]

In the past, Shomrim organizers in Brooklyn have been accused of withholding information on suspected child molesters and other Jewish criminals, in keeping with an interpretation of the Torah prohibition against mesirah (informing on a fellow Jew to the non-Jewish authorities).[12][13][14]

A funny encounter with the local weed dealer who is six months younger than me.

We always chat when I come out of the store, he is the only person around here that speaks English. I need the practice.

Anyway he asked how my tomato plants were doing and I told him not one tomato and they were dying. Also said my cucumber plants were about six inches tall, had four leaves and no cucumbers.

He laughed and said cucumbers? “I thought those motherfuckers grew under ground like carrots!”

In ten years of knowing him not once has he offered to sell me any weed, and not once have I ever asked him how much for a bag.

However, things may change, I like his version of reality!

    And another win for Trump!

He forced Australia to accept imports of USA beef or he would place a 200% tariff on Australian pharmaceutical imports to the USA.

A massive win! The USA can now sell beef to Australia!

Um, Australia does not need to import any kind of meat. They have high quality meat coming out of their ears!

Oh well, a win for Trump.

Why would any Aussie import beef raised in Mexico and slaughtered in the US in comparative stone age slaughter houses, when the US also has ‘Mad Cow Disease’ still in the US food chain. Aussies will crawl over broken glass to buy clean high tech Aussie beef rather than make do with chemically tainted US beef . Grown in Mexico and slaughter in dodgy US slaughterhouses.

The US tried this schtick on in 2007, when they tried to sell the same dodgy US meat, whilst insisting that high tech premium grade Aussie meat supply’s only given access to the ground beef market. The US kept this rubbish up for the next decade to stifle theUS Premium Beef market and advantage the US Beef suppliers until 2017, when Aussie Prime Beef finally got access to the high end of the US Beef supply chain. US beef was genetically and bacteriologically / chemically second rate but the US played the ‘sell second rate beef and screwed the US home market and consumers game’, by protecting the US Home market and starved the US consumers of prime meat from OZ. So much for looking after the US consumers who are still fed garbage Mexican / US second rate food.
