Chavez’s influence wanes

It seems Hugo Chavez should change careers. His Bolivarian 3rd World Liberation movement is losing steam. Even Progressive regimes like Brazil are distancing themselves from him. Chavez has increased his singing antics and even talks about Ancient Aliens on Mars. Clearly he is a man on the decline. His growing isolation in Latin America is due to his tightening ties with Iran. Most of them, even if sympathetic in rhetoric, know that these Islamists are trouble.

IPOJUCA, Brazil — Here on Brazil’s northeast coast, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez dreamed of building an oil refinery and naming it after a Brazilian adventurer who had fought for Venezuela’s independence. The joint venture with Brazil, he said in trips here, would help unify Latin America against his adversary, the United States.

The $15 billion refinery is now two years away from completion, but with little input from Venezuela or its mercurial president, who for years backed projects regionwide in his drive to make Venezuela the vanguard of a new era in Latin America.

Indeed, these days Chavez’s influence is waning across the region as Venezuela’s oil-powered economy has gone bust and concerns have been raised about his governing style, which includes the jailing of opponents.

[…]

When the group asked people to rate leaders in the Americas, Chavez finished second to last in its 2010 report. Even in Bolivia and Argentina, countries with warm relations with Venezuela, fewer than 35 percent of those polled had a favorable opinion of Chavez. “Evidently, what’s happening with Chavez is he’s not a leader of the region,” Lagos said.

Hugo Chavez is sill a dangerous character. Venezuela has become a operations hub for Hizb’Allah and Al-Qaeda and his regional isolation means he will be reliant on these groups. Hopefully, his regime will collapse and Venezuela can be a normal nation again.

Maybe he should just pursue his true calling in life. Singing!

I know a Jazz Guitarist in Culver City who might be a good fit for his band!

Hillary Clinton urges Tax Hikes for Rich…..in Latin America!

The Transnationalist Ideology of the Progressives respect no national boundaries of any country. We recently had the Mexican president, Felipe Calderon, lecture us on our immigration laws to the loud applause of Democratic lawmakers. We interfered in whether Israel can build in their own capital. Now we return the favor by having Hillary Clinton go to Latin America and lecture them on having tax increases on the rich. She did this while visiting the Totalitarian progressive regime of Ecuadoran President Rafael Correa. She even praised Correa’s Socialist policies:
“She praised President Correa for working to increase social inclusion in Ecuador, which still suffers from wide disparities of wealth in urban and rural areas.”

The redistributionist Bolivarian Socialist policies of Correa have failed in Ecuador no matter how Hillary spins it and in Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela as well. They have followed the model Hillary advised and it resulted in more poverty for these nations.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Tuesday urged the wealthy across the Americas to pay their “fair share” of taxes in order to eliminate poverty and promote economic opportunity for all.

In a policy speech in the Ecuadoran capital, Clinton said her appeal to overhaul tax systems did not amount to “class warfare” and was instead a recognition that the “winner-take-all-approach” was a drag on progress.

By what right does Hillary Clinton have to tell others what Tax policies to enact? The same right that gives Mexico control over our immigration policies and Saudi Arabia over our foreign policy. It is the concept of Transnationalism which Progressives all throughout the world follow. They do not recognize the sovereignty of nations or the will of the people.

Latin Americans would be wise to ignore Hillary’s economic suggestions and follow the examples of Costa Rica, Colombia, Chile and Panama who have enacted Free Market principles. The path to prosperity is through individualism not collectivism. This is a lesson us Gringos seem to have forgotten!

30,000 Cuban “Advisers” in Venezuela

As Barack Hussein Obama continues to focus on a few apartments in Jerusalem and defending some pedophiles in Afghanistan from another group of pedophiles (the Taliban), trouble is brewing closer to home. Argentina is once again making noise on the Falklands and Obama is now backing them against our traditional ally: The British. Northern Mexico is a war zone and American consulate workers have been killed, but still no protests from the regime of Hussein.  Obama acts as if these events close to home are unimportant.

Now it has been revealed that 30,000 Cuban “advisers” are now in Venezuela propping up the unpopular regime of Hugo Chavez. Chavez has done something very unusual. He has named Cuban Vice President Ramiro Valdes as an adviser on Venezuela’s electricity crisis. By having the Cuban Vice President as a member of the Venezuelan government, is this paving the way for Anschluss between Venezuela and Cuba?

While two wars in Southwest Asia and a dangerous confrontation with Iran dominate President Obama’s foreign- policy worry list, oil-rich Venezuela, much closer to home, is becoming more than a minor irritant.

To date, the Obama administration has dismissed Venezuela’s President Hugo Chávez as a pesky, leftist loudmouth, whose verbal eruptions against the United States pose no threat. But a new era of “Cubanization” in Venezuela should warn of a crackdown against Mr. Chávez’s domestic opponents and a stepped-up drive for socialist revolution across Latin America.

Chávez has been importing “advisers” from Cuba. There are now some 30,000 of them, many of them intelligence, security, and political affairs officers, as well as medical personnel.

The Middle East centric foreign policies of both parties needs to cease. America must secure it’s own Hemisphere first since it’s closer to home. Although the tide of Bolivarian Socialism has receded with recent elections in Latin America, the danger could be worse. With his support crumbling, Chavez could pick a fight with Colombia or get his Argentine puppet Christina Kirchner to start up with the UK. Despots stir up crises when they are in trouble.

Barack Hussein Obama is obsessed with the Muslim world at the expense of the positions in our own backyard. Maybe he wants Chavez and his allies to dominate the region, the same way it is clear he supports Islamic Imperialism against Israel.  Is it possible Obama wants the US to head up the Axis of Evil?

The Collapse of Hugo Chavez’s Bolivarian Progressivism – Update: Socialist gathering in Brazil

Hugo Chavez’s vision of a Progressive controlled Latin America under his Bolivarian Movement is collapsing. In Honduras the people rejected his puppet Zelaya. He has devalued the currency and there are power outages in Venezuela. Chavez is is claiming the US used a weapon to cause the Haitian Earthquake. Like his fellow Progressives and former ally Barack Hussein Obama, his reality is collapsing.

While the world has been preoccupied with the crisis in Haiti, Latin America has quietly passed through a tipping point in the ideological conflict that has polarized the region — and paralyzed U.S. diplomacy — for most of the past decade.

The result boils down to this: Hugo Chávez’s “socialism for the 21st century” has been defeated and is on its way to collapse.

Progressivism is a failed ideology. Hugo Chavez’s Bolivarian is just the latest incarnation of this evil anti-human movement. It will enter the dust bin of history as Nazism and  Stalinism. Hopefully Obama’s New left Progressivism will also be rejected. Hugo and Obama are both same sides of the same coin. We must prevent America into becoming like Venezuela.

Update: In related Latin American Progressive news, there is a Tranzi gathering in Brazil.

PORTO ALEGRE, Brazil – Leftists are pouring into town to rail against freewheeling capitalism during the World Social Forum, gleefully cheering the humbling of bankers and business titans by the global economic meltdown.

The Progressives are celebrating economic hard times. This shows their inhumane nature, they are enjoying people suffering. This is the Cloward-Piven strategy on a global scale. Progressives hate humanity and this is just more evidence.
