Anyone have legal experience? I have a bad feeling I don’t have a case to bring against my accuser. Doesn’t seem to fall into the categories of malicious, intentional harm. I managed to get an APB (all points bulletin)put out on them.. FL troopers found them and pulled them over. The cop looked at my dad and said “call your daughter, I have better things to do”. One of the truckers called me to tell me they were ok.
They were on their way to Reno where they had a great time. Dad didn’t speak to me for a year.
So for Christmas I had a phone installed in his car.

OK before my 5693 followers try turning Campbells Chicken Noodle soup into a gravy, don’t bother. It looks OK but is very runny and bland. I added half a teaspoon of cornstarch to thicken it and as you need to get things at boiling point to cook cornstarch that was 4 minutes in the microwave.
Not impressed. Not doing it again and throwing it away. Well a small amount may end up on my succulent and juicy roast chicken. But not much.
I have much more success using mushroom soup as a gourmet sauce on my meals.
While we are on the subject of mushrooms, FOUND THEM! they were hiding in the freezer.

Well, as nobody here watched the video I will explain.
Toad in the hole is sausages, nice sausages which in the USA are now ” Gourmet ” sausages are embedded in Yorkshire pudding mix then baked at 450F for about 20 mins. I actually pre cook the sausages in a skillet first, then let them cool slightly befor going at it.
Bubble and squeek is fried left overs from the Sunday meal, cabbage, carrots, onions and mash. Mixed together and cooked in a skillet where it makes a squeaking noise as it is cooking. I actually do not often make it freom left overs but create it from scratch. Cabbage is my favorite and I don’t buy a whole cabbage as that is too much for one. What I do buy, and it is more expensive per pound, is the shredded coleslaw tri coloured cabbage bags.
Stew and dumplings yes, make it in the slow cooker. Once it is all cooked for 6hrs on low drop in a few spoons of Bisquik, put it on high and leave an hour.
Shephards pie. Cannot get lamb here, minced or in chunks so no…. However Cottage pie is a regular meal here.
Corned beef hash, tried making it a few times but now a days canned corn beef is too fatty and it just melts and mingles. Best when it stayed in chunks. BUT!!!! It works well with low sodium Spam.
Bread and dripping. Not an option as I do not cook a large beef roast. My father took bread and dripping sandwiches with him to work every day though.
Liver ad onions with mash(ed) potatoes. A regular staple here. One complaint about calves liver in the USA. It is sliced way too thin whether you buy the fresh or frozen kind.
Fish pie is awesome if made like shepherds pie. Cod chunks in a white sauce with peas topped with mash. Not the nasty South West England version that has a pastry crust with fish heads poking out of it!
Peas pudding. Had to Google what that is. It is from further North than me. Sounds like a version of Hummus. Yorkshire we eat mushy peas.
Rice pudding. I cannot make my own but occasionally buy a can when I get a British food order. In the same class is Tapioca and Semolina. Best served with a blob of jam in the middle.
So, not only have I had all these ( except peas pudding ) I often cook most of them for just me.

Looking at my previous post I feel kind of embarrassed. If you watch the video they are all meals for ” Poor and lower class ” people.
A common them except for the rice pudding and bubble and squeak are they are all meat extenders.
One thing I do make regularly is rissoles. I use a 1/4 pound frozen 80/20 ground beef patty, an egg, Italian bread crumbs, finely chopped onion and green pepper and a sprinkle of sage.
Then divide the mixture into four, make into patties and fry them. You end up with four 1/4 pound meat/veggie burgers that taste awesome!

And as a parting gift and a serious cooking tip before I scurry off and cause havoc and mayhem in the dark corners of the Internet.
Portobello mushroom burger. Now a ” burger ” does not have to have cow in it. It is a description of a sandwich, in a bun, with lettuce, onions, tomato, ketchup and mayo.
Try seasoning a Portobello mushroom with onion powder or garlic powder, and herbs. I prefer just using sage as there is one herb in the McCormick Italian seasoning I DO NOT LIKE!
After seasoning let the mushroom rest at room temperature for an hour or so then spray it with oil, I use avocado, and grill it as if it was a beef patty.
Serve on a toasted bun with all the trimmings, but leave off the cheese. The yellow American stuff, a sprinkle of feta or blue cheese will work.

On a different subject, Some one here or over at DoD had a relative, a son in law I think who was applying for a Green Card and I told them to look at it with a microscope. Not the front but the back.
It is a true work of art!
I have one, but alas no microscope. One of the Amazon ear cleaning things for $12.99 may work.
When you see one you will appreciate why it costs $750 to replace if you lose it.

New thing happening in the ‘hood.
I have seen and experienced nice people offering me breakfast Burger King sandwiches outside the convenience store and I always declined as even though I look homeless I have food. ( I think it is a church doing it )
Today went to the store at 2pm. As usual if the local weed seller is there I go chat with him, he is a nice person, six months younger than me so he is fucking old.
Anyway, as we were chatting I noticed he had about 15 pounds of oranges on his passenger seat. Of course I asked ” What da fuck wid de oranges? ” ( I speak gang talk )
It seems that earlier in the day someone was giving out oranges, apples and bananas.
I am now the proud owner of a charity orange destined for the homeless. And I will eat it with reverence.

You know when I get fascinated by something I cannot let it go until I get an answer.
I closely examined my orange and it has several blemishes on its skin. Likely caused by rubbing against a branch or another orange.
Consumers in the USA want everything to be perfect and I suspect these oranges were the ones not sold in Walmart, Kroger, HEB and other stores.
There are strict rules about donating expired food to charities as in ” YOU CAN NOT DO IT!!!! ”
However, fruit has no expiry date, the ugly ones get left on the shelf. If that is where the oranges are coming from I am totally in agreement with this.
