Average calorie intake per day so far this month is 2510.
I know my BMR is about 2300 calories per day so less than that I lose weight, more I gain weight.
So, thus far in October I have been eating and drinking *burp* about 200 calories more per day than I burn. 5,400 calories in excess for the month so far.
Now, one pound of fat is 3,500 calories. BUT that fat is stored in fat cells in the body which also accumulate water. Hence the weight gain above just pure fat would indicate.
Simples, the more I eats the fatter I gets!

On Wednesday evening President Donald Trump announced the United States will resume nuclear weapons testing. Currently the U.S. is banned from conducting all but underground nuclear weapons testing under the 1963 Limited Nuclear Test Ban Treaty. A 1996 Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty would also ban underground testing, although it is not entered into force. China has recently become belligerent on the topic of denuclearization, Trump’s statement comes just hours before he is set to meet with the country’s leader Xi Jinping.

Hot on the heels of the “Skyfall” nuclear powered missile test, comes this about Russias’ claim of a successful nuclear powered torpedo test of 2M39 Status-6 (Poseidon).
So what, you might think…..if this information is true, it redraws the whole balance of first strike nuclear warfare.
Okay…think of the possibilities of a nuclear powered and armed torpedo…..fired from a basically unlimited distance….. against a Naval port like San Diego, Honolulu, or any other seaside defence establishment you can think of….and then include major coastal cities.
It is suggested it will have a range of 10,000 kilometers (more than 6,000 miles). The long range would allow the torpedo to be fired from waters close to Russia, reducing the exposure of the Russian mothership to U.S. and NATO anti-submarine capabilities.
At its alleged speed of 100 knots (about 115 miles per hour), if launched from north of Russia’s Kola Peninsula, the torpedo would take some 40 hours to reach targets on the U.S. East Coast.
No warning….no defence.
Now combine that information….along with the nuclear “Skyfall” missile revelations…..with Putin again restating the Russian nuclear release protocols a few months ago. (I’ll reprint them for you at the bottom of the page)

Responding to this, Russian military expert Alexei Leonkov wrote in 2019 that the role of Burevestniks would be to eliminate the ‘remnants’ of the enemy’s command posts, military bases, factories and power plants after Russia had already fired intercontinental ballistic missiles, by which point the opponent’s air-defence systems would be incapable of stopping them. He said Burevestniks would ‘trample the aggressor countries into the Stone Age’, completing the destruction of their military and civilian infrastructure.”
While the US ‘SLAM’ had an open-loop nuclear ramjet system (the actual air entering and exiting the engine directly contacted the nuclear reactor and thus became highly radioactive), Moscow has to this day remained hushed as to if their Burevestnik’s reactor uses an open-loop or a safer closed-loop design which employs a heat exchanger so as to not emit radioactive exhaust gasses.
Regardless of design or even development risks, both the older American and newer Russian nuclear-powered missiles are “doomsday” or “armageddon” weapons – intended to ensure that a nuclear war is not survivable. Their development is likely geopolitical in nature, serving as a nuclear checkmate, ensuring that the notion of a “survivable” nuclear exchange remains out of the military discourse.
The Burevestnik is “unstoppable” because it is to be used after a nuclear conflict to kill off the survivors when no air defenses remain. Whilst Russia’s Oreshnik is designed for first strike capability…. the Burevestnik is designed for last strike destruction.

They don’t necessarily have to. It depends on whether it’s a closed loop or open loop system. Nuclear subs draw in seawater for cooling, but what comes out isn’t contaminated, because the water never comes in contact with the reactor core. It uses a heat exchanger.

A food post.
For the last few days I have been making a kind of stew or a thick soup or whatever.
Chunks of roast chicken breast, boiled then air fried at 400F for 10 minutes baby yellow potatoes cut in half. A yellow onion coarsely cut up, a splash of chicken stock then crock pot/slow cookered for about three hours and then a can of Campbells mushroom soup added.
Half an hour before serving a can of sliced carrots added. Them things are cooked.
It is nice when eaten fresh, and the next two days when nuked it is just as good.
Latest version which is kind of the same but with 1/2 inch chunks of roasted pork and one other different ingredient.
Instead of carrots then at the end in went a can of sliced green beans.
Took it all to a totally new level taste wise!
Sad thing is breakfast will be the last of it. Going have to be creative yet again for lunch. ( don’t worry, we has sardines in stock now. And canned sweet corn )

1 pound of ground pork, jasmine rice, sweet chili sauce, Ponzo, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and green onions. Separate the whites from the green on the onions and chop. Finely chop the garlic andthe ginger.
Mix the garlic, Pozo, soy sauce, garlic, and half the ginger. Put the other half of the garlic in a pot with a little bit of oil, heat Intel fragrant, add the rice and cook.
Brown the pork. Remove from skillet, heat the garlic and the rest of the ginger until fragrant, then add the green onion whites, cook for a minute, add the pork and the sauce mix. Heat until thickened. Serve over rice.

This is a major Russian move…
Russian forces are now fighting inside the key Ukrainian logistical hub of Pokrovsk, Ukrainian and Russian officials say.

In my early analysis of what made Mamdani the nominee, I noted that there was high turnout by the Pakistani and Bangladeshi Muslim settler population in New York City combined with really low turnout and enthusiasm by traditional Democrats who weren’t exactly enthused by Cuomo et al.
The 5% of New Yorkers who voted in the primary were very much a minority. This was a campaign driven by Mamdani’s fellow Indian Muslims in occupied Pakistan and Bangladesh.

More and more people are pointing to Mamdani’s fake social media engagement coming from bot farms out of Pakistan and India rather than from actual New York City social media users. The X feed is flooded with random promotion of Mamdani coming from accounts that otherwise had few likes or views suddenly ballooning into the tens and hundreds of thousands. This is not organic engagement, but manufactured hype driven by enemy foreign nations rigging a US election.

Anyway meal later yesterday was a steaming bowl of Campbells chicken noodle soup. But as usual I messed with it.
There was half a chicken breast in the fridge that was yelling ” eat me! ” and cut into 1cm chunks ( just less than half an inch cubes in primitive measurements ) when added to the chicken soup takes it to an entirely different level of haute cuisine! ( that is French for really good shit )
This time change really fucked both me and the cats up. It is 8:45am clock time here but we have all been up and at it for hours now and thinking about lunch already.

I have a roach problem. They tend to be attracted to plastic and electronic devices. They invaded and exploded a microwave and absoluthy love to dance around inside my kitchen scale and the bathroom scale where I weigh my plump body.
The solution is, spray underneath my appliances with some 18month indoor outdoor roach repellent and killer.
Does fuck all, it may kill them eventually but they still manage to get into my electrical things.
Latest roach invasion is into air fryer. Into the basket thing. Now, as I am a gourmet cook mostly I cook stuff in a foil packet. Trust me, my food is good.
Anyway, I used to empty the basket of roaches into the sink and flush the bastards away. But I stopped doing that.

Dinner tonight is the other half of the free steaks we got at the food bank a couple of weeks ago.
I put some dry rub on them with salt, pepper, garlic, and some homemade smoked paprika. I’ll put them on the smoker for a while, then kick the temperature up just a bit, then slice them up for sandwiches. It’s a very thin slice of steak, so wouldn’t be a lot of good on its own.

The U.S. Space Force is close to wielding new weapons designed to jam Chinese and Russian satellites in orbit, according to new Space Force data published by Bloomberg this week.
The new weapons, dubbed the Meadowlands and the Remote Modular Terminal, will be able to jam the satellites remotely from almost anywhere in the world. China has an estimated 1,200 satellites in orbit around the Earth, about 500 of which are used for “intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance,” according to a Space Force fact sheet.
Chinese spy satellites are routinely used to track U.S. Navy ship movements and deployed forces across the globe, according to the fact sheet.
“The PLA is improving space-based capabilities combined with its growing arsenal of standoff weaponry to enable long-range precision strikes against U.S. and allied forces,” the fact sheet reads.
The Meadowlands system is under final live-fire testing while the Remote Modular Terminal is being deployed in undisclosed “fielded locations,” the Space Force said Monday. While both systems are still in the early phases, Space Force says both could be “operationally employed” in their current form.

Eating well on a budget.
I log everything I eat and drink daily on a spreadsheet then the daily totals are transferred to a monthly log and the day is deleted and we start anew at midnight.
Yep, I know why I am fat and not loosing weight as my alcohol consumption for October averaged 1450 calories per day and food 1026 calories per day.
Anyway, as I have a database of the food I eat and the nutritional value ( Fat, carbohydrates and proteins ) it is easy to spot what foods are value for money and which foods are not.

Libbys canned carrots, peas and corn are all about the same price. Currently $0.98
Per can calorie count.
Carrots 80, Peas 240, corn 245. Why buy canned carrots? I likes carrots!
Same thing goes for meat. Chicken per pound is more cost effective the less bones that are involved. Pork is the same.
As to shrimp, there is very little nutritional value in a pound of shrimp. You probably get more calories eating a booger than a shrimp! ( I exaggerate slightly )
In conclusion as I don’t eat much but drink too much I have not incorporated into my database what foods are best value if you take fats, Carbs and Protein into consideration.
Without doing the math, canned corn, eggs and cheese are the best value.
Also, as to alcohol. The 5 liter boxes of wine Franzia Vintner Select Cabernet Sauvignon Red Wine costing $16.87 keeps me drunk as a skunk for three days ( on day 2 now )
Whereas a 30 pack of Miller High Life for $21.44 only keeps me sedated for two days.

Pinto beans also need to be cleaned before use. There tend to be tiny bits of rock that end up in the back with them. Pour them into a bowl and pick up a handful at a time and sort of sift through them, then dump them into a second bowl or pot. Repeat until you’ve gone through them all. There won’t be many rocks in there (maybe none), but it only takes one to ruin your day when you bite into it and break a tooth.
While you’re doing that and waiting for them to soak, track down some salt pork (or bacon if you can’t find any). Cut it into small pieces and add it to the beans before cooking. 1/4 lb will do.

Got the bean sprouter out of the cupboard and back in action. It has four compartments and I was using all four to sprout Mung beans, commonly known as bean sprouts for stir fry you can buy canned.
Works great! Fresh sprouty things in about three days, probably four now as it is cooler.
Going to load it up today, two compartments of Mung beans and two compartments of Pinto beans.
You can eat sprouted pinto beans raw.

Then the city can take over the store due to non payment of property tax and seize all the inventory in leu of unpaid taxes.
The city then gets to own the store and the city can then run it!
